Chapter 963

Counter Trap - Seven Tools of the Bandit!

An ancient trap from the DM era, a card used by the King in the anime. The red light of the trap was released, and an invisible restriction fell on the Waboku barrier in Lina's back row.

【You Xuan, LP 4000 → LP 3000】

The water barrier in Lina's back row immediately disintegrated and fell apart. Transparent waves exploded in all directions, and the water shield completely vanished.

Lina showed despair.

Counter Trap, it's a Counter Trap again...

Endless counterattacks, can't do anything at all.

Monsters can't be summoned, effects can't be activated, and now even traps can't pass...

Can't do it, she can't do anything.

This deck can't be played at all.

"Also, because a Counter Trap was activated again." You Xuan said slowly, "First, the effect of 'Harvest Angel Artemis' is activated.

When Harvest Angel Artemis activates a Counter Trap, I draw a card from the deck."

You Xuan drew a card. And at the same time, Mortius, who had just appeared on the side, also shone with divine light, golden light fell on You Xuan, and a warm current was sucked into his body.

"The effect of 'Sky Saint - Mortius'." You Xuan said, "This card exists on the field, every time I or the opponent activates a Counter Trap, I recover 1000 Life Points."

【You Xuan, LP 3000 → LP 4000】

Lina's eyes were even more desperate.

Even the 1000 Life Points paid were recovered...

She tried her best, and the only bit of damage she caused him vanished. The existence of Mortius is equivalent to wiping out the cost of activating Seven Tools of the Bandit... No, before that, the draw effect of 'Harvest Angel Artemis' in the last turn also offset the cost of discarding a card from the hand for 'Divine Punishment'.

"Attack continues." You Xuan said, "Harvest Angel Artemis, Pluto Dragon - Conviction God, continuous direct attack!"

Pluto Dragon's blow completely brought down the curtain for Team Super Power's first rider. Dark purple light rolled in Pluto Dragon's throat, and the surrounding air was burned into twisted cracks. The pitch-black wings suddenly closed, and a dark purple flame pillar sprayed out with a roar, sweeping across Lina's D-Wheel with endless cold flames.

"Ahhh—"

【Lina, LP 3200 → LP 0】

The front of Lina's D-Wheel exploded with a large group of steam, and the D-Wheel also slowed down rapidly. You Xuan, who was speeding behind her, accelerated to catch up and quickly overtook her from the side.

The audience was already exploding at this time, and some people began to shout You Xuan's name.

Pompadoured commentator was also emotionally excited: "This is really unexpected, Player You Xuan cleared the level without damage, and won the first game without receiving any damage at all!

Could it be that he can really defeat three people in a row and advance by his own strength!?"

The defeated Lina drove the D-Wheel back to the team's maintenance station and handed over to the teammate who was the next rider.

Lina showed shame and said: "Sorry, I... I couldn't..."

"It's okay." Captain Blake, who was the next to go up, patted her on the shoulder and said in a low voice, "It's not your fault. We were completely unprepared, this new Chief of the Public Security Maintenance Bureau is indeed strange."

Now the three of them have completely let go of their initial contempt, knowing that this person is probably far from being comparable to ordinary duelists.

Although this thought feels ridiculous, this You Xuan is probably serious—he really wants to rely on one person to participate, and win a place on this WRGP stage where stars gather from all over the world!

It's just crazy!

Their Team Super Power was once a North American championship team, and this time they are also aiming for the championship. If they lose the first battle of the preliminaries today—and were slaughtered by the opponent alone, the blow to morale is undoubtedly unprecedented.

So even if the victory or defeat of the preliminaries will not directly determine advancement or elimination, they don't want to lose this game no matter what!

The D-Wheel started, and Blake also rushed onto the track like a silver meteor.

"Team Super Power sent their second rider, Captain Blake!" Pompadoured commentator said, "Can the captain who took over from Lina reverse the situation?"

Blake: "My turn, draw!" Blake took a deep breath.

Although the opponent is only one person, Lina couldn't take even a tiny bit of Life Points from the opponent. Even if they are still two against one, they still can't be careless.

"Activate Quick-Play Spell 'Emergency Teleport'!"

Blake played the Psychic god card Emergency Teleport as soon as he came up.

"This card can only be activated when there are no monsters on my field." Blake said, "Special Summon a Psychic-type monster of Level 3 or lower from my deck. However, the monster Special Summoned by this effect is banished from the game during the End Phase."

A monster card in the deck on the D-Wheel popped out automatically, and was drawn by Blake and slapped onto the Duel Disk.

"Special Summon 'Psychic Tracker'!"

A small psychic who wore goggles and looked like a child was summoned to the field.

【Psychic Tracker, ATK 800】

【Psychic Tracker, ATK 800】

"Then release 'Psychic Tracker'!" Blake said, "Tribute Summon! Appear—

——Level 6, Max Teleporter!"

【Max Teleporter, ATK 2100】

"'Max Teleporter', effect activate!" Blake said, "This card can pay 2000 Life Points to Special Summon two 3-star Psychic-type monsters from the deck to my field."

【Blake, LP 4000 → LP 2000】

Pompadoured commentator: "Captain Blake paid 2000 Life Points as soon as he came up! Is he willing to pay such a price to launch an attack?"

Teammate Victor off the field also had a serious expression: "That Blake would actually be serious to this extent..."

Lina, who had already left the field, said: "That Chief Fujiki You Xuan, he is indeed an opponent worthy of such treatment. He is definitely not an opponent who can be defeated by being reluctant to pay the price."

At this time, two cards had already popped out of Blake's deck, and after he drew them, he immediately slapped them both onto the Duel Disk.

"I Special Summon these two cards, appear!

Psychic Commander!

Tacit Psychic Priest!"

The same priest that Lina used before stepped onto the field quietly, blocking in front of the D-Wheel in a defensive posture. Psychic Commander is a psychic warrior wearing military uniform, his head hidden by an iron mask, and his lower body hidden in a floating tank.

【Psychic Commander, ATK 1400】

【Tacit Psychic Priest, DEF 2100】

"'Tacit Psychic Priest' effect, once per turn, discard a card from hand, banish a Psychic-type monster from your Graveyard."

Blake sent a card from his hand to the Graveyard.

"I banish 'Psychic Tracker' from the Graveyard!"

Blake took a deep breath.

Now, it's time for their Team Super Power to counterattack!
