Chapter 627: Ancient Gear Mystery

The ultimate mystery of Ancient Gear!

Once these words were spoken, everyone's expression became stern.

"Ultimate mystery... but isn't Professor Chronos's trump card Ancient Gear Golem?" Marufuji Sho expressed doubt.

"No." Misawa's expression was stern, and he said in a deep voice, "Ancient Gear has another trump card, one that is said to be the evolution of Ancient Gear Golem, the true final trump card.

But in the dueling world, even among the users of the already rare Ancient Gear deck, duelists who can master this power are few and far between."

"So powerful!?" Marufuji Sho expressed surprise and couldn't help but look at Chronos in surprise, "Does the instructor actually have such a powerful card?"

"It's just my guess." Misawa said, "But at least since we entered the school, no one has ever seen the professor use it. An existence that surpasses Ancient Gear Golem might just be a legend..."

Indeed, in the anime, Chronos's trump card for most of the first half was just Ancient Gear Golem. It wasn't until very late that he revealed the so-called strongest trump card that surpassed Ancient Gear, using it in the last battle against Judai Yuki in the final semester, and even saying "I didn't expect to use this card against a student" when summoning it.

Many later fans also used this as the basis for Chronos's assessment battle against Student Judai when he first entered the school being a "water-releasing" (holding back) act.

"Activate Spell Card 'Ancient Gear Double Construction'!" Chronos said, "Select two monsters with 'Ancient Gear' in their name from the Graveyard, and Special Summon those selected monsters to your field!" (Original card)

An anime original card exclusive to Ancient Gear.

"Just now 'Graceful Charity' discarded an 'Ancient Gear Golem' from my hand, and 'Foolish Burial' discarded another one from the deck."

Chronos raised his arm and shouted.

"Su Sheng the two 'Ancient Gear Golems' in the Graveyard!"

Ruins of steel appeared on the ground, and ancient gears were assembled into shape within the ruins, forming the images of two towering golems, slowly rising, looking down from above, still majestic, but the red light released by the single eye had already dimmed.

"The effects of monsters revived by this effect are negated." Chronos said, "But they can be used as Fusion Materials!"

Chronos said.

"I activate Spell Card 'Fusion' from my hand!

Fuse the two Ancient Gear Golems on the field and this last 'Ancient Gear Golem' in my hand that was bounced back by Worm Agon last turn!"

He revealed the monster card in his hand, and the third Ancient Gear Golem was also projected onto the field, being drawn into the fusion vortex along with the other two Golems.

The mechanical fusion was like a giant creature that had been sleeping since ancient times being awakened. Appearing from the energy raging in the vortex, the upper body presented the humanoid structure of Ancient Gear Golem, the mechanical parts were precise and complex, exuding a cold metallic luster. The lower body was in the form of a centaur, with steel hooves stepping on the ground, and arms covered in heavy armor.

Ancient Gear Ultimate Golem, summon!

【Ancient Gear Ultimate Golem, Attack 4400】

"Oh oh, it's actually real!" Kenzan was excited, "Professor Chronos really has such an incredible monster, I have to change my opinion of him!"

"What are you talking about."

Judai smiled with his hands on his hips.

"The professor has always been very strong."

Chronos looked at Judai meaningfully and closed his eyes gently.

"Thanks, poor student."

He murmured to himself, then raised his head again.

"Battle, none!"

Chronos scanned Fujiki You Xuan's field, his thoughts turning rapidly.

The biggest threat on the field now is undoubtedly Worm Victory, but now Victory is bound by teammate Napoleon's Gulliver Chain, so it should be no cause for concern for the time being.

Then the first thing to solve is the Worm Agon that will bounce monsters back to the hand when flipped. Although Agon is face-up now, if the opponent is playing underworld flip, there should be many things like the "W Nebula Meteorite" just now that can make monsters flip repeatedly.

"Ancient Gear Ultimate Golem, attack 'Worm Agon'!"

Electric currents leaped from the mechanical Golem, and the heavy punch that broke through the air exploded with transparent air waves, smashing Agon Worm into pieces with one punch. "When Ancient Gear Ultimate Golem attacks, the opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap cards!" Chronos shouted.

After Ancient Gear Golem's punch smashed Worm Agon, it didn't lose its momentum, and the illusory fist shadow continued to blast towards Fujiki You Xuan. But of course, it was blocked by the transparent barrier when it approached him.

"Continuous Trap 'Soul Barrier', as long as there is a monster on the field, I will not receive battle damage." Fujiki You Xuan smiled, "Even piercing damage is no exception. The teacher shouldn't have forgotten, right?"

"Tch... then my turn ends, none."

He looked at Instructor Napoleon.

"The rest is up to you!"

"Don't worry, I understand!" Napoleon said, "My turn, draw!

I activate Spell Card 'Trap Removal'!"

The image of the Spell Card appeared in his back row.

"This card can destroy one Trap Card on the field. I destroy 'Soul Barrier'!"

Fujiki You Xuan's trap was destroyed, and at the same time, the golden transparent barrier protecting his field also shattered.

"Great!" Chronos said, "This way the strongest defense is lifted, and we can deal damage to him, none!"

Instructor Napoleon: "Then activate Spell Card 'Tribute to the Doomed's Treasure'. Banish the Spell Cards 'Forced March', 'Drum Corps', and 'Trap Removal' from the Graveyard, draw two cards!" (Original card)

"Then activate Spell Card 'Emperor's Coronation Ceremony'!

Offer one Toy Soldier on my field as an Offering, Special Summon 'Toy Emperor' from the deck!"

I saw a formation pattern appear under the feet of the last Toy Soldier on Napoleon's field, and golden light erupted from the formation, rushing into the sky.

The small soldier underwent a transformation in the light, riding a toy steed, holding the reins, and drawing the Emperor's sword, his eyes looking straight ahead as if he were going forward without hesitation.

Toy Emperor, summon!

【Toy Emperor, Attack 2300】

"The soldier transformed into an emperor?" Misawa said.

Marufuji Sho: "It really feels a bit like Napoleon..."

"Then activate Spell Card 'Iron Call', if there is a Machine-Type monster on my field, I can Special Summon a Machine-Type monster of Level 4 or lower from the Graveyard."

Napoleon said.

"Special Summon 'Toy Soldier' from the Graveyard!"

【Toy Soldier, Attack 800】

Then he paused and gave Chronos a look.

"Chronos-pro-tem, lend me your power!"

"No problem!" Since Chronos said he would work together to win, he naturally had no complaints, "No matter what, we must win, Instructor Napoleon!"

"I know!"

Napoleon raised the card in his hand and said loudly.

"Activate Spell Card 'Forced Transfer'!"
