Chapter 1497: Brown Creek City

Night Road

The old man was stunned. He didn’t expect to hear such disrespect.

He once again saw through the strength of the young man. He confirmed that the young man was a Gold Mark Warrior.

"Kill this b@stard," the old man uttered in a cold tone.

Hearing that, three Gold Mark Warriors rushed towards me.

Seeing that the three of them were coming from different directions, I smiled.

I didn’t evade; instead, I used my perception and eye power to scan the three warriors. They hadn’t used their elemental attacks.

They thought they would injure me with brute strength. When one of them raised his fist to attack me,

The next second, I used my right leg to sweep at the back of the warrior. In a flash, the leg’s force connected with the body of the warrior.

The Gold Warrior felt the impact force from behind. His body rocketed forward before landing on the ground.

The landing was hard. It was a crashing hit. Right then, I darted out to attack the others. My right hand snapped out.

In a flash, my fist smashed the heads of the other two Gold Mark Warriors.

Their heads cracked open. A torrent of blood gushed forth from their heads while their bodies landed on the ground.

This all happened within a minute. All three of them were deeply injured.

Seeing that, the faces of the Purple Mark Guards changed drastically. The old man couldn’t believe the Gold Mark Warriors were down.

The next second, he rushed forward to attack. His right hand was covered in raging crimson flames.

An arc of flames released from his right hand. It was directed at me. I could feel the immense pressure from the red flames.

But it was nothing compared to what I had faced in the warrior camp.

I used my perception and eye power to evade the flame attack. The next second, I covered my right hand in purple lightning force and shock force.

The old man was shocked. He didn’t expect to miss the target. But he had experience. He used his left hand to block the attack.

But he underestimated the power of the young man.

In a flash, my right fist came into contact with the old man’s left palm. He blocked it upon contact.

Right then, the smile on the old man’s face was gone.

A deafening noise sounded as the inheritance powers overwhelmed him and tore through his left hand.

The old man’s left hand tendons snapped. The flesh and bones broke. His whole left arm was ruined in a flash.

The old man was stunned by the injury and stood petrified on the spot. Seeing that, I used the opportunity to close in and punch his chest.

The next second, his chest caved in. The old man’s body flew backward like a broken kite.

He then dropped onto the ground with a heavy crash. The next second, I appeared at the crash site.

My gaze fell on the old man, who was unconscious. I saw the black ring worn by the old man. I crouched down to pick up the ring.

Then I returned to the truck. I hadn’t killed them, but they were severely injured. It would take a long time for them to recover.

The damage was enough for them. I sat down in my seat. The old driver was still recovering from his shock.

Because he had seen something unbelievable. The young man had fought against Gold Mark Warriors and a Purple Mark Warrior.

Not only did he defeat them with ease, but he seriously injured them as well.

"Old man, you can start driving the truck," I said to the old man.

The old man then recovered his thoughts. He looked at the young man with respect.

Then he started driving the vehicle. The flying truck resumed the journey. I started observing the place. I saw the passing scenery through the window.

The truck reached the destination. It entered the city. Brown Creek City is one of the famous cities located at the edge.

At the city gate entrance, the truck was stopped. The guards at the gate came forward to inspect the vehicle.

Their eyes flashed with surprise. They knew about the recent robbery incidents. Many of the vehicles had been robbed.

So they were surprised to see a truck loaded with goods right now. They inspected the goods. Then they saw the ID.

Knowing that the truck was coming from Star City, they allowed the vehicle to enter.

On the other hand, I didn’t show any badge. The guards only inquired with the old man. The truck then entered the city through the gate.

"Young Master, where do you want to go?" the old man asked.

"Just stop the truck at the end of the street," I told him.

The old man agreed. When the truck reached the end of the street, he stopped the vehicle. I stepped outside and thanked the old man once again.

When the truck left the place, I started looking around. Then I went to the nearest inn. It was a three-story building. I walked into the inn and approached the front desk.

The inn owner was sitting behind the desk. I needed a room, so I started negotiating the price. The inn owner charged 40 credit points per day.

In the end, the deal was made for 35 credit points. Then I paid a few points for the next few days. After paying the amount, I got the room keys.

A staff member took me to the second floor. The room was located at the very end. We came to the room. The staff member used the key to open the door.

She started showing me around. The room was simple with minimal decor. The staff member then gave me the key before leaving.

I shut the door. Then I used my perception to check the room. I didn’t find anything wrong. Then I rested there.
