Chapter 96

King of the Skull Servants thought that since it relied on the great True God and was entrusted with this duty, the number of offerings it had presided over and sacrificed was countless. But it really hadn't seen many who were so proactive.

But since he had already arrived at the altar, it had no choice but to continue the ritual.

It would be fine to solve the opponent quickly.

"Duel!" x2

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 4000】

【King of the Skull Servants, LP 4000】

"I'll go first, draw card."

King of the Skull Servants said coldly.

"Cover one monster on the field, then set two cards, turn end."

The skeleton soldiers began to make a series of strange noises, not knowing if it was part of the ritual.

"Then my turn, draw card."

Fujiki You Xuan had observed the previous two duels before coming up. With the help of the spirit's power, he understood that the altar they were standing on had a green hexagram mark, which obviously had fluctuations similar to "Orichalcos Barrier."

But it didn't seem to have the effect of increasing attack power or sharing monster zones and magic/trap zones like a real barrier; it was just a simple duel field. But it had functions similar to the Orichalcos barrier, that is, the souls of the defeated would be extracted.

"Summon Breaker the Magical Warrior!"

【Breaker the Magical Warrior, ATK 1600】

"When Breaker the Magical Warrior is successfully summoned, place a magic counter on it, increasing its attack power by 300 points. However, by removing this counter, you can destroy one magic or trap card on the field."

Fujiki You Xuan pointed directly at the opponent's back row.

"Destroy the set card on the left."

Breaker the Magical Warrior's longsword slashed down, and a crescent-shaped sword energy shot out. But the opponent's set card also responded immediately.

"Useless. I chain and activate this card you selected," King of the Skull Servants' skull mouth opened and closed, "Trap card - Needle Worm Nest! Send the top five cards of your deck to the Graveyard."

Five cards flew out automatically from the top of its Duel Disk deck, flying into the Graveyard with a swoosh as if carried by a cloud of black mist. Breaker the Magical Warrior's sword energy missed.

"Then use 'Breaker the Magical Warrior' to attack the covered monster."

The sword light slashed through, and the set card was split in two, revealing an eerie white bone, its fragile body easily slashed apart under the sword energy.

【Skull Servant Nightmare, DEF 200】

"Set one card, turn end."

"Heh, a painless attack. But at the same time, you have taken another step toward the abyss!

My turn, draw card!

Activate 'Pot of Greed', draw two cards."

King of the Skull Servants drew another card with its withered skeletal fingers.

"Continuous Magic 'Call of the Mummy'! Once per turn, if there are no monsters on your field, you can Special Summon an Undead monster from your hand.

Therefore, I want to Special Summon this card from my hand—

—Prince of the Skull Servants!"

【Prince of the Skull Servants, ATK 0】

"At this moment, activate Quick-Play Magic 'Inferno Reckless Summon'!" King of the Skull Servants said, "When the opponent has a face-up monster on the field and you successfully Special Summon a monster with 1500 or less ATK, you can activate it.

I can Special Summon as many monsters with the same name—that is, 'Prince of the Skull Servants'—as possible from the deck!

However, in exchange, the opponent can also choose any monster on their field and Special Summon all cards with the same name from the deck."

Two more small Skull Servants appeared on King of the Skull Servants' field.

"I Special Summon the other two 'Prince of the Skull Servants'!"

【Prince of the Skull Servants, ATK 0】 x2

Fujiki You Xuan: "Then I Special Summon the other two 'Breaker the Magical Warrior'."

【Breaker the Magical Warrior, ATK 1600】 x2

"It doesn't matter if you summon them or not, because they will all be dragged into the vortex of hell immediately." King of the Skull Servants said in a deep voice, "Activate set card, Trap card - Torrential Tribute!

When a monster is summoned, Special Summoned, or Flip Summoned on the field, destroy all monsters on both sides of the field!"

The trap card flipped over, and the overbearing blue torrent swept across the field. The three small Skull Servants that had just appeared and the three Breaker the Magical Warriors on Fujiki You Xuan's field were all shattered in the torrent together.

"But at this moment, the effect of 'Prince of the Skull Servants' is also activated. When the Prince is sent from the field to the Graveyard, send one 'Skull Servant' and one 'Lady in Wight' each from your hand or deck to the Graveyard.

Because I destroyed three 'Prince of the Skull Servants' on my field at once, I sent three 'Skull Servant' and three 'Lady in Wight', a total of six cards, from the deck to the Graveyard!"

Six more cards flew out, riding the rolling black mist with a swoosh into the Graveyard. In just a moment, a large number of Skull Servants had accumulated in its Graveyard.

Fujiki You Xuan understood in his heart, knowing what was going to happen next.

The preparation work is ready, is it coming?

"Hahahaha, this way it's over! Watch closely!

The king who stepped out of the sea of sleeping bones from the abyss of hell! Rising from the abyss of death, I want to call for my own descent here—

—King of the Skull Servants, summon!"

The pitch-black phantom separated from its body and turned into a clone that appeared on the field. The altar beneath their feet seemed to be decaying, and bone towers surrounded the King of the Skull Servants, rising into the sky, and eerie winds howled on the field.

【King of the Skull Servants, ATK?】

"The attack power of King of the Skull Servants will become the number of Skull Servants in my Graveyard x 1000 points." King of the Skull Servants shouted, "Now, the monsters in my Graveyard that are treated as 'Skull Servant' include the three 'Prince of the Skull Servants' that just entered the Graveyard, three 'Skull Servant', and three 'Lady in Wight'!

There are also the 'Skull Servant Nightmare' you beat down last turn, another 'Skull Servant Nightmare' sent to the Graveyard by 'Needle Worm Nest', and 'Skull Servant Princess'.

A total of twelve! So my own attack power becomes..."

【King of the Skull Servants, ATK 12000】

Surrounded by countless bone towers, the clone of the King of the Skull Servants showed the demeanor of a king, solemn and inviolable.

The skeleton soldiers took the opportunity to shout: "As expected of the Great King! 12,000 attack power right from the start!"

"See that? This is the king who dominates the undead, absolute power! In the face of this power, become the God's offering!" King of the Skull Servants shouted, "I use myself to attack directly..."

"Open set card." Fujiki You Xuan's back row flipped over, "Quick-Play Magic - Rebellion! Gain control of one monster on the opponent's field during the Battle Phase!"

"Nani!?"

King of the Skull Servants was shocked.

I rebel against myself!?

But the power of magic during a duel is absolute. Only to see the clone of the King of the Skull Servants stop abruptly, pat its forehead as if thinking of something, and fly to Fujiki You Xuan's side of the field with a swoosh, glaring at the opposite body with its hollow eyes.

It was as if it was saying, everyone is King of the Skull Servants, why should you be the one playing cards while I have to go down and listen to your command?

The skeleton soldiers who were shouting also froze.

Ah this...

The Great King is having an internal strife with himself?

King of the Skull Servants: "."

Gritting its teeth, it snorted coldly: "Forget it, the magic effect only lasts until the end of the Battle Phase.

Then my turn ends. Come back, my clone!"

The King of the Skull Servants, who ended its short rebellion, returned to this side of the field. The King of the Skull Servants who was playing cards glared at it fiercely, as if saying, after the cards are played, I'll settle the score with you, you traitor.

"My turn, draw card.

Activate Magic card 'Graceful Charity', draw three cards from the deck, then discard two cards from hand."

King of the Skull Servants: "Replacing cards in hand. Heh, useless. I now have 12,000 attack power, no matter what you replace, you can't pass my invincible..."

"Magic card 'Change of Heart'. Pay 800 Life Points to gain control of one monster on the opponent's field."

King of the Skull Servants: "Nani!!!"

Wanting to steal me again!?
