Chapter 724: Power of Erasure

"Stratos's attack!"

Stratos rose with the wind, the two turbines behind him started simultaneously, and the person flew forward like a launched rocket. He punched forward with his right fist, slamming straight into the face-down card.

The face-down card flipped over, revealing the image of a small frog with a halo on its head. The frog flapped its white wings twice, let out a scream, and then exploded with a bang.

【Swap Frog, DEF 100】

"Swap Frog?"

Jaden was surprised. He was no stranger to this monster, after all, Fujiki You Xuan often used it before.

"Isn't this Fujiki You Xuan's..."

The Wicked God sneered: "My Deck draws power from more than one world, and has possibilities beyond your imagination."

Jaden frowned: "Yubel, what is he talking about?"

"Who knows, bluffing." Yubel said.

Jaden pondered, it wasn't impossible. Although Swap Frog was often used by Fujiki You Xuan, it couldn't be considered a rare card. It wasn't strange for it to appear in someone else's hands.

"But in this way, your field has become empty." Jaden said, "Elemental HERO Absolute Zero, direct attack!"

Jaden gave the attack order, and Absolute Zero's Hero cloak had already risen without wind. Invisible cold air froze the entire field, as if freezing the air into sharp ice daggers.

Absolute Zero waved his arms across the air, as if conveying an unquestionable will, and the daggers immediately became like arrows piercing the air.

And at this moment, the Wicked God sneered.

"Although it possesses some special power, it's really a predictable guy." The Wicked God said, "Such a simple attack is exactly as expected...

Activate face-down card!

Trap Card - Back to the Front!"

Jaden: "!"

It's this Trap again. He had seen it when he dueled the Wicked God-possessed Yubel before. And considering the opponent's identity, the monster to be revived should probably be...

"Back to the Front, can Special Summon a monster from your Graveyard in Defense Position." The Wicked God said, "Last turn, through 'Takeover5', I sent five cards to the Graveyard..."

Jaden said solemnly: "Wicked God...?"

"That's right." The Wicked God shouted, "Summon myself from the Graveyard!

The God of Destruction who devours heaven and earth, erases all things, and returns everything to nothingness—

—Wicked God - Eraser, descend!!!"

Boundless darkness gathered on the field like a pitch-black ocean. Space seemed to crack, cracks spread to the surroundings, like the hideous wounds of a giant beast, devouring all vitality. That was the aura of erasure that could wither all things, descending with the will of destruction.

【Wicked God - Eraser, DEF?】

"Eraser is summoned in Defense Position." The Wicked God said, "And, Wicked God - Eraser's DEF and ATK are the same, both determined by the number of cards on the opponent's field."

Jaden said in a deep voice: "The number of cards on my field is now three..."

Elemental HERO Absolute Zero, Stratos, and Liquid Soldier.

"Hehe, not bad, so now my DEF is 3000."

【Wicked God - Eraser, DEF? → DEF 3000】

DEF 3000, equivalent to Absolute Zero's ATK at this moment. When the ATK of the attacking monster is the same as the DEF of the defensive monster, even battle has no meaning. The opponent will not take damage, and neither will oneself.

But Jaden knew clearly what the biggest problem was next. "Eraser is a god with the ability to erase all things." Yubel also said solemnly, "The god returns to the Graveyard at the end of the turn it is Special Summoned.

And when Eraser is sent to the Graveyard, all other cards on the field must be sent to the Graveyard together."

Jaden nodded: "I know."

And now it is Jaden's turn, which has become an extremely unfavorable situation for them. No matter what he did this turn, Eraser would completely clear everything he left on the field. Monsters would all be sent to the Graveyard, and even setting cards in the back row would be meaningless, because set cards would also have to be sent to the Graveyard.

That is to say, he must face the opponent's next turn in an empty field state, which is almost a death sentence for a duel between masters.

Yubel said: "The situation is not very good, Jaden."

Jaden nodded: "I know, then I won't do anything now, turn end directly."

"End Phase, 'Wicked God - Eraser' Special Summoned by card effect returns to the Graveyard." The Wicked God said, "And when Eraser is sent to the Graveyard, all cards on the field must be sent to the Graveyard together!"

The Wicked God's roar, transparent sound waves exploded on the field. The Wicked God's body disintegrated, turning into a pitch-black mud pool. The Elemental HEROes on Jaden's field were all dragged into that mud pool and disappeared into nothingness.

Among them, Absolute Zero was dragged into it, letting out a final shout before dying, exploding with a strong ice whirlwind. The ice crystals froze the entire field, turning the entire field into a clear and transparent ice domain. It's just that the domain was also fleeting and soon dissipated in the Wicked God's darkness.

The Wicked God's eyes flickered: "I see, it's actually a Hero with the same type of ability as me."

!

But then he smiled again, snorted coldly and said: "Heh, but it's still far from the original."

Absolute Zero can destroy all monsters on the opponent's field when leaving the field, which is indeed the same type of ability as Eraser. But Eraser is undoubtedly more overbearing. Eraser is not limited to monsters, but devours all cards, and does not distinguish between friend and foe.

The Wicked God said: "In this way, your field is empty. Although it is a short duel, it seems that it might end next turn."

Jaden said: "My turn hasn't ended completely yet.

In the End Phase, I can still activate a Quick-Play Spell."

Jaden played a card from his hand.

"Quick-Play Spell 'Quick Summon'! By the effect of this card, I can add one additional Normal Summon opportunity for a monster from my hand, in addition to the normal Normal Summon!" (Original card)

Jaden played a card from his hand.

"I summon 'Elemental HERO Clayman' from my hand in Defense Position!"

The Hero card appeared horizontally on the field, the sturdy Clay Hero took a squatting defensive posture, arms crossed in defense on the field.

【Elemental HERO Clayman, DEF 2000】

"I see, summoning a monster as a wall in the End Phase after the Wicked God's effect is processed." The Wicked God said, "As a means of clinging to life, it's not bad, heh.

Then my turn, draw."

The Wicked God said, golden light bloomed in the Graveyard of the Duel Disk.

"Then in the Standby Phase, the effects of two cards in the Graveyard need to be processed." The Wicked God said, "First is 'Takeover5'. This card exists in the Graveyard during the Standby Phase, banish the card with the same name and this card from the Deck, and draw one card from the Deck."

The Wicked God drew a card.

"Then is the effect of 'Swap Frog'.

In the Standby Phase, if there are no Spell or Trap cards in your back row, revive 'Swap Frog' from the Graveyard!"
