Chapter 648

"Special Summon four Gladiator Beasts from the deck."

Fujiki You Xuan slapped four cards down in one breath.

"The effect of 'Gladiator Beast Gyzarus', Special Summon these two Gladiator Beasts.

Gladiator Beast Samnite! Gladiator Beast Retiari!"

【Gladiator Beast Samnite, ATK 1600】

【Gladiator Beast Retiari, ATK 1200】

"The effect of 'Gladiator Beast Heraklinos', Special Summon these two.

Gladiator Beast Augustus! Gladiator Beast Equeste!"

【Gladiator Beast Augustus, ATK 2600】

【Gladiator Beast Equeste, ATK 1600】

"The effect of Gladiator Beast Retiari," Fujiki You Xuan said. "When summoned by a Gladiator Beast effect, you can banish one card from the opponent's Graveyard.

The one I want to banish is of course this one—"

Fujiki You Xuan pointed at Yubel's Graveyard with ill intent.

"Banish 'Yubel' from the game."

Yubel's pupils contracted.

Digging my grave again?

And this time, it's by name, digging the coffin of her true form...

"The Ultimate Nightmare and the Ultimate Nightmare, these two cards are limited to being Special Summoned by the effect of the previous stage of Yubel. In other words, even after a regular appearance, they cannot be revived from the Graveyard by other means."

Fujiki You Xuan said calmly.

"However, if it is through Yubel's effect, it can advance and appear whether it is in the deck or in the Graveyard."

The core of Yubel's deck is naturally herself. So it is not difficult to infer that her primary goal next should be to pull her first stage back from the Graveyard, and then she can transform into the second and third stages again.

But if her true form is kicked out of the game, all of this is out of the question.

"Set two cards, turn end," Fujiki You Xuan.

Yubel pondered.

Four Gladiator Beasts again...

Constantly switching to new Gladiator Beasts after battle, and each wave has a terrifying card-destroying ability that seems to push everything.

Even Yubel has to admit that it's very strong now.

Perhaps this is really an opponent she cannot deal with in her current state of resurrection.

Perhaps, this will really be her last battle.

Yubel lowered her head, looking at the duel disk extending from her hand, and the deck on the duel disk, silent for a long time.

"Sorry, Yugi," she said softly suddenly. "I might have to break my promise, I can't... return to your side."

This time, she might really not be able to win.

But even so...

She raised her head, the fire in her heterochromatic eyes still burning.

"Oh?" Fujiki You Xuan said. "Still haven't given up?"

"Give up? Stop joking."

Yubel snorted.

"Do you know how much pain I went through to return to this planet? Compared to all that, what is this level of trouble!?"

Yes, she had already decided. For Yugi, she could do anything, and she could give everything.

The duel wasn't over yet, and she wasn't at the end of her rope yet.

"My turn, draw!"

Yubel was still struggling, she could still fight.

"Activate the Spell card 'Allure of Darkness'!

Draw two cards from the deck, then banish one Dark-attribute monster from your hand. If there is no Dark-attribute in your hand, send all cards in your hand to the Graveyard!"

Yubel drew two cards, then threw a monster card into the air. The card was sucked into the dimensional vortex and disappeared.

"Next is the Spell card 'Pot of Avarice'!" Yubel shouted. "Choose three monsters from the banished cards, return those three monsters to the deck and shuffle, then draw one card from the deck!

I return the banished 'Yubel', 'Split Demon World Rose', and the Dark-attribute monster I just banished to the deck and shuffle, then draw a card!"

Fujiki You Xuan: "Oh? In this way, you've barely recovered your true form?"

Then he narrowed his eyes: "And then, you want to draw it back with this one draw?"

Well, considering it's the spirit true form playing cards, it's not strange to have this level of bond...

"Not needed!"

Yubel said coldly.

"Normal summon 'Mystic Tomato'!"

【Mystic Tomato, ATK 1400】

Fujiki You Xuan understood.

Oh, there's this move too.

"Battle!" Yubel said. "Mystic Tomato, attack 'Gladiator Beast Samnite'!"

Mystic Tomato launched a suicide attack, naturally pierced by Samnite in one blow, exploding and leaving the field.

【Yubel, LP 9700 → LP 9500】

"The effect of Mystic Tomato: when destroyed by battle, Special Summon a Dark-attribute monster with 1500 or less attack power from the deck in Attack Position."

Saying that, she paused, and grinned.

"And I myself am a Dark-attribute with 1500 or less attack power! Return to the field, my clone—

—Yubel!!!"

The dragon's bone wings unfolded again, the demon body with bisexual characteristics, but the whole body seemed to be covered in scars, the eyes revealing loneliness and sorrow, but also the determination to face fate.

【Yubel, ATK 0】

"Yubel, attack 'Gladiator Beast Augustus'!"

Yubel's eyes were red, and she bewitched the Gladiator warrior to attack.

This time, Yubel finally succeeded. Augustus couldn't help but roar, the great sword slashed out, slamming fiercely into Yubel. The impact was completely absorbed by the coiling vines, then reflected back, crashing into Fujiki You Xuan himself.

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 4700 → LP 2100】

Succeeded!

Yubel's excitement was hard to suppress.

Finally, at the very end, she managed to land a hit.

It turns out this person isn't as invincible as he looks, and his life points aren't really unshakable.

There's still a chance!

"Not giving up even at this point, your determination is quite good." Fujiki You Xuan patted the dust off his body.

"Nonsense," Yubel said coldly. "I said, anyone who blocks me and Yugi must be destroyed."

Dangerous light lit up in her eyes again.

"Even if the price to be paid for this is myself."

Fujiki You Xuan: "Very good, very good, that's the momentum."

Yubel looked at him inexplicably, snorted coldly: "During the End Phase, 'Sacred Lotus' in the Graveyard is Special Summoned."

【Sacred Lotus, ATK 0】

"If Yubel doesn't Tribute a monster during the End Phase, she must be destroyed," Yubel said. "I Tribute Sacred Lotus, turn end."

She suddenly remembered something, frowned and said: "Your Gladiator Beast battled this turn, don't you intend to return to the deck?"

Fujiki You Xuan slapped his forehead: "Oh my, look at my memory. I completely forgot..."

Yubel looked at him expressionlessly.

"Ahahaha, fine, it seems you don't quite believe it," Fujiki You Xuan laughed. "In fact, it's because it's no longer necessary."

"What?" Yubel frowned. "My turn, draw," Fujiki You Xuan said lightly. "I've already seen your determination, and I've seen enough. Then now, let's bring the duel to a close.

I summon 'Spartan Occultist'."

【Spartan Occultist, ATK 400】

Yubel frowned.

What is this thing again?

"Next, battle."

Fujiki You Xuan said in a light tone.

"'Gladiator Beast Augustus', attack 'Yubel'."

"Nani!?"

Yubel was shocked.

Attacking even though knowing she has reflection ability...

She gritted her teeth, feeling that something was wrong, but she had no other choice, so she could only shout.

Don't miss a single word of the content!

"Since you're looking for death, I'll fulfill your wish... Yubel, counterattack!"

Naturally, Augustus's sword had no effect on Yubel, and the impact of the blade was reflected back by the thorny vines.

"But when the attack was declared, my Trap had already been activated."

Yubel: "!"

Activating a Trap when declaring an attack?

"Trap card 'Natural Reflection'," Fujiki You Xuan said lightly. "During this turn, all effect damage dealt to me by the opponent is reflected back to the opponent."

Yubel's pupils contracted.

Her own effect is that battle damage received by this card becomes 0, and she deals damage to the opponent equal to the amount of damage negated.

It definitely belongs to the "deal damage to the opponent" type of effect.

And all effect damage is reflected this turn, doesn't that mean...

"Not bad, Augustus's attack power is 2600. Therefore, Yubel reflects 2600 damage to me," Fujiki You Xuan smiled, "and then it's reflected back to you by the effect of 'Natural Reflection'."

So Yubel was smeared in the face by her own reflection damage.

"Ughhh—"

【Yubel, LP 9500 → LP 6900】

Yubel gasped violently, gritting her teeth: "You, you, you..."

"Gladiator Beast Retiari, attack Yubel."

【Gladiator Beast Retiari, ATK 1200】

Then Natural Reflection reflected Yubel's reflection again, and another reflection damage smeared Yubel's face.

"Argh!"

【Yubel, LP 6900 → LP 5700】

Yubel: "Damn... thing..."

"Thanks for the compliment," Fujiki You Xuan was polite. "Gladiator Beast Samnite, attack 'Yubel'."

【Gladiator Beast Samnite, ATK 1600】

Yubel: "Ahhhhh—"

【Yubel, LP 5700 → LP 4100】

She knelt on one knee, her eyes already somewhat unfocused.

Still... not over yet?

"Spartan Occultist, attack Yubel."

【Spartan Occultist, ATK 400】

【Yubel, LP 4100 → LP 3700】

"'Gladiator Beast Equeste', attack Yubel."

【Gladiator Beast Equeste, ATK 1600】

【Yubel, LP 3700 → LP 2100】

Five big men took turns pressing Yubel to the ground to rub, even if she endured this fatal five-hit combo, her physical strength and spirit seemed to be on the verge of the limit.

She knelt on one knee, struggling to grit her teeth and support herself.

"Still... not over."

Her life points were still left, she could still fight.

Promised, to see Yugi again.

Two people, to be... together... again.

"The monster effect of Gladiator Beast Equeste."

The cold voice on the opposite side seemed to come from the depths of hell, the tone was clearly gentle, but it sounded like a demon king's whisper.

"Equeste, Special Summoned by a Gladiator Beast monster effect, can attack twice per turn."

Yubel's lips couldn't help but tremble.

Still... more?

"Gladiator Beast Equeste," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Once again, attack Yubel."

Six-hit combo!

"Ahhhhh—"

【Yubel, LP 2100 → LP 500】

What an irony. Yubel, who uses underworld reflection as her most common means and doesn't know how many people she has reflected to death, would be tossed to this point by her own reflection.

Instantly losing more than 9000 life points, she could almost no longer stand firm.

But her gaze was still persistent.

"Not over yet."

"Your perseverance is admirable. Well, but it's actually over, you just haven't realized it yet," Fujiki You Xuan said lightly.

Yubel was stunned.

What?

"The effect of Spartan Occultist: while this card is on the field, every time a monster is Special Summoned from the deck, deal 500 damage to the opponent."

Yubel froze instantly.

The common effect of Gladiator Beasts is that after the battle ends, they can return to the deck, and then Special Summon new Gladiator Beasts from the deck...

"It seems you've realized it," Fujiki You Xuan smiled. "Not bad. Battle ends, all four Gladiator Beasts on my field return to the deck, and then four Gladiator Beasts are Special Summoned from the deck respectively.

Then let's calculate, how much damage do you still owe me?"

Yubel: "."

"I return all four Gladiator Beasts on the field to the deck."

Fujiki You Xuan was unhurried, stuffing the cards back into the duel disk. The deck automatically shuffled, and four cards popped out of the duel disk.

"Special Summon four new Gladiator Beasts from the deck. And at this moment, the effect of Spartan Occultist..."

Fujiki You Xuan narrowed his eyes.

"A total of 2000 points of additional damage."

Yubel didn't speak, only feeling a breath stuck in her chest, making her unable to speak.

For a long time, until the four new Gladiator Beasts landed, until the Occultist chanted the spell, wrapping the destructive energy and rushing towards him.

Yubel then slowly looked at the sky.

"Sorry Yugi."

She closed her eyes.

【Yubel, LP 500 → LP 0】
