Chapter 489: Friendly Stone Statue

"My turn, draw."

Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan drew a card, only glanced at it, and then casually changed the monster card on the Duel Disk from Attack to Defense.

"I change 'Aztec Stone Statue' from Attack Position to Defense Position."

【Aztec Stone Statue, ATK 300 -> DEF 2000】

"Then set one monster in face-down Defense Position on the field," Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan said. "Finally, add one set card, turn end."

Seeing this operation of his, Guardian Baou couldn't help but laugh up to the sky.

"Blindly defending, have you completely run out of options... well, as an opponent of Baou, one of the Five-Man Group, there really is no other choice, right."

Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan looked at him expressionlessly, letting him laugh there.

"Fine," Guardian Baou raised the corners of his mouth, proudly. "Then let me help you end this torment this turn.

My turn, draw!"

He glanced at the Continuous Trap in his back row and said.

"In the Standby Phase, the Continuous Trap 'Level Gravity Multiplication' still must sacrifice one monster to maintain its existence. Well, it's no longer needed at this step.

I choose not to pay the cost and let this card be destroyed."

Level Gravity Multiplication exploded into fragments with a bang, and the black energy sphere in mid-air disappeared.

"Now the attack restriction for Level 4 is lifted, but it doesn't matter anymore. This turn, end this duel!" Guardian Baou shouted. "I summon 'Gene-Warped Warwolf' in Attack Position!"

A white werewolf modified by genes, with a strong body born for battle, a fierce face, and four arms full of destructive power, known as the strongest combat power without side effects among Level 4 monsters.

【Gene-Warped Warwolf, ATK 2000】

"Go, use 'Demon Giant God', attack 'Aztec Stone Statue'!"

The huge demon god danced its clumsy arms again, and a palm as if covering the sky and sun blasted straight toward the stone statue on Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan's field.

But Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan was waiting for this moment.

"Activate set card," Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan snapped his fingers. "Trap card 'Wall of Disruption'."

The trap activated, and the rift that stretched out immediately divided the field, just like a divided cake. Several pieces of ground sank with a bang, and the invisible force pressed toward Baou's field like invisible gravity.

"Wall of Disruption, activated when the opponent's monster declares an attack. The ATK of all Attack Position monsters on the opponent's field decreases by 800 points times the number of monsters on the opponent's field."

"Number of monsters times 800... I have three monsters on my field," Baou frowned. "That is to say, the ATK of Demon Giant God, Two-Headed Beast, and Gene-Warped Warwolf must all decrease by 2400?"

The ATK of the Demon Giant God with the highest ATK on his field was only 2400; taking this Wall of Disruption, the ATK of his three big monsters would all drop to zero in one breath!

"Not bad. And 'Aztec Stone Statue', which you chose as the attack target, also has another effect," Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan smiled lightly. "When Aztec Stone Statue is attacked by the opponent, the battle damage caused to the opponent player in that battle becomes double the original!"

Guardian Baou: "!"

Double the original, wouldn't that mean!?

【Aztec Stone Statue, DEF 2000】

If Wall of Disruption reduces the ATK of the three monsters on his side to 0, then the battle damage of any monster's attack passing through, if the battle is established, will bounce back to him 2000 times two, which is 4000 points of battle damage.

OTK in the opponent's turn!

"You brat... was this your tactic from the beginning!?" Guardian Baou shouted.

In the dimension they lived in under the leadership of the Supreme King, which extremely worshipped power, this could almost be said to be an unimagined path.

In fact, one can tell from the dueling of this Guardian Baou. His Continuous Trap "Level Gravity Multiplication" is a card filled with contempt for low-level monsters, and under the coverage of this trap, only high-level monsters have the right to appear and fight.

But now it seems that his blockade has no meaning to this person in front of him at all.

Because this guy didn't have the intention to attack from the beginning!

Completely not intending to launch an attack to obtain victory, this kind of thing was unimaginable to these locals in the past. This person neither intended to attack, nor intended to summon big monsters, nor did he have the intention to break through Baou's blockade or defeat the lineup on his field.

He actually only planned to use a one-time OTK-level collision to kill the opponent in seconds! This bold tactic made Baou feel shocked in his heart, but...

"Counter Trap!" Guardian Baou shouted loudly, activating the back row. "'Seven Tools of the Bandit'!"

"When a trap card is activated, pay 1000 Life Points, negate the activation of that trap and destroy it!"

【Guardian Baou, LP 3000 -> LP 2000】

"Pay 1000 Life Points, negate the activation of 'Wall of Disruption' and destroy it!"

The trap card was destroyed, and the crisscrossing cracks on the ground immediately returned to normal. The field also returned to normal, and the Demon Giant God strode over, the attack continuing.

Counter Traps cannot be chained by other cards, and the Demon Giant God's palm passed through smoothly, blasting the Aztec Stone Statue into pieces.

"What an insidious outsider, do all the duels in your world rely on such sneaky means?" Guardian Baou wiped his sweat secretly. "That was close, if it weren't for Seven Tools of the Bandit, I would have almost fallen for your trick."

But after such a move, he also became secretly vigilant against Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan in his heart.

This child is poisonous and must be solved quickly to avoid long nights and many dreams.

"But this time it's really over!" Guardian Baou shouted. "Then it's Gene-Warped Warwolf, attack the face-down monster!"

【Gene-Warped Warwolf, ATK 2000】

!. Read

Destroy the face-down monster, and he still has the Two-Headed Beast on his field that hasn't attacked. Two-Headed Beast can attack twice per Battle Phase, and the opponent's remaining Life Points are 2400.

Guardian Baou narrowed his eyes, and the corners of his mouth raised proudly.

Got it.

"Activate set card," Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand carelessly, flipping over another back row card. "Trap card 'Fear Strike'."

"Another trap?" Baou frowned.

"The effect of Fear Strike, banish two monsters from my Graveyard, select any one face-up Attack Position monster on the field."

Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan revealed the two "Giant Rats" in the Graveyard and explained.

"I banish two 'Giant Rats' from the Graveyard and select your face-up Attack Position 'Gene-Warped Warwolf' to activate.

The monster selected by the effect of 'Fear Strike'... its ATK becomes 0 until the end of the turn."

Guardian Baou: "..."

"..."

"..."

【Gene-Warped Warwolf, ATK 2000 -> ATK 0】

The Gene-Warped Warwolf, known as the strongest Level 4, was tricked by the trap and immediately wilted, like a deflated balloon.

"Of course, your attack declaration has already been made, and the number of monsters on the field has not changed, so the attack command cannot be withdrawn."

Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan narrowed his eyes and smiled.

"The effect of Aztec Stone Statue, when the battle is established, give the opponent player double... that is, 4000 points of battle damage."

He paused and reminded kindly.

"If you have any last words, this might be the last chance."

Guardian Baou: "Your mother..."

Gene-Warped Warwolf slapped the stone statue, and was bounced back by the huge force. The backlash force turned into a transparent cyclone, blasting directly onto Baou's face like an air cannon, blasting the second half of the sentence he couldn't finish back into his stomach.
