Chapter 962

"Pluto Dragon - Conviction God!"

The card in Fujiki You Xuan's hand was slapped onto the Duel Disk, and the light all around seemed to be swallowed by some invisible force in an instant. The earth seemed to crack, and ghostly purple underworld fire seeped out from the pitch-black cracks, as if countless dead souls were wailing in the abyss.

A dark purple pillar of light shot into the sky, and a huge dragon shadow slowly appeared in the pillar. The pitch-black scales glowed with a cold, metallic luster, and when its wings spread, the shadows covered the entire arena, as if night had fallen.

Pluto Dragon - Conviction God, Summon!

【Pluto Dragon - Conviction God, ATK 2800】

"Completely, completely, completely unexpected!" Pompadoured commentator shouted, "Player Lina's beautiful two-stage Synchro Summon, but it only sank deeper and deeper in the opponent's continuous counterattacks!

Player Fujiki You Xuan continuously blocked the opponent's Synchro, drew cards continuously, and now even summoned a powerful high-level monster!

In this way, it is Player Lina who is attacking fiercely that is in danger!"

"Damn it!"

Victor of Team Super Power off the stage also punched the table angrily and scolded.

"Does that bastard Chief intend to fight entirely by relying on traps?"

Captain Blake said in a low voice: "Calm down, don't lose your footing. Take this opportunity to observe the opponent's duel and collect information, later..."

He didn't continue, but Victor had already understood the captain's meaning.

The captain might feel that Lina might not be able to do it, and maybe she will be beaten down soon. Today, it might still require the two of them to go into battle to resolve the fight.

Fujiki You Xuan continued: "Pluto Dragon - Conviction God's effect, when this card is successfully Special Summoned by its own effect, according to the type of card the opponent's card negated by the Counter Trap I control, different effects can be activated.

I just used 'Divine Punishment' to negate the effect of your 'Psychic Demon', which belongs to a monster effect.

When a Counter Trap negates a monster effect, the corresponding Pluto Dragon effect is that you can Special Summon a monster from your Graveyard."

Lina's heart moved. Until now, she hadn't even touched the opponent's monster, so if there were monsters in the opponent's Graveyard, it could only be...

"Not bad, the monster you used 'Hand Destruction' to send to the Graveyard earlier." Fujiki You Xuan smiled and said, "Revive 'Sky Saint - Mortius' from the Graveyard!"

The vortex of the Graveyard beside his D-Wheel opened with a clatter, and a pitch-black pillar of light erupted from it. Holy feathers scattered all over the sky, and the red angel bathed in divine light was surrounded by a ring of light, flying on the other side of Fujiki You Xuan's D-Wheel.

【Sky Saint - Mortius, ATK 1600】

Lina gritted her teeth.

Spreading out quickly and attacking rapidly was originally the part that her Psychic deck was proud of. Who knew that after a series of operations, she looked at the field and there was nothing, but the monsters in the opponent's hand and field were increasing the more they fought...

Lina gradually began to get anxious.

But she glanced at a card in her hand.

There is still a chance.

"Set a card, turn end." Lina said.

Fujiki You Xuan said: "My turn, draw."

After drawing the card, he glanced at it and immediately revealed it.

"Activate Field Spell 'The Sanctuary in the Sky'!"

A soft white halo spread out with Fujiki You Xuan's D-Wheel as the center, and countless fine light particles drifted like feathers. A distant holy song came from the air, as if the whispers of angels were echoing in the ears.

The track seemed to rise slowly, and the field seemed to be lifted by pure sea of clouds. The surrounding scenery gradually blurred, replaced by the boundless blue sky. The clouds flowed like light gauze, and the white palace slowly appeared, with elegant and holy lines, and the brilliant crystals embedded in the dome refracted seven-colored rainbow light. "Angels must have a stage for angels to fight." Fujiki You Xuan smiled, "In The Sanctuary in the Sky, all battle damage caused by Fairy-type monsters to us is 0."

Lina clicked her tongue.

But Fujiki You Xuan didn't say much that although only this sentence was recorded on The Sanctuary in the Sky card, it actually hid a bunch of hidden effects. For example, his Counter Angels, many of them are limited to gaining additional effects when in The Sanctuary in the Sky field.

Of course, this is the fun that the opponent has to discover slowly by themselves.

Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand: "I set two cards in the back row.

Then enter the Battle Phase!"

Lina's heart jumped.

Set cards first, then battle...

Lina gritted her teeth: "Does this bastard think he's got me this turn?"

In regular duels, everyone generally attacks first, and then sets cards in the back row in Main Phase 2 to prepare for the next turn's defense and counterattack. But in the relay team tournament, it's different. Once Fujiki You Xuan enters the Battle Phase directly, if he kills Lina in this turn, then it will be forced to jump directly to the End Phase from the Battle Phase, and there is no Main Phase 2, so Fujiki You Xuan cannot set cards again to prepare for the next turn.

In other words, Fujiki You Xuan's action of setting cards first has already revealed his intention of "preparing to kill".

"'Harvest Angel Artemis', attack Miss Lina directly."

The white angel flew out from the side of Fujiki You Xuan's D-Wheel, sprinting along the track, heading straight for Lina's car tail.

Lina's eyes were stern: "This is the moment I've been waiting for!

Activate set card, Trap Card 'Waboku - Wave Force'!"

The roar of the D-Wheel engine was covered by the sound of soft tides, and countless fine water droplets condensed from the void, condensing as if pulled by an invisible gravitational force.

The clear water barrier suddenly opened, forming a perfect hemispherical shield in mid-air, countless layers of flowing ripples intertwined into a barrier, as if the aurora refracted from the deep sea was rippling. The airflow driven by the D-Wheel speeding at high speed seemed to hit the barrier, actually stirring up layers of ripples.

"It's actually Waboku!" Pompadoured commentator became even more excited, "When Waboku is activated during an opponent's direct attack declaration, return all Attack Position monsters on the opponent's field to the owner's deck!

If this move passes, all three monsters on Player Fujiki You Xuan's field will have to return to the deck, which will become completely blank! Will the situation be completely rewritten by this one trap again!?"

The audience's shouting also reached its peak at this moment!

Fujiki You Xuan was annoyed: "Damn it! Actually hid a water shield at this last moment... My angel, my Conviction God, such a scene that was finally completed..."

"It's not just you who can use traps!" Lina shouted, "Return them all to the deck!"

However, the next moment Fujiki You Xuan's annoyance disappeared suddenly, and he became playful again: "I lied."

Lina: "Eh?"

"Counter Trap 'Seven Tools of the Bandit'!"

Another Counter Trap flipped over beside Fujiki You Xuan.

"Pay 1000 Life Points to negate the activation of the opponent's Trap Card and destroy it!"

Lina: "!"

Still hiding a counter to traps!?
