Chapter 618

"Guardian of the Sacred Land, activate!"

Dark blue flames jumped and formed a ring, wrapping the duel field inside.

As if in that instant, the valley collapsed. The flying dust covered the scorching sun, all the rocks collapsed with a rumble, and that forbidden resting King's Valley disintegrated under the power of nature, turning into nothingness.

Blue flames dominated the field, that was the domain of giant rocks.

This card was not released as a physical card, and it was the field Jim used when he played against the Supreme King in his famous anime battle.

"Guardian of the Sacred Land is a field exclusive to the Rock clan." Jim said, "In this domain, every time a Rock-type monster is successfully Normal Summoned, place a Guardian Counter on that monster.

Monsters with counters, whether in battle or destroyed by card effects, can remove the Guardian Counter on them to replace the destruction!"

In other words, it gave all Rock-type monsters an extra life.

Of course, this field itself should not be Jim's main purpose. The more critical point was that the appearance of the new field squeezed out the original one.

This was the rule of the early Yu-Gi-Oh, which might be relatively unfamiliar to new players. But the field magic in the early Yu-Gi-Oh could only exist as one, even if it wasn't the same field area, but the activation of a new field would squeeze out the old one.

This was also one of the most commonly used means to solve troublesome fields in the early days, because using a new field to squeeze out the old one belonged to rule destruction, which did not enter a chain and could not be countered.

But this rule had been abolished for many years. In modern Yu-Gi-Oh, both sides could have a field magic on the field, and they would not conflict with the opponent's field.

Under the rules of the GX era, Jim's activation of the old field naturally squeezed out Fujiki You Xuan's Necrovalley.

Getting rid of the shackles of the mother Necrovalley, Jim immediately raised his eyebrows and felt better.

"Then activate magic card 'Graceful Charity'!" Jim said, "Draw three cards from the deck, then discard two hand cards into the graveyard."

Obviously, Jim must want to take this opportunity to transport resources to the graveyard. The graveyard resources of the Fossil deck were crucial, after all, it was an archaeology deck, and all the big monsters were dug out of the grave.

Fujiki You Xuan naturally couldn't let him get his wish.

"Actually solved Necrovalley, not bad, not bad. However..."

He smiled, and his tone changed.

"How about this?"

Jim was stunned.

Then he saw Fujiki You Xuan raise his hand, and the trap in the back row that was emitting an ominous aura slowly opened, revealing its sinister and ferocious claws.

Continuous Trap - Macro Cosmos!

"The effect of Macro Cosmos." Fujiki You Xuan said, "All cards sent to the graveyard are not sent to the graveyard, but are banished directly from the game!"

Jim: "..."

The starry sky appeared above this sacred rock barrier, and then quickly zoomed in, as if placing the field between the starry sky.

Vast power came from the boundless universe, a black hole opened above Jim's head, endless gravity released, capturing the two cards he had just discarded, all rolled into the different dimension and disappeared without a trace.

Jim was silent.

He was really stupid, really.

He thought that by getting rid of the mother Necrovalley, he could get the liberation of the graveyard and could show his Fossil monsters he was proud of.

But God knew, after getting rid of one Necrovalley, there was still this kind of heavyweight thing hidden behind it.

If it was just prohibiting grave digging just now, now it was simply directly raising his entire grave...

"Didn't successfully send the Fossils to the graveyard, what a pity." Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

Jim: "..."

However, he took a deep breath repeatedly and had already adjusted. Can't panic, not yet at the end of the road.

Although the grave was raised now, there was still a little bit of resources accumulated in the graveyard before. Now that Necrovalley disappeared, it was finally possible to mobilize.

"Activate magic card 'Fossil Fusion'!"

As if having gone through all kinds of hardships, Jim finally played his key card.

"Banish monsters from your or the opponent's graveyard as fusion materials, and perform a fusion summon of a 'Fossil' fusion monster!"

"Still want to fuse, huh." Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

"I banish the Rock-type 'Shell Knight' from my graveyard, and the level-five 'Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch' from your graveyard, as fusion materials to fuse!"

In the sacred barrier where both sides stood, the earth cracked. Shell Knight and Thestalos in both graveyards broke through the ground one after another, but the bodies of the two monsters were decaying and broken, as if they had been buried underground and eroded by countless years.

Then the two monsters merged into the fusion vortex, absorbed into the Fossil Fusion magic card. Then a surprising energy torrent erupted from the vortex in the middle of the card, as if crossing the shackles of endless time.

"The fusion condition is Rock-type monster plus five to six-star monster, fusion summon—

—Fossil Warrior Skull Knight!!!"

A body composed entirely of skeletons, the skeleton frame was like an indestructible armor. He held a sword and shield, wore a cloak, and the whole shape was full of the breath of time.

【Fossil Warrior Skull Knight, ATK 2400】

Finally!

Jim felt that it might be the first time in his life that he had gained such huge satisfaction and sense of achievement when successfully activating Fossil Fusion.

There was a refreshing feeling that the depression that had been accumulated for a long time was swept away in an instant!

Is this the wonderful thing about dueling with the King of Games?

"Battle!" Jim shouted, "Use 'Fossil Warrior Skull Knight' to attack 'Caius the Shadow Monarch'!"

【Caius the Shadow Monarch, ATK 2400】

The Shadow Monarch also cheered up, stepped forward proudly, and gathered dark fluctuations in his palms.

"Same attack power." Caius snorted, "This guy, wants to die with this deity?"

"Not really."

Fujiki You Xuan reminded him calmly.

"People have a barrier."

"Eh?" Caius blinked.

Boom!

Skull Knight's sword slashed onto the fluctuations blasted by Caius. Sure enough, both sides were evenly matched, and the sword wind and energy intersection exploded.

Both monsters were swallowed by it. But Skull Knight raised his shield to block, and after blocking the impact, he only staggered back. While Caius was directly blown to pieces.

"Field magic 'Guardian of the Sacred Land', let the Rock-type 'Skull Knight' gain a Guardian Counter when summoned."

Jim shouted.

"I replaced the destruction of Skull Knight by removing the counter!"

Caius, who had already turned into a ghost state, cursed: "Fair duel! This round doesn't count! Demand a rematch! Demand a rematch!"
