Chapter 57: You Can

With the activation of the Trap Card, all three monsters on Mo Liang's field switched to defense position, rendering the attack ineffective.

Mo Liang slightly frowned.

Is this guy figured out the characteristics of my Deck?

Hmph! But it doesn't matter.

"I'll activate this card from my hand—【Hand Card Cut-off】!"

"Both of us discard two cards, then draw two cards from our Deck."

"I'm discarding these two."

Saying this, Mo Liang showed You Tian two white-effect Demon-type cards.

You Tian nodded slightly.

Mo Liang is frantically stacking his Graveyard.

"Then I'll choose these two."

You Tian displayed his 【Three-Eyed Monster】 and 【Book of the Sun】 to Mo Liang.

Swish! Swish!

You Tian: "Mo Liang, at this moment, the effect of 【Three-Eyed Monster】, sent to your Graveyard, activates: when this card is sent to the Graveyard, I can choose one monster with 1500 or less Attack Power from my Deck and add it to my hand."

"I'm adding this one: 【WindSpiritLaiYin】."

Mo Liang clicked his tongue.

"I'll set one more card. End my turn."

You Tian: "My turn, Draw Phase."

Watching the field, Malik grew anxious.

"Oh no, sister."

Isis turned her head.

"The situation is unfavorable for Dad!"

Isis: …

"The situation is unfavorable for Mr. You Tian?"

Malik nodded.

"Although this turn Mo Liang failed to reduce your life points with 【Giant Virus】, those two are still on his field—he can attack you directly at any time."

Isis: …

"Uh, brother, could you stop calling him 'Dad' all the time?"

"Huh?" Malik blinked.

"Damn it! I've gotten used to it!"

Isis: …

Isis sighed helplessly.

"I understand what you mean."

"Mo Liang is currently employing a life-point reduction strategy."

She turned her gaze to Mo Liang's 【Dark Sanctuary】.

"This card has a 50% chance of causing Mr. You Tian to take damage from his own monster's attack whenever he attacks."

"That forces Mr. You Tian into defense—but…"

Isis turned her gaze again, this time to Mo Liang's 【Spiritual Disc】.

"If Mr. You Tian continues defending, after three turns, he will lose due to 【Spiritual Disc】."

Here, Isis glanced worriedly at You Tian ahead.

You Tian, how will you break this deadlock…

The next moment, You Tian gave the answer.

"I switch 【Giant Rat】 to defense position."

【Defense Power: 1450】

Still defending? Isis's heart sank slightly.

You Tian looked at Mo Liang's two 【Giant Virus】.

If destroyed in battle, they'll deal me damage…

Heh heh~

You Tian grinned broadly.

"Little Mo, although we've only known each other a short time, I've developed some feelings for you—rounding up, I might as well call you my nephew You."

Mo Liang:?

Isis, Malik:?

"Look at what trash you've got on your field!"

Mo Liang frowned.

You Tian sighed.

"Sigh, you youngsters—why don't you include any high-level monsters in your Deck?"

Mo Liang:?

Is this guy crazy?

Then You Tian put on an expression of great pain.

"Fine, fine—since I have ties with your father, I'll do this: use your two 【Giant Virus】 as Tribute, and I'll give you this big monster!"

Mo Liang:???

Done for. After emerging from the Underworld three thousand years ago, I've finally been made to feel fear by a lunatic.

But in the next instant, two of Mo Liang's 【Giant Virus】 monsters actually appeared with Tribute rings beneath their feet.

Mo Liang:???

Is my Duel Disk broken?

"Hehe!"

Mo Liang looked up at You Tian.

"I tribute your two 【Giant Virus】 monsters to Special Summon 【Lava Golem】!"

Boom! A crimson lava giant surged upward, and the two 【Giant Virus】 were liberated into the Graveyard.

【Lava Golem】 【Attack Power: 3000】!

Malik: "Ah! That's my 【Lava Golem】!"

"Hehehe!" You Tian squinted at Mo Liang.

"This card lets you tribute two monsters on your field to Special Summon it onto your field."

"And the 【Giant Virus】 monsters used as tributes won't deal damage to me!"

Mo Liang:!

What the hell? Forcing me to tribute my own monsters? How is this card even legal?

A glint flashed in Malik's eyes.

"That's right! That way, we won't take damage from the 【Giant Virus】!"

Isis nodded as well.

"Hmph!" Mo Liang calmed himself, then sneered again.

"Even if you used this trick to neutralize my 【Giant Virus】, you've just handed me a high-level monster."

"Next turn, I'll attack you directly with 【Lava Golem】!"

"Now you've shot yourself in the foot! Hahahahahaha!"

Hearing this, Malik frowned again.

I usually used this card in tandem with 【Swords of Revealing Light】.

But You Tian didn't draw 【Swords of Revealing Light】. Next turn, Mo Liang can attack with 【Lava Golem】! How could You Tian make such a huge mistake at this moment!

"Tsk tsk tsk!"

Yet You Tian remained unfazed upon hearing this.

"Little Mo, summoning a high-level monster so fast?"

"Listen to Uncle—Dueling's waters run deep. You can't handle this monster. Give it back to Uncle!"

Mo Liang:???

Go get therapy…

Then, in the next instant, Mo Liang's 【Lava Golem】 slowly crawled over to You Tian's field.

Mo Liang:!!!

Malik, Isis:!!!

What the hell is going on?!

To explain to everyone, You Tian slowly raised the card he had just activated.

"Quick-Play Spell, 【BrainwashingLiberation】."

"When a monster is tributed, I can activate this card. I choose one monster—if its original owner is me, I gain control of it, and return it to my hand at the End Phase."

Mo Liang:!!!

Malik, Isis: …

"Wait!"

The Great Demon God's brain was struggling to keep up.

"You tributed my two monsters, summoned 【Lava Golem】, and now this 【Lava Golem】 is supposed to go back to you?"

You Tian grinned and nodded.

Mo Liang: …

Is this even possible?

After emerging from the Underworld three thousand years ago, the Great Demon God felt his blood pressure spike for the first time.

Ha~ Ha~

Mo Liang forced himself to take two deep breaths.

You Tian nodded approvingly.

The Great Demon God truly had high enlightenment—not even angry at this.

"I'll Set one more card. End my turn."

"At this moment, 【Lava Golem】 returns to my hand."

"Alright, your turn."

Mo Liang: "At this moment, the effect of 【Spiritual Disc】 activates!"

Hum~ A 【Death Message】 【A】 appeared on the field.

"Hmph. Boring Niu Tounren tactics."

"Now, my field has 【D】【E】【A】 complete—I'm about to send you straight into darkness!"

You Tian feigned a look of terror.

"Oh~ I'm so scared~"

Mo Liang:...

Damn bastard!

Mo Liang clenched his pale fists.

That damn thing was back in his hands; next turn, he'll sacrifice my monster again.

"My turn, Draw Phase!"

Seeing the card he drew, Mo Liang's mood improved slightly.

"Die Together"...

Perfect!
