Chapter 540

"Arghhh!"

Ryuzaki let out a shrill, miserable scream.

The terrifying impact was not merely a burning pain in his body; the moment he was struck by the Dragon God's breath, Ryuzaki felt as if he had been literally pierced through by despair. His entire body felt as if it had fallen into an ice cave, his hands and feet were cold, and his thoughts seemed to have frozen.

【Ryuzaki, LP 4000 → LP 2400】

Ryuzaki struggled to kneel on one knee.

"What is up with this monster?" He looked at the terrifying demon opposite him with lingering fear. "A spirit of darkness?"

Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

"Grapha is the most terrifying existence from the Dark World, once a fearsome Demon God who ruled an entire dimension. Until he was defeated by an even more terrifying existence."

The Dragon God let out a muffled low growl.

It meant that my lord was too kind, and that now, you are the more terrifying one.

"I set one card and end my turn," Fujiki You Xuan said.

"Revolver, your reputation is certainly not just for show. You really are hard to deal with."

Ryuzaki stood up and snorted.

"But I have never been afraid of anyone in my life!"

Back in the day, when facing Katsuya Jonouchi, Yugi Mutou, and Seto Kaiba, although he hadn't won, he had never been afraid of anyone. He had always felt that he belonged among the legends and that he should be extraordinary.

"My turn, draw!" Ryuzaki said. "I activate the Spell Card 'Adversity Treasure'!

If the opponent has a Special Summoned monster on their field and I have no monsters on my field, I draw two cards from my deck!"

Ryuzaki drew two cards.

"Then I Normal Summon 'Small Horn Dragon'!"

【Small Horn Dragon, ATK 500】

Fujiki You Xuan raised an eyebrow.

Oh, he summoned something quite terrifying as if it were nothing.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card 'Dark Hole'!" Ryuzaki held the DM-era mass-destruction weapon high. "Destroy all monsters on the field!"

The background briefly changed into a cosmic sea of stars, and a terrifying black hole rapidly opened, devouring the starry sky, extinguishing all things, and sucking even the last glimmer of light into it without a trace.

The Dragon God of Dark World and the Small Horn Dragon on his own field were both swallowed into it, reduced to ashes.

"Ah, our powerful Dragon God that we went through so much trouble to summon..."

The spirit's big eye behind Fujiki You Xuan sighed with regret, but it quickly cheered up.

"But, your own monster was destroyed too!"

Fujiki You Xuan glanced at this eye that didn't look very smart.

"He deliberately summoned a monster first and then activated Dark Hole. Do you think that was an operational error?"

The big eye was stunned and blinked twice in a daze.

"Eh? Isn't it?"

Sure enough, he then heard Ryuzaki say: "The effect of Small Horn Dragon! When this card is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon one Level 4 or lower Dinosaur-type monster from my deck.

I Special Summon 'Sword Horn Dragon' from my deck!"

【Sword Horn Dragon, ATK 1900】

"Oh oh, there really was a follow-up effect!" When the big eye looked at Fujiki You Xuan, it turned into a look of worship. "Lord Revolver is truly a powerful duelist; he even predicted this!"

Fujiki You Xuan: "..."

Well, it's hard to say if this spirit is powerful or not, but its brain is definitely not working very well.

"Then I activate the Spell Card 'Big Evolution Pill'!" Ryuzaki said. "I Tribute one Dinosaur-type monster on my field. For the next three turns, counting the opponent's turn, while this card remains on the field, I can Normal Summon Level 5 or higher Dinosaur-type monsters without Tributes!

I Tribute 'Sword Horn Dragon'!"

Sword Horn Dragon dissipated into light spots, and the Spell Card depicting the evolution drug appeared in Ryuzaki's back row.

"Therefore, I can Normal Summon a high-level Dinosaur without Tributes!

Then I activate the Spell Card 'Double Summon', so I can perform a second Normal Summon this turn. Appear, my new strongest Dinosaur—

—Ultimate Tyranno!!!"

A domineering aura, like the roar of the king of beasts, shook the mountains and forests. A dinosaur that seemed to be covered in steel armor descended with a thunderous, overwhelming force.

【Ultimate Tyranno, ATK 3000】

"A very powerful guy has appeared on the other side!"

The spirit's big eye began to get nervous.

"Is it okay? Lord Revolver?"

"Be quiet," Fujiki You Xuan said.

"Oh."

And so the big eye really stopped talking.

Well, if it were the Ultimate Tyranno's future alias, "Ultimate Conductor Tyranno," it would indeed be a bit tricky in this era. But if it's just Ultimate Tyranno...

"Your field is already empty, so this is the end!" Ryuzaki said. "Ultimate Tyranno, direct attack!"

The spirit's big eye looked at Fujiki You Xuan in horror, seemingly wanting to ask something, but remembering that Fujiki You Xuan didn't let it speak, it let out a string of strange "mm-mm-oh-oh" sounds.

"I activate a Trap." Fujiki You Xuan activated his face-down card. "Continuous Trap 'Level Limit - Area B'—no, 'Light of Intervention'." (Correction: 'Light of Intervention' is not the effect, the text says 'Light of Protection Spirit Sword'.) "Continuous Trap 'Light of Protection Spirit Sword'.

When an opponent's monster declares an attack, I pay 1000 Life Points to negate the attack."

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 2600 → LP 1600】

Golden light turned into spirit swords that pierced down from the sky, forming a barrier in front of Fujiki You Xuan. Ultimate Tyranno crashed into the sword formation, as if hitting a wall; it let out a wail, stumbled back two steps, and retreated dejectedly.

"Tch, he actually managed to hang on."

Ryuzaki snorted.

"Well, with your Life Points, you can at most activate it one more time. I'll let you live for one more turn."

"Is that so? Then thank you very much, you're actually quite a nice guy," Fujiki You Xuan laughed.

Ryuzaki: "..."

For some reason, even though he clearly felt he had the advantage, he couldn't laugh at all.

"My turn, draw."

Fujiki You Xuan slowly revealed a card from his hand.

"I activate the Spell Card 'Necro Offering'. By Special Summoning a monster from my Graveyard to the opponent's field, I can reduce the number of Tributes required for a high-level monster's Normal Summon." (Original card)

Fujiki You Xuan generously raised his Duel Disk, and a ball of dark light shot out from his Graveyard, landing on Ryuzaki's field.

"I Special Summon 'Ice Barrier Tiger General - Raiho' to your field."

【Ice Barrier Tiger General - Raiho, ATK 2100】

"You're actually giving me such a powerful high-level monster?" Ryuzaki put his hands on his hips, continuing to spout trash talk. "Are you trying to give up the struggle and deliberately letting me finish you off as quickly as possible?"

That spirit eye couldn't help but say: "Eh? Giving such a powerful monster to the opponent, wouldn't that be terrible?"

"Yeah, yeah, it's pretty terrible."

Fujiki You Xuan said with a chuckle.

"For him, I suppose so. With the effect of Necro Offering, I can reduce the number of Tributes required for a monster in my hand by one.

Therefore, I can summon a Level 5 monster without Tributes. I summon 'Dark World Martial God - Goldd'."

【Dark World Martial God - Goldd, ATK 2300】

"Then I activate the Spell Card 'Monster Reborn' to revive a monster from my Graveyard to the field," Fujiki You Xuan continued. "I revive the monster that was also discarded by the Power Wall from the Graveyard.

Cannon Soldier, summon."

【Cannon Soldier, ATK 1400】

"With this, the preparations are complete," Fujiki You Xuan smiled.
