Chapter 64: Lip Print

~8 min read 1,477 words

Walking into the courtyard, Zhou Yinhe was about to go to the parking lot to drive; his car had only been permitted to enter yesterday.

Because he parked his car askew at the entrance, blocking Aunt Zhou and the cooks from going out to shop.

Wen Ling suddenly called out to him; as Zhou Yinhe turned, he felt a bit nervous, thinking Wen Ling wouldn't let him go, but unexpectedly she stepped forward a few steps and left a lip print on his cheek.

Just as she was about to leave, how could Zhou Yinhe let her go? He firmly gripped the back of her head with his palm, and his kiss came like a sudden storm, carrying an irresistible aggressiveness.

The lipstick smeared across her lips; Wen Ling gave a muffled hum, her lips feeling a slight sting from his sucking, yet she obediently reached out, hooking her arms around his neck, her slender body pressing against him.

Pressed tightly together, Wen Ling sensed his reaction as well as her own, feeling that continuing the kiss would make them not want to go out, so she raised her hand and ruffled his hair.

"Enough." Her voice was somewhat soft, yet to Zhou Yinhe's ears it sounded sweet and sticky like honey; he lowered his eyes to look at her, unable to resist the urge to lean in closer.

Wen Ling gently pushed him, her eyes alluring like silk, and coquettishly said, "Go drive."

Zhou Yinhe didn't move, his arm hooked around her slender waist, and in a hoarse voice he said, "How about we don't go?"

"If you don't want to go, you don't have to, but I've promised someone, so I definitely have to go." Wen Ling blinked, her slender, fair finger lightly tapping his chest, and she said leisurely, "Don't push your luck."

Zhou Yinhe pursed his lips, still stained with Wen Ling's lipstick, and had no choice but to suppress that hidden thought, turning to go drive.

After getting in the car, Wen Ling took out lipstick and a small mirror from her bag to reapply her lipstick, then glanced sideways at Zhou Yinhe, who was driving in silence.

On his pale skin sat a red lip print, the area around his thin lips blurred with a light red tint—no matter how you looked, it seemed as if he had just been indulging with a woman.

Arriving at the restaurant, Wen Ling grabbed Zhou Yinhe as he tried to get out of the car, and while wiping his face with a wet wipe, she said, "You did that on purpose, didn't you?"

Zhou Yinhe let her wipe his face; hearing her words, he couldn't help a soft laugh, lowering his gaze to the face he had longed for, now within reach, his fingers twitched as he suppressed the urge to draw near again.

After Wen Ling finished wiping, the two got out of the car and had lunch at a Western restaurant near the clear bar.

After finishing, Zhou Yinhe handed the card to the waiter and told Wen Ling, "I'll see you off."

Wen Ling raised an eyebrow and nodded.

When they arrived at the clear bar, Chu Yao hadn't arrived yet, so Wen Ling sat in the car, holding a mirror to touch up her makeup; Zhou Yinhe leaned over the steering wheel watching her, Wen Ling glanced at him sideways, hooked his chin with her finger, and chuckled, "What are you doing?"

Zhou Yinhe kissed her fingers and shook his head.

When Chu Yao arrived, Wen Ling's makeup was also finished; before getting out of the car, Wen Ling suddenly reached out and pulled Zhou Yinhe over, placing a fresh kiss on his cheek with her red lips, and thoughtfully said, "This time you don't have to wipe it off if you don't want to."

She stepped back a little, her tone smiling: "Really pretty." She was like a flowery socialite wandering through wind-and-moon locales, her expressions and movements especially frivolous.

Zhou Yinhe pursed his lips, took hold of her, and whispered, "When you're done, tell me and I'll come pick you up, okay?"

Wen Ling blinked, curled her lips, and said, "That works too."

Only then did Zhou Yinhe release his hold; Wen Ling got out of the car and waved at him through the window.

He curled his lip, lowered the window, and said to her, "Don't forget to tell me."

"I know." Wen Ling tossed out three words, turned and walked away; Zhou Yinhe stood there for a long while before starting the car and driving off.

He didn't want to go far, so he drove straight to his cousin's nearby company.

The company's staff were all very familiar with him, knowing he was the boss's cousin, the most noble and precious young master of the Zhou family, and they greeted him respectfully.

"No need to attend to me, I'll go up myself." Zhou Yinhe casually tossed that line at the front desk attendant who was about to lead him upstairs, then turned and took the CEO's exclusive elevator.

The front desk attendant's cheeks were red enough to smoke; after returning to the front desk, she poked her colleague's arm and whispered excitedly, "Did you see Fifth Young Master's lip print? My goodness, that face with that lip print is simply explosive with desire!"

"I saw, I saw," her colleague trembled with excitement, "My goodness, I only knew Fifth Young Master was pursuing someone, but I didn't expect things to move this fast."

They had all seen the recent hot searches about Fifth Young Master; after his clarification, he publicly said he was still pursuing the person he liked, and indeed no one expected that just a few days later he would show up with a lip print.

At that moment, Zhou Jingyuan was slacking off in his office; he had been busy since morning and still hadn't eaten lunch, so while waiting for the lifestyle secretary to bring his meal, he lit a cigarette and glanced at his phone for a while.

Hearing the knock, he assumed it was the secretary entering, and without looking up he casually said, "Just put it on that table over there."

Zhou Yinhe frowned, standing not far away; the smoke drifted over and made him cough twice, whereupon Zhou Jingyuan finally noticed him, hurriedly stubbed out the cigarette, waved away the lingering smoke in the air, and turned on the air purifier.

Zhou Jingyuan, feeling a bit guilty, asked, "How did you suddenly come here?"

"Do Uncle and Aunt know you smoke?" Zhou Yinhe walked over to the sofa and sat down; the secretary who had come in, suppressing a smile, placed the coffee from the tray in front of Zhou Yinhe.

Zhou Jingyuan gave the secretary a look; she then turned and walked out of the office, thoughtfully closing the door behind her.

Zhou Yinhe covered his nose and looked at him; Zhou Jingyuan saw the lip print on his face and changed the subject: "You're not going to wipe off that lip print either?"

"Don't change the subject." Zhou Yinhe wasn't fooled, and said lightly, "Uncle and Aunt probably still don't know you smoke."

In Zhou Jingyuan's maternal grandfather's family, a relative died young of lung cancer; his parents were shocked and thus began forbidding him from smoking.

"I told them that person didn't die because of smoking; they're just overreacting." Zhou Jingyuan furrowed his brows and suggested, "Just tell me straight—how can I avoid letting Uncle and Aunt know?"

"Let's put it on tab for now; we'll settle it later." Zhou Yinhe then lowered his hand from his nose, leisurely lifted the coffee, and took a sip.

Zhou Jingyuan's gums itched with anger, but since he now needed a favor, he snapped resentfully, "Look at that lip print on your face—you're not afraid of being stared at?"

Zhou Yinhe picked up his phone and took a picture; the lip print was very clear, the lip texture distinct—obviously the result of a kiss.

He took a photo of himself and casually posted it to his Moments, then said to Zhou Jingyuan, "So what? Are you jealous?"

"Ha," Zhou Jingyuan could hardly believe he could say such a thing, gritted his teeth and retorted, "Jealous that you're a simp?"

Zhou Yinhe couldn't be bothered with him and called his older brother's wife.

Shang Zhiyu was at Feng Qi Yuan accompanying her mother-in-law in flower arranging; seeing the caller ID, she was a bit surprised, handed the phone to her mother-in-law for a glance, and chuckled, "Xiao Wu never calls me out of the blue—no one goes to the Three Treasures Hall without a reason."

Ning Qing glanced at her phone, still not appeased, and said coldly, "Answer it, let's see what mischief my precious little son is up to."
