Chapter 626: As a Teacher

Napoleon's back-row face-down card activated, and a pitch-black, heavy toy heavy cannon landed on the field.

A toy soldier ran up with small steps and lit the fuse. The sparks burned to the end along the fuse, but heard a muffled "bang", the heavy cannon fired, and a shell exploded from the muzzle, hitting the giant Worm's lower abdomen head-on.

Worm Victory staggered back, although it was not defeated, it couldn't help but kneel on one knee, changing from attack to defense.

【Worm Victory, Attack 12500 -> Defense 2500】

Napoleon: "Then Toy Cannon will also deal 400 damage to the controller, aru!"

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 4000 -> LP 3600】

Several students outside the field were surprised: "Instructor Napoleon actually covered for Chronos?"

The whole academy knows that these two are like fire and water, and seeing them actually covering for each other is really a bit uncomfortable.

Including Chronos, who obviously thought so too.

"You, Instructor Napoleon..." Chronos was moved, "You actually covered for me..."

Instructor Napoleon rolled his eyes at him, then put his hands on his hips arrogantly.

"Don't misunderstand, I don't mean to resolve the conflict with you, Chronos-pro-tem."

Saying that, his expression was solemn.

"It's just that this duel is of great importance and determines our future. And this opponent is extraordinary, and neither of us can have any chance of winning alone..."

Chronos bit his handkerchief and nodded after a long while.

"Hmm, what you said makes sense, none."

To win this one, they had to do things they had almost never thought of in the past.

Work together!

Marufuji Sho: "Seeing these two people cooperate is really a bit strange..."

"Indeed." Manjoume nodded.

Judai smiled: "I actually think this might be Fujiki You Xuan's purpose."

"Eh?" Marufuji Sho was stunned.

Misawa, who appeared at some point and had no sense of presence, suddenly spoke: "People only naturally resolve conflicts and fight side by side when their interests are consistent and they face a common external threat."

"Oh... so that's it."

Marufuji Sho understood.

"Could it be that Fujiki You Xuan did this to let the two professors bury the hatchet..."

The eyes of the crowd looking at Fujiki You Xuan suddenly became a bit more admiring.

Not only does he have unfathomable strength, but he also considers others to this extent. Is this the bearing of a King?

"It's not over yet." Napoleon continued, "Activate face-down card, Continuous Trap 'Gulliver Chain'!

This card can only be activated when a monster changes its battle position! As long as this card exists on the field, that monster that changed its battle position can only maintain face-up Defense Position.

If that monster is changed to Attack Position, then destroy that monster and this card!" (Original card)

Silver-white chains flew out from the trap card, tying up the Victory Worm that had just been forced to change to defense on Fujiki You Xuan's field. The chains bound the Worm's huge body tightly, unable to move even a bit.

"Great!" Chronos praised, "This way, the attack of the 12,000-attack Worm is completely blocked, none!"

"Indeed."

Fujiki You Xuan also nodded in approval.

"However, my attack here hasn't ended yet." Fujiki You Xuan said, "My Agon and Xex Worms haven't attacked yet."

He turned his spearhead, this time locking onto Napoleon's field.

"Worm Xex, attack 'Toy Soldier'."

【Worm Xex, Attack 1800】

Worm Xex flew out, and the whole thing pounced on the Toy Soldier like a starfish. The small soldier struggled hard, but it was naturally meaningless, and was soon sucked dry by the starfish's mouthparts, exploding into pieces with a bang.

【Napoleon, LP 4000 -> LP 3000】

"Worm Agon, attack the second 'Toy Soldier'."

【Worm Agon, Attack 1000】

The second Toy Soldier also exploded, and Instructor Napoleon's small body retreated two steps under the impact.

【Napoleon, LP 3000 -> LP 2800】

"Instructor Napoleon!"

Chronos saw that Napoleon had actually suffered damage to cover for him, and his expression couldn't help but be even more moved, his eyes even a little red. "Small problem."

Napoleon stood up and gritted his teeth.

"Well, although we managed to defend this turn, it still looks tough."

Fujiki You Xuan hugged his arms and smiled.

"Set two cards, turn end."

It was Chronos's turn again, but he didn't draw a card, but looked down at the deck on his Duel Disk in a daze.

"Can we really... win?"

Instructor Napoleon was also silent, not speaking.

They actually both knew that even if they were called students, the opponent's strength was far above their own. Now it seems that even if they were two against one, it didn't seem to have narrowed the gap much.

But just at this time, Judai on the side spoke: "Teachers, don't give up!"

Both professors instinctively raised their heads and looked at Judai.

"You don't know what will happen until the last moment of the duel, right?"

Judai shouted.

"Never give up until the very last moment; isn't this exactly what you teachers taught us in class? Even the legendary Mr. Yugi Mutou had duels where he persisted in a desperate situation until the last moment before a turning point, right?"

Judai clenched his fists to cheer them on.

"Let us see that there is no impossible challenge in this world, teacher!"

"Student Judai..."

Chronos closed his eyes gently and revealed a helpless smile.

"Really, the last thing I want is... to be educated by a poor student. But you're right."

He regained his spirit and raised his head.

"If we give up here, wouldn't all the time we spent in this academy be in vain?"

Napoleon also said: "Encouraged by a poor student, it seems I have to cheer up."

"That is my student." Chronos's tone even carried a bit of pride.

Fujiki You Xuan smiled: "Oh, it seems the teachers still have the strength to continue."

"That's for sure!"

Napoleon held his head high and faced Fujiki You Xuan.

"As a man, sometimes you can't retreat even if you know the odds are slim!"

"Exactly!"

Chronos also reignited his fighting spirit.

"Even if it's just to let the students see, this is our last battle as teachers in this academy!"

Judai nodded: "That's the spirit, teacher!"

Marufuji Sho whispered: "Although it seems a bit ignited, this atmosphere of being ready to die, doesn't it make Student Fujiki You Xuan feel more like a Great Demon King..."

"My turn, draw, none!"

Professor Chronos drew a card.

"Activate Spell Card 'Graceful Charity', draw three cards from the deck, then discard two cards from my hand."

Chronos discarded two cards, then played another card from his hand.

"Spell Card 'Foolish Burial', send a monster card from the deck to the Graveyard, none!

I send this card 'Ancient Gear Golem' from the deck to the Graveyard!"

Marufuji Sho: "Sending his own trump card to the Graveyard?"

"Exactly!" Chronos shouted, "What's coming next is the trump card of my trump cards, the ultimate mystery of Ancient Gear!"
