Chapter 68

【Command Knight】: You beast!

I fought a whole turn for you, and you just send me to the Graveyard??

There's no help for it—the Duel rules are absolute; no one can break them.

Thus, the Command Lady entered the Graveyard with a venomous glare, granting You Tian an additional hand card.

"Hmm↑↓ Thank you, Command Lady, for the hand card."

"Then I'll end my turn."

The field fell momentarily silent.

Now, the General held only one card left—this very card, the 【Last Words Mask】, forcibly given to him by the opponent; on the field stood only one spirit, 【Warrior Raaz】; and in the back row, only one useless card: 【Reinforcement Unit】…

Gradually, everyone realized one thing.

The General is going to lose!

Even newcomers unfamiliar with Duels, like 【Newcomer Female Warrior】, could see the General's impending defeat.

At this moment, Fried himself seemed to sense the truth of his impending loss.

I, Fried the Invincible General, am really going to be defeated here by some dark Claw that appeared out of nowhere?!

Fried's body trembled slightly, his beard shaking along with it.

The surrounding soldiers, sensing their General's unease, began whispering among themselves, their expressions growing anxious.

Fried scanned the surroundings.

Damn it—morale is crumbling.

This cannot happen!

The Dimensional Squad cannot fall here! We still have a greater mission!

In Whitebone City, thousands of our comrades are still held captive by the "Ghost Princess"—we cannot stop now!

We must restore morale!

Thinking this, Fried rallied his spirit.

"Soldiers! Don't panic!"

The surrounding soldiers immediately fell silent.

"Everything is within my plan!"

As he spoke, Fried pointed at You Tian.

"No dark Claw can defeat me! In my next turn, I will sound the counterattack horn!"

Upon hearing this, the soldiers' faces lost their earlier fear, replaced instead by trust and excitement.

"Long live the General!" "Dimensional Squad will prevail!" "Push forward! Push forward!"

You Tian watched the soldiers' reaction, feeling as if surrounded by enemies on all sides.

"Hmph!"

Fried exhaled a heavy breath, slowly closed his eyes, and placed his fingers atop the top card of his deck.

"My turn…"

Right now, I hold only one useless card in hand: 【Last Words Mask】. To counterattack, I must draw that card!

"Draw Phase!"

Whether it was an illusion or not, You Tian felt a divine-draw aura emanating from the General.

Fried slowly lifted the drawn card before his eyes.

"Good!"

"I summon 【Head of Kitchen Duty】!"

No sooner had he spoken than 【Infiltrator Captain】 from the Graveyard split into another body, wearing an apron, and leapt onto the field.

【Attack Power: 1200】

"Hmph, dark Claw!" Fried tossed his 【Last Words Mask】 toward You Tian.

"I activate the effect of 【Head of Kitchen Duty】."

"I can return one card from my hand to my deck, then draw one card from it."

"So you're using 【Last Words Mask】 this way?" You Tian murmured thoughtfully.

The Captain's effect resolved: 【Last Words Mask】 returned to You Tian's deck, and Fried drew one card from his own.

Seeing the drawn card, Fried's eyes narrowed slightly.

【Dimensional Fusion】!!! Perfect!

His gaze returned to the field.

With this card, I can bring back my banished warriors!

And that guy's 【Swords of Revealing Light】 has only one turn left.

After next turn, my army of warriors will crush him outright!

"Hnhnhn!" Fried glared menacingly at You Tian.

"I end my turn!"

You Tian gave a slight nod.

It seems the General drew a good card.

"My turn. Draw Phase."

"I activate the effect of 【Dark Production Factory】: I send 【Three-Eyed Monster】 from my hand to the Graveyard, then draw one card from my deck."

"Draw Phase!"

Ohhh~

Seeing the card he drew, You Tian couldn't help raising an eyebrow.

My luck isn't bad either~

"Not over yet—when this card, 【Three-Eyed Monster】, is sent to the Graveyard, I can add one monster with 1500 or less Attack Power from my Deck to my hand."

"I'll add this 【Giant Rat】 from my Deck to my hand."

"Next, I'll Summon this card in Attack Position."

Hum~

As You Tian slapped the 【Giant Rat】 onto the Duel Disk, the projection of the overworked rat instantly appeared in the center of the field.

【Attack Power: 1400】

You Tian nodded.

So, normal monster cards work in the Elven Realm too.

He turned his gaze again to Fried's 【Chef and Housekeeper Captain】 and 【Warrior Ra】.

"If I attack, you'll still be able to activate 【Reinforcement Unit】 to Special Summon a new warrior from your hand, right?"

"Then I won't attack~"

"I'll Set one card, and that ends my turn."

Then it was Fried's turn again.

"Hmph hmph hmph!"

Seeing You Tian end his turn so simply, Fried let out another cold snort.

This guy's offense is gone!

The 【Giant Rat】's Attack Power is higher than the 【Chef and Housekeeper Captain】, and I don't even have any warrior-type monsters in my hand.

He actually wasted a chance to attack!

Good, good, good! Since you won't attack, don't blame the General!

"My Draw Phase!"

Phew~

Fried's pupils shrank as he looked at the card he just drew.

"Warriors! The final battle has come!"

"I activate this card from my hand—【Dimensional Fusion】!"

You Tian: Damn, you've got this ancient banned card in your Deck?!

Fried: "By paying 2000 Life Points, return to the field once more, warriors!"

【Fried LP: 3600→1600】

【Dimensional Fusion】 activated successfully. In the center of the duel field, several distortions of space began to appear.

Slowly, the figures of the warriors previously banished to another dimension emerged from the distortions.

【Dimensional Female Warrior】, 【Dimensional Warrior】, and 【Wild Female Warrior】 returned to Fried's field.

Fried's monster zone was instantly filled with fiercely determined warriors.

【Dimensional Female Warrior】 【Attack Power: 1500】

【Dimensional Warrior】 【Attack Power: 1200】

【Wild Female Warrior】 【Attack Power: 1100】

【Warrior Ra】 【Attack Power: 1600】

【Chef and Housekeeper Captain】 【Attack Power: 1200】

"Invincible! Unbeatable!" "Invincible! Unbeatable!" "Invincible! Unbeatable!" The surrounding warriors couldn't help shouting.

"Aaaah! Big Sis!"

Below the stage, 【Newly Emerging Female Warrior】, seeing her big sister return to the field, screamed in excitement again.

【Dimensional Female Warrior】 merely turned her head slightly, smiled gently at the girl, then turned back, her face filled with reverence toward Fried.

"General, as always, you planned this all along!!"

"You must have already been thinking of using 【Dimensional Fusion】 to bring us back the moment that guy sent us to another dimension!"

Fried stroked his beard, beaming with pride.

"Naturally!"

……bullshit!

If I hadn't drawn 【Dimensional Fusion】 by sheer luck, I'd have lost right now!

But before his subordinates, Fried could only maintain the façade of "everything was under control."

"Everything was within the General's plan!"

"Moreover!"

Fried pulled out his last remaining card from his hand.

"I will Tribute 【Chef and Housekeeper Captain】 to Summon my higher-level self!"

"What! Is the General going to take the field himself?!"

"Invincible! Unbeatable!" "Invincible! Unbeatable!" "Invincible! Unbeatable!" The warriors' shouts grew louder.

Fried thoroughly enjoyed this feeling of being surrounded.

His face cold, he stared at You Tian; the other four warriors on the field also glared at him with fury.

Fried: "Hmph! You've been mocking my warriors this whole time, haven't you!"

"Now, my army of warriors is finally assembled!"

"Go ahead—keep mocking me if you dare!"

"This turn, your 【Swords of Revealing Light】 will vanish completely!"

"Next turn will be your death! Hahaha!"

"Everything is within this general's plan!"

"End of turn!"

As the words "end of turn" were spoken, You Tian's 【Swords of Revealing Light】 finally dispersed and vanished.

Yet, in the next instant!

Several warriors suddenly felt the world spin wildly.

When they regained their senses, five of them had inexplicably appeared on You Tian's field!

"Nani!"

"What's going on?"

General Fried stared at You Tian in disbelief.

What is this!? Can Duel Disks now capture spirits during a Duel!?

Meanwhile, You Tian simply revealed a brilliant smile.

Before him, two face-down cards had already flipped open.

【Sin Offering】, 【Hero Swap】.

"【Sin Offering】 will Summon four Sheep Tokens onto my field. Combined with the 【Giant Rat】, I now have five monsters."

"【Hero Swap】 will exchange control of monsters when both sides have an equal number."

"So, just now, I've taken control of all five of you!"

General Fried:...

Four men:...

Other warriors:...

The four warriors silently turned their heads and all looked toward General Fried.

"General, is this also part of the plan?"
