Chapter 619

"Rematch! I demand a rematch!"

Caius felt that he had no face, and the rare appearance opportunity was destroyed so casually, making him feel like a small fry.

However, soon this Shadow Monarch deeply realized a truth, that is, one should be cautious when making wishes.

Because sometimes, wishes really do come true.

Caius, who was still shouting, didn't even have time to recover, only felt a trance before his eyes, and in a daze, he flashed onto the field.

He blinked his eyes and couldn't help but look down at his body.

No longer a semi-transparent ghost, but a physical body... or rather, a stereoscopic projection that looked like a physical body.

But why? Wasn't he just beaten down?

Then he noticed a Quick-Play Magic that Jim had added to the duel disk at some point.

"Before the battle occurred, I activated the Quick-Play Magic 'Half Life'." Jim smiled, "This card can select any monster on the field.

The selected monster, if destroyed by battle this turn, can only have its attack halved once, and the destruction is negated!" (Original card)

【Caius the Shadow Monarch, ATK 2400 → ATK 1200】

Caius realized. That's why he couldn't retire.

But why? Why use your own cards to protect the opponent's monster from being destroyed?

Fujiki You Xuan reminded: "Skull Knight's monster effect."

"Already noticed, huh?" Jim smiled, "Not bad. Skull Knight's effect, when there is a monster on the opponent's field, it can attack again during the battle phase."

Caius: "!"

He finally understood at this moment.

After he was destroyed, there were no monsters on the master's field, and the opponent couldn't continue to attack. But pulling him up satisfied the prerequisite of "when there is a monster on the field," and Skull Knight gained the opportunity to continue the pursuit.

And Caius's attack was halved, which could be used to deal great damage!

Caius was furious.

This means you want to whip the corpse, right?

At this time, Sorcerer floated out leisurely, not hiding his mockery at all: "You wanted a rematch, perform well."

Caius cursed: "Shut the hell up! This doesn't count..."

But the second half of the sentence had already been interrupted by Jim: "Skull Knight's additional attack!"

Another sword slashed down. Last time he managed to fight to a draw, this time Caius was like a small fry, being slashed off the field depressedly with a mouth full of dirty words.

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 1800 → LP 600】

The Shadow Monarch retired with a dark face. Sorcerer floated beside him with his arms crossed.

Caius glared at him: "If you dare say half a word..."

Sorcerer didn't hesitate: "Trash."

Caius was furious. The two ghosts fought and tangled together on the side.

"Beautiful attack."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled and nodded, affirming Jim's performance.

Jim didn't speak.

But this was likely his last struggle.

Necrovalley was followed closely by Macro Cosmos, the graveyard was almost empty, and he couldn't send new resources later. His Fossil deck basically couldn't move at all...

Jim: "Set one card, turn ends."

"My turn, draw."

Fujiki You Xuan looked at the card he drew and smiled slightly.

"Using a Fossil deck, to fight to this extent under such absolutely unfavorable circumstances, not bad, not bad. Only 600 HP left, it seems I can't help but be a little serious on my side..."

Jim was not surprised, but smiled helplessly: "Sure enough, the King didn't take it seriously at all."

"Activate magic card from hand..."

Fujiki You Xuan revealed the magic in his hand.

"Magic card 'Unexpected Dai'. When there are no monsters on my field, special summon a normal monster level four or lower from the deck."

Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand.

"Special summon 'Gladiator Beast Andal'!"

【Gladiator Beast Andal, ATK 1900】

Jim was surprised: "Gladiator Beast?"

A deck I've never heard of...

"Then special summon 'Gladiator Beast Samnite' from my hand!"

【Gladiator Beast Samnite, ATK 600】

"Samnite can be special summoned when there is a Gladiator Beast on my field.

Then Samnite's other effect. Tribute this card, return the 'Gladiator Beast' on the field to the deck. Special summon a 'Gladiator Beast' from the deck.

I sacrifice Samnite, then return the 'Gladiator Beast Andal' on the field to the deck, and special summon any Gladiator Beast from the deck.

Come on! Gladiator Beast Augustus!"

The pitch-black storm, a bird-beast Gladiator warrior with a sharp beak and wide giant wings descended domineeringly.

【Gladiator Beast Augustus, ATK 2600】 "Augustus was successfully special summoned by the Gladiator Beast effect, can special summon a 'Gladiator Beast' from the hand in defense position."

Fujiki You Xuan slapped another card in his hand.

"Special summon 'Gladiator Beast Bestiari'!"

【Gladiator Beast Bestiari, DEF 800】

"Bestiari's effect, when successfully summoned by the Gladiator Beast effect, destroy one magic or trap card on the field."

Fujiki You Xuan hooked his finger and pointed to Jim's back row.

"Destroy the set card in the back row."

The set card in Jim's back row flipped, and it exploded with a pop.

Sakuretsu Armor.

Fujiki You Xuan: "..."

!. Read

This time he was speechless.

No...

Sakuretsu Armor No. 2 is still okay.

To be fair, "powerful" traps like Sakuretsu Armor are indeed common traps of the era, not only in the animation world but also in the physical card environment of the same period. So he met many people who loved to use Sakuretsu Armor, this is not strange.

But he was seeing someone with two Sakuretsu Armors in a row for the first time.

Fujiki You Xuan, who was thinking of this, couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for Jim in his heart.

A real man.

Jim: "?"

Although he was annoyed that his Sakuretsu Armor No. 2 also died before it could succeed... but why did he suddenly feel that the King of Games' look at him was a bit strange?

Fujiki You Xuan: "Then normal summon 'Gladiator Beast Equeste'."

【Gladiator Beast Equeste, ATK 1600】

"Then return Augustus, Bestiari, and Equeste, three Gladiator Beasts, from the field to the deck, triple contact fusion!"

Jim was shocked: "Actually triple contact fusion?"

"Not bad, Gladiator Beast fusion doesn't need fusion magic." Fujiki You Xuan said, "The fusion condition is Augustus plus two or more Gladiator Beasts!

The ghost of the ancient wandering gladiator, gathered in the name of the Emperor, offer that supreme power—

—Gladiator Beast Blind!"

The triple fusion Gladiator Beast with animation-exclusive effects designed by President Pegasus under the blessing of the Light of Destruction, Gladiator Beast Blind!

【Gladiator Beast Blind, ATK 1000】

"Then Blind's effect, fusion summon successful, special summon a Gladiator Beast fusion monster ignoring summoning conditions!"

Fujiki You Xuan raised another card in his hand.

"The raptor fighter living in ancient times, fused with the soul of the gladiator, turned into a veteran warrior! Fusion summon—

—Gladiator Beast Caesar!"

In the name of the ancient Roman Emperor, the competitive king of the arena, the green bird-beast warrior descended in the green whirlwind!

【Gladiator Beast Caesar, ATK 2400】

"Two such fusion monsters all at once..." Jim was shocked, "What terrifying explosive power..."

"It's a bit too early to be surprised now."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

"Caesar's effect, summon successful, can destroy up to two cards on the field."

Jim: "!"

Not only destroyed his back-row Sakuretsu Armor defense line, but also could continue to explode...

Gladiator Beast, although it was an unheard-of deck, its destructive power was also top-tier among the decks he had seen.

Jim didn't know at this time that if his Fossil deck was developed and excavated, its potential would also be quite huge.

Of course, that was a future thing. In the GX era, Fossils hadn't even been released as physical cards, while Gladiator Beasts had already topped the world championship.

At this time, Jim only had two cards left on the field. The Skull Knight in the front row and the Guardian of the Sacred Land in the back row were instantly blown to pieces under the storm and sky-filling wings of Caesar.

Of course, even this Skull Knight couldn't enter the graveyard, but was banished by Macro Cosmos.

This meant that even if he could survive this turn, it would be difficult to have sustainability to continue fighting later.

And Fujiki You Xuan's Gladiator Beasts hadn't even reached their limit yet.

The reason why he didn't continue to operate was because Jim's field was already clean and had no cards. Otherwise, he could have continued to explode.

"Battle."

Fujiki You Xuan said.

"Gladiator Beast Caesar, attack directly."

【Jim, LP 1600 → LP 0】
