Chapter 785: Whose Turn Is It?

"You do not belong to this world."

Gothwin asked again.

"Are you from the future? Or a parallel dimension similar to this one?"

He paused, then asked with even colder tone.

"Have you seen the Earthbound Immortals?"

Fujiki You Xuan smiled mysteriously: "Well, hard to say. Maybe I have."

Gothwin snorted: "If you think playing mysterious games can scare me, you're vastly underestimating me.

My turn is still ongoing.

Due to the recent Synchro Summon of Solar Dragon Inti, the continuous magic 'Celestial Zhong Lou' triggers: when I perform a Synchro Summon, I draw one additional card from my deck."

He glanced at the drawn card, then played it immediately.

"Spell Card 'Magic Flowerpot'—send a continuous spell on the field to the graveyard, then draw two cards from your deck.

I send 'Celestial Zhong Lou' to the graveyard, then draw two cards."

Gothwin drew a card, then immediately declared the Battle Phase.

"I didn't summon an Earthbound Immortal because there's absolutely no need. You aren't even worth its attention.

Battle! I attack 'Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Electromagnetic God' with 'Solar Dragon Inti'!"

【Solar Dragon Inti, ATK 3000】

【Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Electromagnetic God, ATK 3000】

With equal ATK, the battle result can only be mutual destruction—but that is precisely Gothwin's goal.

After Solar Dragon Inti is destroyed, Moonshadow Dragon Kilia will be special summoned from the graveyard. A monster revived during the Battle Phase may still attack, leaving Fujiki You Xuan with no monsters on the field—direct attack will secure victory.

Victory is achievable without even summoning an Earthbound Immortal!

Solar Dragon Inti's four mouths opened simultaneously again, flames converging into a molten stream that shot through the air. The Magnetic Stone Warrior swung its blade, its electrically charged edge colliding midair with the burning light stream; energy and electricity exploded outward in all directions.

The electric current pierced Solar Dragon Inti, shattering its form. Simultaneously, the dragon's thermal stream pierced the Magnetic Stone Warrior, which also exploded into fragments.

"Then, when Solar Dragon Inti is destroyed, Moonshadow Dragon Kilia revives from the graveyard!" Gothwin said. "Return, Moonshadow Dragon Kilia!"

The sunlight faded; the icy blue moon quietly reemerged. Moonlight coalesced into a deep-blue core, four heads emerging together, roaring in unison.

【Moonshadow Dragon Kilia, ATK 2500】

"Then it's over!" Gothwin said. "Moonshadow Dragon Kilia's direct—"

"Huh!?"

Just as he was about to shout "direct attack," Gothwin's pupils shrank—he froze mid-instruction.

Because he saw the Magnetic Stone Warrior, clearly destroyed moments ago, now split into three as the smoke cleared. Its shattered steel body reassembled, reforming into the three separate Magnetic Stone Warriors from before fusion.

【Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Alpha, DEF 1000】

【Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Beta, DEF 1500】

【Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Gamma, DEF 2000】

"The pre-fusion Magnetic Stone Warriors?" Gothwin gasped. "Why?"

"Another effect of 'Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Electromagnetic God,'" Fujiki You Xuan smiled. "When Electromagnetic God is destroyed by battle or by an opponent's card effect, I can special summon one each of 'Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Alpha,' 'Beta,' and 'Gamma' from the cards banished from my deck."

Gothwin: "!"

When destroyed, it automatically separates? That damn underground Magnetic Field…

【Ultra Magnetic Field. Once per turn, when one of my Rock-type Earth monsters battles and fails to destroy the opponent's monster, at the end of the Damage Step, that monster returns to its owner's hand.】

At first glance, three insignificant minions had appeared—but with this cursed field active, the three Magnetic Stone Warriors now looked like porcupines to Gothwin. Even with Moonshadow Dragon revived, he dared not attack.

If he attacked recklessly, Moonshadow Dragon would be bounced back to the Extra Deck, and his Solar-Lunar Dragon combo would be gone again.

Gothwin's head throbbed. What the hell is this field? What the hell is this Magnetic Stone Warrior?

He suddenly began doubting: Could this ancient Magnetic Stone Warrior deck really be this troublesome?

"Effect of 'Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Alpha,'" Fujiki You Xuan said. "When this card is successfully summoned, I add one Level 8 'Magnetic Stone Warrior' monster from my deck to my hand."

Gothwin: "!!"

Level 8 Magnetic Stone Warrior? Shit—does this mean he's going to retrieve Electromagnetic God again?

When Electromagnetic God is destroyed, it automatically separates; when it separates, Alpha can retrieve Electromagnetic God again, and next turn he can fuse again.

Just as Gothwin was about to draw a sharp breath, Fujiki You Xuan smiled: "I'd love to retrieve Electromagnetic God Mk. II, but unfortunately, I only have one copy of it.

Anyway, the Magnetic Stone Warrior deck is still under development—not fully refined. Please forgive me."

He drew a card automatically retrieved from his deck.

"I add 'Magnetic Stone Warrior: Electromagnetic God'—Level 8—to my hand."

Fujiki You Xuan retrieved the classic version of Electromagnetic God—the one used by Yuugi during the Duelist Kingdom arc.

"Then, effect of 'Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Beta'—when summoned, I add one Level 4 or lower 'Magnetic Stone Warrior' monster from my deck to my hand."

Fujiki You Xuan's deck triggered another automatic retrieval; another card was drawn into his hand.

"I add 'Magnetic Stone Warrior: Alpha' to my hand."

!

This was also the classic old version—the same monster that accompanied Yuugi throughout the entire Duelist Kingdom arc.

"'Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Gamma' can special summon one Magnetic Stone Warrior from my hand when summoned—but I won't activate this effect."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled and gestured with an open palm: "Please, it's still your turn. Go ahead."

Gothwin: "."

You actually remember it's my turn?

But even if he said to continue, Gothwin had nothing meaningful to do. The three Magnetic Stone Warriors sat there like immovable obstacles—he dared not attack.

So Gothwin scowled: "Then I end my Battle Phase.

I'll set three cards face-down."

"Wait, don't rush," Fujiki You Xuan interrupted with a smile. "At the moment you enter your Main Phase 2, the combined effect of 'Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Beta' and 'Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Gamma' activates.

Both cards can be tributed during your opponent's turn to special summon a Level 4 'Magnetic Stone Warrior' from your deck.

I tribute both 'Electromagnetic Stone Warrior: Beta' and 'Gamma'!"

"Come forth, Magnetic Stone Warrior: Beta, Magnetic Stone Warrior: Gamma!"

The two Magnetic Stone Warriors disintegrated, their parts reassembling into the classic old versions—the Duelist Kingdom exclusive skins.

【Magnetic Stone Warrior: Beta, ATK 1700】

【Magnetic Stone Warrior: Gamma, ATK 1500】

Gothwin was furious.

Still moving. Still going.

This is my turn—mine! Are you never done?

But as Gothwin observed Fujiki You Xuan's actions, a thought struck him.

He had retrieved Alpha from his deck, summoned Beta and Gamma on the field, and already held Electromagnetic God in hand.

By sending those three classic Magnetic Stone Warriors from hand and field to the graveyard, he could summon Electromagnetic God next turn.

Gothwin sneered at the realization.

Fine, bring it on—it's just a high-ATK white card. He wasn't afraid of such things.

"I set three cards face-down. Turn end."

Gothwin said.

"At the End Phase, Moonshadow Dragon Kilia is destroyed by its own effect.

Solar Dragon Inti revives from the graveyard!"
