Chapter 66

You Tian: "Can I ask why you can wear a Duel Disk just fine, but I get arrested for wearing one?"

General Fried remained silent, as if unwilling to waste any more words on You Tian.

You Tian sighed again, shaking his head.

Heh, I know this one—NPC affinity too low, new dialogue untriggered.

But this works out fine.

During my earlier struggle with Mo Liang, the Millennium Scale's power was completely drained.

If these soldiers charge en masse, it'll truly be a nuisance.

"Then, let's talk after the Duel…"

"Duel!" ×2

【General Fried LP: 4000】

【You Tian LP: 4000】

Seeing the Duel begin, 【Sacrificial Demon】 quietly stepped aside.

"Ohhh! A Duel!"

"Go, General Fried! Crush this dark appendage!"

"General Fried is the best! I love you, General! You're from Dandong~"

The surrounding soldiers continuously cheered for Fried. General Fried himself looked thoroughly pleased.

General Fried: "I take the first turn! Draw Phase!"

His gaze dropped to his hand.

"Captain! Your turn!"

As he spoke, General Fried slapped a card onto his Duel Disk.

At the same moment, among the soldiers, 【Captain Who Breaks Through the Enemy Lines】 received the order, drew his longsword, and sprinted onto the field.

【Captain Who Breaks Through the Enemy Lines】【Attack Power: 1200】

You Tian:???

Wait, is Dueling in the Elven Realm really like this?

Then again, thinking back, in GX, when Banjou fought the Spirit of Chief Zalug, the spirit actually appeared on the field himself…

"Not done yet! When 【Captain Who Breaks Through the Enemy Lines】 is Summoned, I can Special Summon another Spirit of Level 4 or lower from my hand!"

"Come forth, 【Command Knight】!"

The same scene repeated itself.

Among the soldiers, 【Command Knight】, upon receiving the order, leapt onto the field.

【Command Knight】【Original Attack Power: 1200】

"Hehehe! While 【Command Knight】 is on the field, all Warrior-type Spirits on my field gain +400 Attack Power."

【Captain Who Breaks Through the Enemy Lines】【Attack Power: 1200→1600】

【Command Knight】【Attack Power: 1200→1600】

"Wow! The General really is the General—he summoned two Warriors at once!"

"General will win!"

Hearing the praise, General Fried beamed with pride.

Among the soldiers, 【New Elite Female Warrior】 was also beaming with excitement.

"Wow, sis, this is my first time seeing a Duel! Will the General win?"

The girl stared intently at General Fried and You Tian on the field, tugging at the sleeve of the 【Dimensional Female Warrior】 beside her.

The 【Dimensional Female Warrior】 merely smiled faintly.

"No need to worry! The General is a sage beyond our comprehension."

"His strategy rivals that of the saints—no dark appendage can defeat him!"

"And our long-term training has all been for this moment!"

"Our Dimensional Squad is invincible!!"

"Wow!" 【New Elite Female Warrior】 gazed at her sister's cool demeanor, stars in her eyes.

"I'll Set one card, end my turn!"

Hehehe! In my hand, I hold 【Dimensional Female Warrior】, 【Wild Female Warrior】, and 【Reinforcement Unit】; the Set card is 【Dimensional Imprisonment】.

Next turn, no matter what Spirit the opponent Summons, I can use 【Dimensional Imprisonment】 to negate its attack.

Even if he doesn't attack, I can use 【Dimensional Female Warrior】 in my turn to banish his Spirit.

Then, I'll Special Summon 【Wild Female Warrior】 with 【Reinforcement Unit】. My field's total Attack Power will exceed 4000—I'll win in one blow!

Hehehe!

General Fried glared menacingly at You Tian.

My apologies! Everything is exactly as I planned.

"My turn, Draw Phase."

You Tian's gaze dropped to his six hand cards.

Hmm~~~ Perfect hand—the good kind.

"I Set four cards, then activate a Magic Card from my hand: 【Hand Exchange】."

"This card forces both of us to exchange one card each."

General Fried: "What!"

As he spoke, You Tian sauntered smugly up to General Fried.

"You there? Let me see your hand."

General Fried: …

General Fried reluctantly showed his hand to You Tian.

"Oh wow, 【Dimensional Warrior Woman】? Great card! I'll take this one!"

General Fried: "Damn it! You used such a despicable trick to steal one of my warriors!"

【Dimensional Warrior Woman】 off-field: …

"Sister… something doesn't seem right," said the New-Rui Warrior Woman weakly.

"Hmph! You, hand over your hand too—and give me one card!" General Fried snapped.

"Ah~ I know, I know. I've already prepared this card just for you."

Saying this, You Tian handed General Fried his last remaining hand card.

General Fried looked at it: "【Last Words Mask】?"

【Effect: When activated, return this card to the Deck and shuffle. If equipped by the effect of 【Masked Beast Death Guardian】, gain control of the equipped monster.】

General Fried: …

Bastard! This is just a useless card without 【Masked Beast Death Guardian】! How am I supposed to use this?!

Seeing General Fried's grim expression, You Tian nodded in satisfaction, then turned and returned to his position.

"Then, no time to waste. I Summon 【Dimensional Warrior Woman】 in Attack Position—just taken from you."

Saying this, You Tian looked toward 【Dimensional Warrior Woman】 among the crowd, and everyone else turned to look at her too.

【Dimensional Warrior Woman】: …

"Big sister…" the New-Rui Warrior Woman hesitated, words catching in her throat.

"Hmph!" Helpless, 【Dimensional Warrior Woman】 let out a cold snort, then reluctantly marched toward You Tian's field amid the warriors' strange stares.

Oh wow~ So this is what it feels like to have this kind of treatment!

Back in Tongshiyeh, I was just a lowly monster. Now in the Elven Realm, I can even drag elves along with me—this feeling is truly delightful~~

Thinking of this, You Tian licked his lips.

Looks like I can't possibly leave this trip to the Elven Realm without dragging over every one of his monsters!

"Battle! While 【Captain Who Breaks Through the Enemy Line】 is on the field, I cannot attack your other Warrior-type monsters."

"So go—【Dimensional Warrior Woman】! Attack the Captain!"

With the command given, 【Dimensional Warrior Woman】—though reluctant—was forced to charge at the Captain.

【Dimensional Warrior Woman】【Attack Power: 1500】

【Captain Who Breaks Through the Enemy Line】【Attack Power: 1200→1600】

"Though the Warrior Woman's Attack Power is lower than the Captain's, you surely know her effect, right?"

The Warrior Woman's eyes filled with apology: "I'm sorry, Captain! I had no choice!"

General Fried frowned tightly.

"When 【Dimensional Warrior Woman】 battles an opponent's Spirit, she can drag the opponent along into exile. You intend to exile the Captain together with the Warrior Woman!"

You Tian: "Hmph~ Exactly."

"Never!"

"Hmph hmph! Despicable fool, I won't let my great warrior become your subordinate!"

General Fried waved his hand.

"I activate my Trap Card: 【Dimensional Imprisonment】—this card exiles your attacking Spirit!"

The Trap activated; a dimensional rift appeared before the Captain.

"This was all within my plan!"

The Warrior Woman's face lit up with relief. The General truly is the General! She sidestepped and leapt straight into the rift.

"Wow, the General is amazing!" "Long live the General!"

Cheers erupted again across the field.

You Tian nodded slightly—it was 【Dimensional Imprisonment】.

"Then I activate the Magic Card I covered earlier: 【Swords of Revealing Light】."

"This card negates your attacks for three turns."

Instantly, three glowing swords appeared on General Fried's field, surrounding his monsters.

"That's it—I end my turn."

"Hmph!" General Fried snorted again.

"My turn: Draw Phase."

【Warrior Raz】?

General Fried's eyes narrowed again.

Doesn't matter—the Duel had a small hiccup, but it's still within my plan.

Still, he has 【Swords of Revealing Light】 on the field—I can't attack for three turns.

Then I'll use these three turns to build up my Warrior Legion!

"I Summon 【Warrior Raz】 in Attack Position!"

【Warrior Raz】【Attack Power: 1600→2000】

Tap-tap-tap! Raz ran onto the field from the crowd.

"When 【Warrior Raz】 is Summoned, you may choose one Level 4 or lower Spirit from your Deck and place it on top."

"The one I choose is: 【Dimensional Warrior】!"

Sha! Sha!

The 【Dimensional Warrior】 in the crowd turned into a beam of light and flew to the top of General Fried's card field.

"Not over yet!"

"This general will activate a Continuous Spell from my hand: 【Reinforcement Unit】."

"And that ends my turn!"

You Tian nodded.

"My turn, Draw Phase."

Seeing the card he drew, You Tian's lips curled slightly.

"I pay 800 Life Points to activate a Magic Card from my hand: 【Brainwash】."

【You Tian LP: 4000→3200】

"This card allows me to take control of one of your monsters for one turn."

Then, You Tian gazed calmly at General Fried's 【Command Knight】.

"Come on, girl!"

【Command Knight】: …

General Fried: …
