Chapter 641: Yubel's Love

A Dimensional Fissure caused Yubel's emotions, which had just calmed down a little when the fight started, to fluctuate violently again.

It wasn't just about one Lotus of the Sacrificial Altar; this card basically equaled sealing the existence of both sides' graveyards, causing a huge impact on Yubel's original tactical concept, and she had to reconsider her tactical deployment.

"Next, I normal summon 'Survivor from a Different Dimension'."

Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan summoned another monster to the field. This time it was a warrior wrapped in a cloak for the most part, who traveled between different dimensional rifts all year round and had rich experience in dimensional travel.

【Survivor from a Different Dimension, ATK 1800】

"Survivor from a Different Dimension, attack 'Lotus of the Sacrificial Altar'."

The survivor from a different dimension flicked his cloak, kicked his feet, and rushed out as a residual image. He threw a punch with an air wave that pierced the air, smashing fiercely onto the lotus blooming on the ground.

The lotus with no combat power of course couldn't block this heavy punch; both the flower and leaves were almost smashed into the ground, exploding with a boom.

"Activate set card," Yubel said, "Trap card 'Demon World Phoenix Flower Seed'.

Activate when a face-up Attack Position monster on your field is destroyed by battle. For every 1000 points of battle damage that would have been taken, negate that 1000 points of damage, and special summon a 'Demon World Phoenix Flower Token' on your field." (Original effect)

This card also exists in the real card game, but the real card game cannot negate battle damage and can only special summon tokens based on the damage taken. However, in the anime, it took 1000 damage to convert into one token, while the real card game only needed 500 damage to summon one.

"The attack of the Survivor from a Different Dimension caused me a total of 1800 battle damage."

Yubel said.

"Therefore, 'Demon World Phoenix Flower Seed' can help me negate 1000 battle damage and special summon a 'Demon World Phoenix Flower Token' on the field."

【Yubel, LP 4000 -> LP 3200】

The impact energy blocked by the trap was absorbed, then turned into a flower seed and scattered to the ground, blooming a transparent ripple on the ground, disappearing into the ground as if sinking to the bottom of the water.

A moment later, where the seed sank, roots quickly grew, and the spreading roots quickly twisted, turning into a plant that landed crookedly on Yubel's field.

【Demon World Phoenix Flower Token, DEF 0】

"A trap that converts damage into monsters," Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan said.

"Exactly," Yubel said, "If I learned anything in the past ten years, it's growing from pain."

Speaking of this, her heterochromatic eyes became blurred, and she said somewhat obsessively.

"At first I was very puzzled. All that pain, all that torture, I asked myself over and over, why?

Why did Judai, whom I love and who also loves me, make me experience these things?

But later I finally understood."

Cold and dangerous light flashed in her eyes.

"Pain is the expression of love. Precisely because of pain, I can become stronger.

The essence of love lies in sharing, sharing happiness, and also sharing pain. Sharing the pain I have realized with Judai is the expression of love!"

Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan: "..."

He wasn't sure if it was because the torture in the universe for many years had finally made her mentally deranged, or if the influence of the Light of Destruction had twisted her mind. But judging from the results, it seemed she was crazy...

"And you, you hindered my sharing, hindered the transmission of love between me and Judai," Yubel's gaze became increasingly dangerous.

"You are an obstacle that must be eliminated!

My turn, draw card!"

Yubel showed another Spell card.

"Activate Spell card 'Fiend's Sanctuary'! Special summon a Metal Fiend Token on my field!"

A puppet composed of countless silver metal balls appeared on Yubel's field, with a transparent magic barrier beneath it.

【Metal Fiend Token, ATK 0】

"Next, activate Continuous Spell 'Treasury of the Underworld'."

"Then I offer the 'Metal Fiend Token' and 'Demon World Phoenix Flower Token', two tokens, as offerings, Tribute Summon!

The seeds of the Demon World will bloom into demon flowers, bloom—

—Split Demon World Rose!"

The two tokens disappeared, and a larger plant grew rapidly on the field. Thorns covered the emerald vines, and the bright petals seemed to be soaked in blood; when blooming, it was like a bloody mouth, ready to eat people.

【Split Demon World Rose, ATK 0】

Read every word without error!

"The effect of Treasury of the Underworld, when two or more offerings are used for a Tribute Summon, I draw two cards from the deck."

Yubel drew two cards.

Seven stars, needing two offerings but with only 0 ATK, it looked like a type with special skills.

"The monster effect of Split Demon World Rose," Yubel said lightly, "When this card exists face-up in Attack Position on the field and battles an opponent's monster, it can copy the opponent's monster's ATK and become the same value." (Original effect)

"I see," Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan said, "A type of effect that can perish together no matter how strong the opponent is?"

But if it was only to this extent, it seemed not as good as "Imitation Illusionist".

Imitation Illusionist was only a 1-star monster, but it also had the ability to copy the opponent's monster's ATK. The difference was that Imitation Illusionist could only select a monster to copy when it was summoned, and after that, the ATK would not change again. And this rose would copy the same value as the opponent whenever a battle occurred.

"Not only that," Yubel continued, "When Split Demon World Rose is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, it can leave two 'Demon World Rose Tokens' on its field."

After a pause, she glanced at the pitch-black rift on Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan's field with disgust and snorted coldly.

"However, although I say so, but with 'Dimensional Fissure' here, even if it is destroyed by battle, it cannot be sent to the graveyard at all, so this effect naturally cannot be triggered."

Speaking of this, she immediately felt that the Dimensional Fissure looked even more annoying.

"Then since it definitely cannot be easily destroyed," Yubel said coldly, "Activate Continuous Spell 'Chivalry Spirit'.

As long as this Spell is on the field, monsters on your field will not be destroyed by battle when battling monsters with the same ATK."

The Spell was activated, and the Demon World Rose was immediately covered with a transparent energy barrier, as if releasing a translucent, flickering fighting spirit.

Chivalry Spirit, although it looked like a meaningless Spell normally, its power immediately upgraded a lot when combined with this Demon World Rose. The Demon World Rose could always copy the opponent's ATK during battle, and it could not be destroyed by battle at the same value; except for being unable to give the opponent battle damage, it was almost equivalent to gaining infinite ATK!

"Battle!" Yubel said, "Use 'Split Demon World Rose', attack 'Survivor from a Different Dimension'!"
