Chapter 647

"Final complete form, huh."

Fujiki You Xuan looked up at Yubel, who had already transformed into a behemoth.

Indeed, the momentum of Yubel in this form now was already much stronger than before, probably reaching the highest peak her current state could reach. The third stage "Ultimate Nightmare" was the ultimate form she transformed into after being affected by the light of destruction while in space.

But facing this giant monster, the corners of Fujiki You Xuan's mouth rose slightly again.

Yubel was angry: "What's so funny?"

"Nothing. It's just that the so-called ultimate means that while it is the final and strongest, it also means that your evolutionary path has reached the end."

Fujiki You Xuan shrugged.

"It only means that there is no way to go above this, or in other words..."

He narrowed his eyes.

"It's a dead end."

"What?"

Yubel felt that she had been looked down upon again.

It wasn't the first or second time during this duel. It was fine before, but now, seeing her final form, this terrifying posture with monstrous energy, he still had such a reaction, how could she not be filled with anger?

"Don't agree? Fine, then let me prove it to you with facts."

Fujiki You Xuan slapped another monster card down from his hand.

"Normal summon 'Gladiator Beast Samnite'."

Flames churned on the field, and the image of a tiger soon transformed in the flames. The ferocious tiger warrior was bathed in fire and landed on the field.

【Gladiator Beast Samnite, ATK 1800】

Then Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand and gave instructions to the Gladiator Beasts on the field again.

"'Gladiator Beast Augustus', 'Gladiator Beast Samnite', 'Gladiator Beast Fish', these three Gladiator Beasts on the field return to the deck, triple contact fusion!"

Yubel: "Actually triple contact fusion!?"

"The fusion condition is 'Gladiator Beast Augustus' plus any two Gladiator Beast monsters."

Under Fujiki You Xuan's command, the Gladiator Beasts on the field had taken Augustus as the core and turned into three beams of light. The three beams of light merged into one, piercing a vortex in the air that seemed to lead to ancient Rome. The storm of time and space erupted from it, and the soul of the ancient king seemed to have stepped through a thousand years of time and descended onto the field.

【Gladiator Beast Gyzarus, ATK 1000】

Yubel suppressed the unease in her heart: "Going to such trouble, the fusion only has 1000 attack power..."

"Is that really so?" Fujiki You Xuan brushed a wave of style points.

"Nani?"

"The effect of Gladiator Beast Gyzarus!" Fujiki You Xuan said. "When Gyzarus is successfully Special Summoned, Special Summon any Gladiator Beast Fusion monster other than 'Gladiator Beast Gyzarus' from the Fusion Deck, ignoring the summoning conditions!"

The area where Fujiki You Xuan's duel disk stored the Fusion Deck automatically popped open, and a card was popped into his hand. The card released a green storm, and the Gladiator king descended with the illustrious name that resounded through the ancient battlefield!

Gladiator Beast Heraklinos, summon!

【Gladiator Beast Heraklinos, ATK 2400】

"When Gladiator Beast Heraklinos is successfully Special Summoned, the monster effect is activated," Fujiki You Xuan said. "You can destroy up to two cards on the field!"

Yubel: "!"

Can still continue to destroy?

In an instant, Yubel understood what the so-called ultimate, and also the end, meant.

He was right.

Yubel the Ultimate Nightmare, this posture is Yubel's final form, and also the last form. It's like a boss with low health going berserk, entering the final stage. This stage is the strongest and fiercest, but it also means this is its last life.

No more health protection, no death-exemption gold medal. Being finished off this time means true destruction. "Gladiator Beast Heraklinos."

When giving this instruction, Fujiki You Xuan sounded almost like a reaper of judgment.

"Destroy 'Yubel the Ultimate Nightmare', and the Set card in the back row."

Of course, he knew that there was an 80% chance that one of the back row was "Very Hungry", and even if it was to be destroyed, it could be chained. But whether it hits that card depends on luck.

Yubel said coldly: "Chain activation of Set card, Trap card 'Threatening Roar'!

Within this turn after this card is activated, monsters will not be destroyed by battle, and battle damage received will become 0."

The Trap card started at the critical moment before Heraklinos's steel wings pierced, and a nun holding an amulet appeared on the field, closing her eyes and chanting spells, applying the final protective barrier to Yubel's field.

"Chain activation of another Set card, Trap card 'Blessing of the Holy Elf'. Recover life points equal to the number of monsters on the field x 300.

Now there are Heraklinos, Gyzarus, and the Ultimate Nightmare on the field, so a total of 900 points are recovered!"

"Activate another Set card," Yubel shouted. "Quick-Play Spell 'Very Hungry'!

By sending Spells and Traps on my field to the Graveyard, recover 1000 life points for each card."

She pulled out several Spells and Traps from the back row in one breath.

Don't miss a single word of the content!

"Send the Continuous Spells 'Nightmare Mirage', 'Treasures of the Underworld', the 'Threatening Roar' currently being activated, and 'Blessing of the Holy Elf', a total of four cards to the Graveyard, recovering a total of 4900 life points!"

Three back row cards disappeared together, merging into Yubel's body, instantly recovering a large amount of health.

【Yubel, LP 4800 → LP 9700】

"Life points 9700," Fujiki You Xuan supported his chin. "How terrifying."

The onlooker Qianjin said leisurely: "I think the master who can say this without any emotion is even more terrifying."

Silence, who had been holding a staff and guarding on the side, didn't speak, but nodded in agreement.

Although they had seen many great demon heads during their time following Fujiki You Xuan, it felt like they had never seen anyone more terrifying than the master...

Look, another demon head on the opposite side who returned from training outside the territory feels like he's not far from breaking down.

However, although the Trap card itself had disappeared from the field, the effect had already been activated. The barrier of Threatening Roar protected Yubel's field, and even though her field now seemed empty, it was actually as solid as a rock.

But Fujiki You Xuan didn't care about that.

"Then, first is 'Gladiator Beast Heraklinos'," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Direct attack on Yubel."

Yubel was startled: "Attacking even though knowing it's meaningless?"

But she immediately understood.

No, it's not meaningless.

This guy's Gladiator Beasts... this deck itself is a type that triggers abilities through battle. Even if Threatening Roar can negate battle damage, it cannot negate the fact that the battle is established.

Heraklinos spread its wings and rose into the air, and another transparent storm wrapped in steel feathers scattered out. Of course, the dense steel feathers all bombarded the barrier in front of Yubel, exploding ripples, without any effect.

But Fujiki You Xuan didn't mind, just continued: "Then next is 'Gladiator Beast Gyzarus', direct attack on Yubel."

Gyzarus followed suit, also rushing towards Yubel. Of course, the attack was also blocked by the barrier of Threatening Roar, failing to deal any output.

But Fujiki You Xuan's goal had been achieved.

"At the end of the Battle Phase, the effects of 'Gladiator Beast Heraklinos' and 'Gladiator Beast Gyzarus' that have battled this turn are triggered."

Fujiki You Xuan said.

"Heraklinos, which has battled, returns to the deck, and Special Summons two Gladiator Beasts other than 'Gladiator Beast Samnite' from the deck.

Gyzarus, which has battled, returns to the deck, and can also Special Summon two 'Gladiator Beasts' from the deck."

Two Gladiator Beasts turned into two beams of golden light, both returning from the field, turning into two cards and returning to Fujiki You Xuan's hand. Fujiki You Xuan inserted them into the duel disk, and the duel disk automatically stored them back into the storage area of the Fusion Deck.

"Therefore, I Special Summon four Gladiator Beasts from the deck!"
