Chapter 662: The Turn That Never Comes

The Evil God's effect had already been invalidated at this time, and even if it wasn't invalidated, it had to accept the magic effect for one turn.

However, the Wicked Avatar shrugged indifferently.

"Even if it becomes face-down, there is no difference. Once I am sent to the graveyard, the end of all things will still be activated."

Anyway, its defense power was 0 now, face-down or face-up was the same.

"Indeed. However, there is still a difference." Fujiki You Xuan smiled and reminded, "If it were in a face-up state, at the end of this turn, the god special summoned by the card's effect must be sent to the graveyard."

"But a face-down card cannot determine what it specifically is, so the effect will not be triggered until it is flipped over."

The Wicked Avatar was startled.

"That's true."

But he still didn't see what impact this had.

"Then activate this card..."

Fujiki You Xuan raised his hand.

"Magic card 'Final Countdown'!"

Wicked Avatar: "!?"

What the hell?

"Final Countdown must pay 2000 life points to activate."

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 2700 -> LP 700】

At the same time as the activation, the countdown fire had already appeared on the field. It was just a tiny little flame, looking so inconspicuous on this field, but it exuded an extremely eerie cold aura, like a ghost fire.

"After Final Countdown is activated, it starts counting down. After twenty turns," Fujiki You Xuan said, "the activator directly wins the game."

The Wicked Avatar was stunned, then laughed loudly.

Twenty turns?

Twenty turns were enough for a duel to end several times.

"You don't think you can really live to twenty turns in front of the Evil God, do you?" He mocked and laughed.

Fujiki You Xuan smiled and pointed to The World on his field.

"Originally, Arcana Force monsters need to rotate the card when summoned to decide whether to get the upright or reversed effect." Fujiki You Xuan said, "But when 'Light Barrier' exists on the field, Arcana Force monsters don't need to rotate the card, and I can freely choose the upright or reversed effect to apply."

"Of course, I choose the upright effect of The World."

He paused and clapped his hands.

"Alright, the preparation is complete. My turn ends."

"Just this?" The Wicked Avatar continued to mock, "With just this level, you wouldn't be delusional enough to live to twenty turns later, right?"

"The Evil God seems to have misunderstood something."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

Wicked Avatar: "Hmm?"

"You wouldn't think that after this Final Countdown starts counting down..." Fujiki You Xuan said faintly, "You can still wait for your own turn, right?"

Wicked Avatar: "?"

What?

He actually felt that this sentence was a bit incomprehensible.

However, it didn't matter if he didn't understand; Fujiki You Xuan immediately explained it to him with actions.

"At the end phase of the turn, the effect of 'Nekogal of Disturbance' discarded to the graveyard in the first turn, special summon it to your field at the end phase."

【Nekogal of Disturbance, ATK 0】

"Then at the end phase of the turn, 'Arcana Force XXI - The World', upright effect." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Offer two monsters on your field as tribute to skip the opponent's next turn!"

Wicked Avatar: "!!!"

Nani?

He finally widened his eyes and looked directly at this Arcana monster he didn't think much of before.

Did this monster of light power really have the ability to manipulate time?

"I offer 'Uria, Lord of Searing Flames' and 'Nekogal of Disturbance' as tribute, activate the effect of Arcana Force—"

"—Za Warudo (The World)!"

Time, stop!

The field was frozen, and even the powerful Evil God was covered on the field, unable to move as if pressed by the Five Finger Mountain.

It came to the Wicked Avatar's turn, but his time was frozen; he couldn't draw cards, couldn't operate, and could only watch the display on the Duel Disk go from draw to standby, then to main phase, battle phase, and finally turn end.

Oh, his time was frozen, but Fujiki You Xuan's wasn't. Another cluster of flames lit up at the Final Countdown spot, a second small fireball.

Because the number of turns moved forward by one, the countdown also increased by one fireball. When twenty fireballs were gathered, it was the time for the death sentence.

"Then it's my turn again, draw card." Fujiki You Xuan said, "At this moment, Final Countdown comes to the third turn."

He paused and pointed to the field.

"Field magic 'Light Barrier' needs to rotate the card position every turn, and get the effect according to the upright or reversed position."

"If it's upright, the current effect of the barrier can all be retained."

"If it appears reversed, the effect of this card becomes invalid until the next standby phase."

The Light Barrier card rotated and stopped at the reversed position.

"Actually reversed, huh." Fujiki You Xuan shrugged, "It seems my luck isn't very good... but it doesn't matter."

"This turn, the effect of field magic Light Barrier becomes invalid. If I summon a new Arcana Force to the field, I need to rotate the card to decide the upright or reversed effect."

(No content lost!)

"But 'The World' is a monster that has already been summoned in the previous turn, and has long since gained the upright effect, so it is not affected."

The Wicked Avatar curled his lips.

Light Barrier would rotate the card position once every standby phase, randomly getting the upright or reversed effect. But within the turn this card was activated, there was no need to rotate the card for the field effect to take effect.

Fujiki You Xuan used exactly this point to freely choose The World to get the upright effect.

"Then I normal summon this card..."

Fujiki You Xuan played the monster card in his hand slowly.

The moment this card was summoned to the field.

The Wicked Avatar immediately realized what he was facing.

"I summon 'Killer Snake'."

【Killer Snake, ATK 300】

Killer Snake?

The Wicked Avatar was startled.

He remembered that the effect of this thing seemed to be that if it existed in the graveyard during the standby phase, it could actively return to the holder's hand. It was a monster that could infinitely salvage itself...

Wait.

This guy's graveyard also had Nekogal of Disturbance that could infinitely scam back at the end of the turn.

Doesn't that mean...

"At the end phase of the turn, Nekogal of Disturbance in the graveyard revives to the field."

【Nekogal of Disturbance, ATK 0】

"Activate the effect of 'Arcana Force XXI - The World', at the end phase of your turn, send 'Nekogal of Disturbance' and 'Killer Snake' on the field to the graveyard, skip the opponent's next turn!"

"Za Warudo!"

Time solidified again, and the Wicked Avatar's turn was frozen again. He could only watch the number of turns move forward, as if his consciousness was retained in the frozen time, unable to act but able to see death approaching bit by bit.

"It's my turn again, draw card."

Fujiki You Xuan said.

"Standby phase, the effect of 'Killer Snake' in the graveyard, this card can return to my hand."

"Then I normal summon 'Killer Snake'."

"At the end phase of the turn, special summon 'Nekogal of Disturbance' from the graveyard."

"The effect of Arcana Force XXI - The World, Za Warudo!"

"Skip your turn again, and then the number of turns for 'Final Countdown' increases by 2."

"."

The Wicked Avatar's face twitched, his expression ugly.

He never expected that the other party really wasn't joking.

From the moment Final Countdown started counting down.

He really... could never wait for his own turn again.
