Chapter 928: Desperate Survival

"My turn, draw."

Back to Fujiki You Xuan's turn.

"Activate the Spell Card 'Fiend's Sanctuary'," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Special Summon one 'Metal Fiend Token' to my field."

The classic summoning circle opened on the ground, and a small doll made entirely of silver metal was summoned and appeared in the center of the circle.

【Metal Fiend Token, ATK 0】

"Next, activate the Spell Card 'Sacrificial Doll' from my hand," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Tribute one monster on my field to Special Summon one Level 7 monster that can be Normal Summoned from my hand.

But as a cost, the monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot attack.

I Tribute the 'Metal Fiend Token'."

The small metal doll on Fujiki You Xuan's field disintegrated into light spots and disappeared from the field.

"Special Summon the Level 7 Fiend from my hand, 'Fiend's Summoning God'!"

This was a torso based on a thin skeletal structure, as if woven from dark bones. When those iconic, massive bone wings were spread horizontally, their width reached almost three times that of the torso; the bone wings were composed of translucent purple membranes, forming a strong visual contrast with the thin spine.

【Fiend's Summoning God, ATK 0】

Level 7 but 0 ATK, and the name is "Fiend's Summoning God." The appearance of this thing immediately brought a sense of urgency to everyone again.

And their intuition of crisis was soon proven to be necessary.

"Fiend's Summoning God's effect," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Tribute this card itself to add one of 'Uria, Lord of Searing Flames', 'Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder', or 'Rasca, Lord of Earthbound Immortals' from my Deck or Graveyard to my hand."

Fujiki You Xuan shook a card he had retrieved from the Graveyard.

"Return 'Rasca, Lord of Earthbound Immortals' from the Graveyard to my hand."

Crow gritted his teeth: "The Earthbound Immortal we finally defeated is again..."

Jack: "But, the summoning of that Earthbound Immortal requires Tributing three monsters; even if it's retrieved, it's not that easy to bring out!"

Fujiki You Xuan laughed: "That's not necessarily true."

Jack: "Nani?"

"Fiend's Summoning God's subsequent effect: after searching for an Earthbound Immortal to my hand, I can then Special Summon one Level 10 Fiend, Pyro, or Thunder-Type monster with equal ATK and DEF from my hand, ignoring its summoning conditions!"

The three: "!"

Pyro, Thunder, and Fiend-Type—obviously, these correspond exactly to the types of Uria, Hamon, and Rasca. Then it limited it to Level 10, and ATK and DEF must be equal...

It was almost like reading out the ID numbers of those three brothers.

"Descend once more! Rasca, Lord of Earthbound Immortals!!!"

The world changed color, and ghostly blue energy erupted like fire from the broken crust. The giant shadow of the Earthbound Immortal rose into the sky with the ghostly fire, and its giant claws slammed onto the ground; at this moment, the world trembled with it.

【Rasca, Lord of Earthbound Immortals, ATK 4000】

Yusei said solemnly: "To be able to operate the Earthbound Immortal so skillfully..."

He had already seen that the three Earthbound Immortals had high ATK suppression, absolute resistance to traps, and each had not-so-weak effects. But these weren't the most critical points; the key was that these three brothers had ten thousand ways to jump back and forth.

Even if they spent all their effort to defeat it, it was very likely to return to the field on the next turn.

Crow: "Earthbound Immortal, what kind of terrifying guy is it..."

"It's too early to be surprised," Fujiki You Xuan smiled. "Next, activate the effect of 'Rasca, Lord of Earthbound Immortals - Heaven's Ravaging Fist' in the Graveyard.

If this card is in the Graveyard, once per turn, by Tributing one monster on my field, I can return this card from the Graveyard to my hand."

Everyone: "!"

Heaven's Ravaging Fist, the same name as the Earthbound Immortal's finishing move, that terrifying card with instant-kill ability. It could instantly double the Earthbound Immortal's power to 8000, and had the terrifying ability to attack multiple times.

It actually had the ability to salvage itself!

In this way, this card was almost equivalent to an extension of the Earthbound Immortal's own effect. It was equivalent to Rasca, Lord of Earthbound Immortals gaining "Once per turn, Tribute one monster on my field, double my ATK and attack all monsters on the opponent's field."

"Then once again, the effect of the Field Spell 'Paradise'." Fujiki You Xuan said. "If there is an Earthbound Immortal on my field, once per turn, draw two cards from my Deck."

Fujiki You Xuan drew two more cards.

"Battle!" Fujiki You Xuan said. "Rasca, Lord of Earthbound Immortals, attack 'Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North'!"

The Earthbound Immortal began to gather strength, and ghostly blue energy merged into its right fist, turning into a punch that shattered the void and erupted.

"Crow!" Yusei couldn't help but speak out.

The Earthbound Immortal's ATK was 4000, and Blizzard the Far North's ATK was 1700. Logically, this strike would cause 2300 battle damage, and there should still be a sliver of health left. But everyone hadn't forgotten that Fujiki You Xuan still had the "Heaven's Ravaging Fist" he had just retrieved in his hand.

When damage calculation occurred, discarding Heaven's Ravaging Fist would cause the Earthbound Immortal's ATK to explode to 8000 in that instant. And the three's Life Points were only 2600; this punch was more than enough to kill them instantly!

Crow shouted: "Ahhh, my full power is not just this!

Activate Set card, Trap Card 'Destruction Cure'!

Destroy one monster on my field, and recover Life Points equal to that monster's ATK!"

Crow took a deep breath.

"Forgive me, Blackwings."

Then he raised his arm high.

"I destroy 'Blizzard the Far North' and recover Life Points equal to its ATK!"

Boom!

Blizzard exploded under the red glow of the trap, as if releasing a cloud of blood mist, and all the mist was absorbed into Crow's own body.

【Crow/Jack/Yusei, LP 2600 → LP 4300】

Outside the field, Sawatari said: "Ah, actually having Crow destroy his own Blackwings with his own hands..."

"But this is fine," Akiza explained. "Although the Earthbound Immortal has 8000 ATK and can attack continuously, by manually destroying Blizzard the Far North first, the Earthbound Immortal has no target to attack."

Yusei also said: "Indeed. If Blizzard the Far North is Tributed, the only monster left on our field is 'Blackwing - Armor Master'."

"That's right!" Crow said, "Armor Master is a battle-invincible monster; even if attacked, it won't be hurt!

Protect our bonds, Armor Master!"

"Hahaha, not bad, not bad, blocked it again relying on Armor Master's ability," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Then I set two cards, turn end."

Jack: "My turn, draw!"

"Activate the Spell Card 'Card of Adversity'. If the opponent has a Special Summoned monster and I have no monsters on my field, draw two cards from my Deck!"

Jack accelerated to draw two cards, but his expression changed slightly after seeing the cards he drew.

This card...

Has it already reached the time to use this move?
