Chapter 645

"Gladiator Beast Augustus, summon!"

A Gladiator Beast with a dark body and the name of an ancient king, accompanied by a dark storm when it descended. The pitch-black armor seemed to have been tempered on an ancient battlefield, and the black wide wings had the sharp claws of a bird-beast.

【Gladiator Beast Augustus, ATK 2600】

Yubel's face sank.

Special Summoning from the deck after battle... So this was the real purpose of the battle just now?

However, knowing that she, Yubel, could not be destroyed by battle and would reflect battle damage, yet still insisting on summoning such a high-level monster...

There must be a problem.

"The effect of Gladiator Beast Augustus: when this card is successfully Special Summoned by a 'Gladiator Beast' effect, Special Summon a 'Gladiator Beast' from your hand in Defense Position."

Fujiki You Xuan played another card from his hand.

"Special Summon 'Gladiator Beast Fish' from my hand!"

A Fish-type Gladiator warrior, also one of the most frequently appearing low-level Gladiator Beasts. A blue water vortex gushed out like a fountain, and the blue Gladiator warrior with a fish body flew onto the field, with two turbines spinning at full speed behind it.

【Gladiator Beast Fish, ATK 800】

"The effect of Fish: when this card is successfully summoned by a Gladiator Beast effect, destroy one face-up monster on the field," Fujiki You Xuan snapped his fingers. "Destroy 'Yubel'!"

The two turbines behind Fish spun, and a water column like a high-pressure water gun sprayed straight at Yubel's location!

Yubel saw this and suddenly understood, then showed a smile.

"So that's it. Indeed, I cannot be destroyed by battle, and battle damage will be reflected. But if you destroy it with an effect, you can solve it smoothly—is that what you're thinking?"

Yubel snorted, her smile growing wider.

"Then, can it really go so smoothly?"

Boom!

The water column sprayed Yubel in the face. The latter exploded on the spot, shattering into powder along with the water flow that shot into the sky like a waterfall.

But Yubel did not leave the field because of this.

The smoke and water flow dissipated, and in the place of the explosion, there was instead a larger silhouette.

At this time, Yubel had completely lost her human form, instead turning into some kind of demon dragon. She had two dragon heads, a long neck, a dark red single eye opened in the center of her chest, and her hands and feet were sharp claws like blades.

Yubel the Ultimate Nightmare, summon!

And with the descent of the Ultimate Nightmare, the momentum and pressure from Yubel's true form also surged!

"Yubel the Ultimate Nightmare can only descend when 'Yubel' on my field is destroyed by a card effect!"

At this time, even the voice of Yubel's narration changed. If it was a feminine voice before, now it seemed to have become a mix of male and female, heavy and strange.

【Yubel the Ultimate Nightmare, ATK 0】

"Ten years, a full ten years, the torture I experienced, the pain I experienced is beyond what you can imagine!" Yubel roared with that strange mixed voice. "But you think this is all? By comparison, those pains are irrelevant!

The true torture is the pain of not being needed, being abandoned, and being hated! And what that darkness transforms into is this ultimate demon form!"

Fujiki You Xuan supported his chin: "Well, it seems it hasn't been easy."

"Activate the Quick-Play Spell 'Burial from a Different Dimension'," Yubel said grimly. "Return up to three monsters banished from the game by both sides to the Graveyard.

I return 'Sacred Lotus' banished by you to the Graveyard." Fujiki You Xuan understood: "Is the goal still the combo of Sacred Lotus and Yubel?"

However, Fujiki You Xuan remembered that Yubel only needs to Tribute monsters to maintain her existence in her original form, and she shouldn't need to in her second stage. This point is consistent in both the anime and the physical cards.

Then her purpose is...

"Activate the Continuous Spell 'Nightmare Mirage'," Yubel said. "During the opponent's Standby Phase, I can draw cards from my deck until I have four cards in my hand."

"Next, Set three cards in the back row."

"During the End Phase, 'Sacred Lotus' in the Graveyard is Special Summoned back to the field," Yubel said.

The anime effect of Sacred Lotus doesn't affect the activation of the effect even if there are Spells/Traps in the back row; as long as it exists in the Graveyard during the End Phase, it can be revived to the field without any cost.

Of course, summoning with this effect must be in Attack Position. So if there is no special purpose, it is just leaving a target with 0 attack power on your own field.

【Sacred Lotus, ATK 0】

"And also during the End Phase, the effect of 'Yubel the Ultimate Nightmare' is also activated!" Yubel shouted. "Yubel the Ultimate Nightmare must destroy all other monsters on my field during the End Phase!

Then, based on the number of destroyed monsters, choose the corresponding number of monsters on the opponent's field to destroy!" (Original effect)

It is also different from the physical cards. The physical cards are not so complicated and not so flashy; the effect of the Ultimate Nightmare in the physical cards is just one simple sentence, "destroy all other monsters on the field."

Don't miss a single word of the content!

"Knight who is not needed, hated and abandoned, let's taste this pain together!"

The first to bear the brunt was Sacred Lotus. Sacred Lotus, which had just been revived to the field, was immediately drawn into the chaos vortex erupted by Yubel, and was ground into powder by the tyrannical energy.

"Correspondingly, I can also destroy one monster on the opponent's field."

Yubel narrowed her eyes and stretched out her claws to point at Augustus.

"Gladiator Beast Augustus, disappear!"

The same chaos vortex that destroyed Sacred Lotus also appeared under Augustus's feet, and the tyrannical energy erupted from under the bird-beast Gladiator!

"Activate my Set card," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Continuous Trap 'Dimensional Guardian'.

Choose one Attack Position monster on my field; this Trap can protect that monster from being destroyed by battle or by card effects."

Yubel's furious blow crashed onto Augustus, but it was completely blocked by the Trap's dimensional barrier, not even leaving a crack on the barrier.

"Damn it!" Yubel was furious. "Why? Why do you just refuse to die obediently!?"

"Sorry, people often say I'm very clingy."

Fujiki You Xuan acted helpless.

"And during this End Phase, 'Gladiator Beast Fish' Special Summoned by the effect of 'Gladiator Beast Augustus' must return to the deck."

The pair of water turbines behind Fish activated again, wrapping it in water, turning into a stream of water and flying back into Fujiki You Xuan's deck.

Yubel had a livid face, glared at Augustus for a moment, and then said heavily.

"Turn end."
