Chapter 65

~7 min read 1,363 words

Shang Zhiyu smiled as he answered the phone, seeing his mother approach, he had no choice but to turn on the speaker, speaking gently: "Xiao Wu, what's the matter?"

Zhou Jingyuan stood not far from Zhou Yinhe, frowning at him, truly not understanding his behavior.

Zhou Yinhe never beat around the bush with family, and without politeness directly asked: "Elder sister-in-law, where do you buy all your lipstick?"

Zhou Jingyuan understood, somewhat speechless, he turned sideways, pulled out his phone, and secretly sent a message to his great-aunt.

Ning Qing heard Zhou Yinhe's words, frowned, not quite understanding, then heard her phone on the round table buzz, she glanced at it, saw it was a message from her nephew, and the message content appeared in the pop-up on the phone screen.

【Paternal aunt, look at Xiao Wu's friend circle.】

She doubtfully opened her son's friend circle, then discovered the photo her son had posted, although there was no caption, thinking of her son's recent words, she felt a tightness in her chest, almost unable to breathe.

She handed the phone to Shang Zhiyu to glance at; Shang Zhiyu almost couldn't hold back his laughter, and said to Zhou Yinhe: "If you're not in a hurry, sister-in-law can order from abroad for you; if you're in a hurry, there are a few brand stores on the third floor of our mall you can check out, mainly because I haven't met Miss Wen, so I don't know what suits her, and can't give you detailed recommendations."

"Got it, thank you, elder sister-in-law." Zhou Yinhe said, then hung up, grabbed a paper to wipe his face while picking up his car keys and heading out.

Zhou Jingyuan shouted at him: "What are you doing going?"

Zhou Yinhe ignored him.

The mall wasn't far; Zhou Yinhe drove there in a short while, the security guard at the entrance saw him and promptly called the manager to report.

Zhou Yinhe didn't notice his small gesture, took the elevator straight to the third floor the sister-in-law had mentioned.

His slightly curled red hair already made him noticeable, plus his pale white skin and delicate features, broad shoulders and narrow waist—a perfect male model figure; the shop assistants, who regularly saw the young masters and misses of Sijiucheng, couldn't help but be stunned.

A slightly older shop assistant stepped forward, wearing a gentle smile, asking what he needed; he glanced around the store, and the complex makeup products made him frown.

He knew nothing about these; his skincare, hair gel, perfume, and such were always bought by his living assistant, and since he never had to worry about them, he never took the initiative to learn.

He had no choice but to hand the paper, which he had been holding and had wiped his lips on, to the shop assistant, and said lightly: "Do you have this shade of lipstick?"

The shop assistant glanced at it, smiling: "Yes, this is one of our brand's hot-selling series."

Zhou Yinhe let out an "oh", his distinct-knuckled fingers kneading the tissue, and said calmly: "I want all the hot-selling shades, prepare seven sets; I'll take one set now, and give you the address for the other six sets to have them delivered."

Not knowing them didn't mean he didn't understand what hot-selling meant; since they sell well, there shouldn't be any problem.

Upon hearing this, the shop assistant's eyes lit up; she struggled not to show her excitement, and continued: "All right, sir, do you need anything else? Like eyeshadow, eyeliner, foundation, highlighter, blush, etc."

The more Zhou Yinhe listened, the tighter his brow furrowed, yet he still grunted: "I want all the hot-selling colors, also seven sets."

"All right, sir, I'll prepare it now." The shop assistant turned and hurried off, even dragging two other shop assistants to help.

Their exchange lasted only a few minutes; the manager, fearing these people might offend the young master, hurriedly trotted to the third floor, stood at the door, caught his breath, then dared approach Zhou Yinhe respectfully: "Young master."

Zhou Yinhe sat on the sofa, legs crossed, looking down at his phone, afraid of missing a message from Wen Ling.

The photo he had just posted in his friend circle got over a hundred likes in no time, with teasing comments coming one after another.

He didn't reply at all; the screen stayed on Wen Ling's chat page, and upon hearing the manager's voice, he lazily lifted his eyes for a glance.

"Young master, tell me what you need, and I'll arrange for someone to deliver it to your home." The manager smiled obsequiously; Zhou Yinhe grunted, withdrew his gaze, and the manager could only stand awkwardly to the side.

The other shop assistants found the manager's behavior somewhat strange, only learning his identity at checkout.

Zhou Yinhe handed the card to the shop assistant; the manager at the side said: "Young master, you can directly use the public account."

"Not needed." What's the public account for sending to family members? He ordered: "Send one set to my elder sister's company, one set to my second uncle's home, and the rest to Feng Qi Yuan."

The manager repeatedly agreed: "Okay, okay."

He personally sent Zhou Yinhe to the parking lot, bent over to open the car door for Zhou Yinhe, finally smiling as he saw off this great Buddha, then he breathed a sigh of relief.

Zhou Yinhe felt the time was about right, so he didn't wander around, directly parked the car in the lot below the bar, leaned on the steering wheel and looked through the window at the bar's location.

Wen Ling entered the bar, Chu Yao was sitting at the booth by the floor-to-ceiling window waving at her, beside her sat a pretty and cute girl, whose eyes sparkled as she looked at Wen Ling; Wen Ling nodded at them, and softly said to the bartender who was mixing drinks: "Come over in a moment."

The bartender replied okay, Wen Ling stepped over to Chu Yao's side, and when she sat opposite them she saw that both of their drinks had only a little less than half left, and she chuckled: "I only delayed a moment, and you've already drunk that much?"

Chu Yao blinked, leaned forward toward Wen Ling, and whispered gossip: "Was it the Zhou Family's Fifth Young Master who just brought you here?"

Wen Ling crossed her legs, her slender arms resting on her legs to support her chin, her beautiful eyes gleaming, the corners of her mouth slightly raised without denying.

Chu Yao excitedly clapped her hands, and said to the girl beside her: "See, I told you that car was his."

Fu Huahua sat up straight, a little shyly extending her hand to Wen Ling: "Hello, I'm Fu Huahua, Chu Yao's best friend."

"Hello." Wen Ling reached out and gently held her fingertip, praising: "You're so cute."

"Ah!" Fu Huahua covered her face and let out a tiny scream, her cheeks flushed as if they might evaporate at any moment, she dared not look directly into Wen Ling's eyes, her gaze wandering as she whispered softly: "Thank you, you too."

Chu Yao rolled her eyes at Fu Huahua, then said to Wen Ling: "Ignore her, she just likes pretty older sisters."

Wen Ling drew out an "oh", her brows and eyes curved as she looked at the two of them.

"She grew up with me, she's considered a distant relative of my family, the Fu Bank is her family's."

Wen Ling had just felt her name sounded familiar; upon hearing that, she lowered her gaze and thought for a long time before recalling, then asked Fu Huahua: "Is your brother Fu Yao?"

"Yes, yes, have you seen my brother?" Fu Huahua nodded vigorously.

Wen Ling shook her head: "I haven't seen him, but I've heard of him."

Fu Huahua pouted a little disappointedly, "Well," she had thought Wen Ling had seen her brother, so they could have found something to talk about.

The bartender brought the drinks over, placed them in front of Wen Ling, and also put a black USB drive on the tray.
