Chapter 784

Godwin suppressed the inexplicable unease in his heart and sneered: "Nice attack, I was almost finished off by you.

Unfortunately, my duel is still a cut above. Now that the God's summoning preparations are complete, this means the countdown to your end has already begun!"

Yes, the Earthbound Immortal—that is the source of confidence for Godwin, or rather, for all the Dark Signers in the 5D's villain team.

Immune to Spells and Traps and able to attack directly, it was described by Crow Hogan in 5D's as "a terrifying card that can reverse the situation in any circumstance." And this refers only to the Earthbound Immortal's own card ability, not counting the blessing of fate power.

Although the Earthbound Immortal is not as good as the Egyptian Gods or the Wicked Gods, it is still a "God" and possesses powerful fate power that ordinary monster spirits cannot compare to. Even Yusei, after seeing the Earthbound Immortal for the first time, was left with a huge shadow in his heart for a long time, and even felt fear toward these monsters that transcended common sense.

Just in terms of the presence and pressure when appearing, the presence rendered by the Earthbound Immortal's first battle in the anime is not even inferior to the Egyptian Gods back then.

"Are you absolutely confident in your Earthbound Immortal?" Fujiki You Xuan said indifferently.

While speaking, he was still calmly observing Godwin. He judged that this person should not be Godwin, but the opponent was indeed using Godwin's deck. And the confidence when the opponent mentioned the "Earthbound Immortal," that tone really felt like a Dark Signer.

Coupled with the level of compatibility when the opponent used this Sun and Moon Dragon deck, it really gave Fujiki You Xuan the illusion that "he is the real Godwin."

But if he really were Godwin, why would he have obtained the power of the Dark Signers and the Earthbound Immortal so early in the plot? And why would he want to kill Yusei Fudo? Wouldn't that contradict his plan in the original work?

But no matter what, let's win the duel first.

Fujiki You Xuan said: "Then the Battle Phase ends.

Next, 'Electromagnetic Warrior Magna's' monster effect activates.

Magna can destroy one card on the opponent's field by banishing one 'Magnet Warrior' monster of Level 4 or lower from its Graveyard."

Fujiki You Xuan revealed a card that had just been sent to the Graveyard.

"I banish 'Electromagnetic Warrior Alpha,' which was just destroyed in battle, from the Graveyard to destroy the 'Offering Stone Token'."

The phantom of Electromagnetic Warrior Alpha appeared again, turning into a bolt of electricity that merged into Magna's blade. Magna slashed through the air, and the sword light wrapped in electromagnetic force split one of the stone statues in two.

Godwin raised his hand to block the impact, frowned, and said: "Destroying the tokens to prevent the Earthbound Immortal from descending?"

Fujiki You Xuan said: "The turn is over."

Godwin: "Then it's my turn, draw."

Godwin discarded a card from his hand to the Graveyard and displayed another card from his hand before slapping it onto the Duel Disk.

"The effect of 'Servant of the God - Red Ant' in my hand," Godwin said. "By discarding one card from my hand, this card can be Special Summoned directly in Defense Position.

Come, Servant of the God - Red Ant!"

It still had the style of the previous servant, dressed like some ancient tribe, crouching in a defensive posture on Godwin's field.

【Servant of the God - Red Ant, DEF 1500】

"And the card discarded by the Servant of the God is the Spell Card 'Compensation Hand'," Godwin said. "When Compensation Hand is discarded from the hand, I draw two more cards from my deck."

Godwin drew two more cards.

"The Servant of the God is the servant who controls the Red Ant; his power can summon the arrival of the Red Ant..."

Godwin's deck automatically searched, and another card popped out.

"After being Special Summoned by its own effect, I can then Special Summon one 'Red Ant' from my hand or deck!

Come! Once again, Special Summon the Tuner monster 'Red Ant' from the deck!"

It was that terrifying giant red ant that appeared in the previous turn, but this time it was the second unit, staying obediently by the side of the Servant of the God, seemingly following his orders. "Level 3, Tuner monster 'Red Ant'!

Level 5, 'Servant of the God - Red Ant'!

Tune the two monsters!"

【3+5=8】

"Once again, turn into shining light to illuminate the earth, descend again—

——Sun Dragon - Inti!"

Red Ant's body turned into three green light rings, surrounding the Servant of the God. The servant's body became transparent and ethereal until the five stars in his body were stripped out and connected in a straight line within the light rings.

Amidst a scorching white-hot light, the sun rose again.

Sun Dragon - Inti, summoned again!

"See that? Even if you used despicable means to sneak attack the Sun Dragon, it's useless!" Godwin shouted, "The sun will rise again no matter what!

Now that the Sun Dragon is re-summoned, the immortal Sun and Moon Dragon combo is established again!"

"Is that so?"

Fujiki You Xuan smiled playfully.

!

"But there's one thing I'm quite curious about. You should have the Earthbound Immortal you just searched for last turn in your hand, right?

You just Special Summoned the Servant of the God, and with the remaining tokens, you've already gathered two Tributes on the field, and you haven't used your Normal Summon for this turn yet.

You should be able to summon the Earthbound Immortal. But instead of the Earthbound Immortal, you chose to summon the Sun Dragon again."

Fujiki You Xuan narrowed his eyes.

"Does this mean that compared to the Sun Dragon, the Earthbound Immortal can't protect you? Because your Earthbound Immortal can't kill me in one turn, and you're worried that the Earthbound Immortal won't be able to protect you next turn, and you'll be killed instantly, right?"

He smiled and said.

"It seems someone isn't as confident in their so-called Earthbound Immortal as they appear."

Godwin's expression was gloomy.

At first glance, it sounded like the opponent was just spouting trash talk, but Godwin's heart skipped a beat when he heard this.

Because there is a secret in the Earthbound Immortal's effect in the anime world that can be considered a weakness.

Earthbound Immortals cannot be selected as attack targets. This sounds like a positive effect at first, meaning that even if the opponent summons a monster stronger than the Earthbound Immortal, they can't defeat them because they can't attack at all.

But in the anime, the actual performance is that because the Earthbound Immortal cannot be selected as an attack target, if only the Earthbound Immortal exists on the controller's field, the opponent can ignore the Earthbound Immortal and attack the Earthbound Immortal's controller directly.

So Fujiki You Xuan was right. If he didn't choose to summon Sun Dragon Inti but the Earthbound Immortal here, Godwin's Earthbound Immortal didn't have the ability to kill the opponent in one turn. Conversely, next turn the opponent would likely bypass the Earthbound Immortal and attack him directly, and he would likely lose.

It was precisely to compensate for this weakness of the Earthbound Immortal that Godwin chose the Sun and Moon Dragon tactic. First, set up the Sun and Moon Dragon formation as a basic line of defense, and then summon the Earthbound Immortal to ensure the kill. Godwin in the anime, facing the three protagonists alone, used the same tactic.

But this weakness, even in the anime, was only discovered by the Signers led by Yusei during the battle. And at this time, the Earthbound Immortal of this world had never appeared, and Godwin hadn't even summoned it in this duel.

How could the opponent know the weakness of the Earthbound Immortal?

Godwin was suspicious for a moment, then his expression turned cold, and he asked in a deep voice.

"Are you from the future?"
