Chapter 2254 - 2263: She’s the One Who Will Cry
Then he patted his daughter’s small head again, "From now on she truly is your Sister Jane, you should call her Cousin Jane."
The little lass’s eyes lit up, and she chirped, "Sister!"
She didn’t even bother with ’Cousin’, just directly called out ’Sister’.
Following that, she hugged Jane Sampson’s leg, looking up at Jane Sampson, "Sister, the small cookies you make are really delicious, you know? Last night, I even dreamed about you making small cookies."
"You greedy little lass!" Jane Sampson couldn’t resist being charmed by the little lass, "Auntie will make you small cookies in the afternoon, and once they’re ready, I’ll send them to you."
"Thank you, Sister, you are the best cousin!" The little lass jumped for joy, turning her head to see James Black walking over step by step. The little lass thought about it, finally recognizing this familiar uncle and exclaimed, "Hello, Brother-in-law!"
This cute and charming ’cousin’ call made James Black happy too.
James Black’s gaze softened considerably, he nodded, made a sound of acknowledgment, and praised her, "Good girl."
Because the little lass was there, Jane Sampson’s morning run turned into a morning stroll with the little lass.
The kid had to go to class, so at 6:30, Shirley Young took her daughter home first.
After saying goodbye several times to the little lass, and watching her leave, Jane Sampson also lifted her steps to go back.
However, she had only taken a couple of steps before her hand was grabbed by James Black.
"Where are you going?" James Black asked.
"Morning exercise is over, going home~" Jane Sampson said openly, "It’s already 6:30, time to go home for breakfast."
"Did you have fun slacking off this morning?" James Black pulled her back, "You think that’s a beautiful idea."
Accompanying the little lass for a walk for a while, then sitting nearby and playing games with her.
The little lass happily returned home, and she thought she could just go home like that?
"What’s the problem?" Jane Sampson snorted, "It’s been more than half an hour, and we’ve walked around the runway once, it’s time to go home."
"Morning exercise content is jogging, not strolling," James Black said, "Three laps, not one less, when we’re done I’ll take you to the community entrance for breakfast."
"You’re a devil, James Black!" Jane Sampson was not pleased, "I’ve already walked a big circle, why should I run two more laps? This is beyond the training scope you set for me, isn’t it? You can’t underestimate strolling, completing a lap is quite energy-consuming too!"
"Then today I’ll reduce one lap for you, that still leaves two laps." James Black patted Jane Sampson’s waist, "Don’t just stand still, follow my steps and start running."
Jane Sampson stood there, "Can I refuse?"
Seeing James Black ignoring her, she tried negotiating, "How about just one lap? One lap!"
"No negotiations." James Black responded coldly to Jane Sampson, and then took her hand and started running.
Jane Sampson had no choice but to start moving her legs as James Black pulled her along.
Looking at the runway, her heart was filled with despair.
Looking over at James Black running beside her, still teaching her how to breathe, she gave a sarcastic laugh for James Black to hear, then sprinted forward at full speed.
She kept going until she ran out of energy, bending over to pant like a dog, then slowly turned to look at James Black lagging behind. When he was about to catch up, Jane Sampson had caught her breath and once again sped up to sprint away, running like the wind, leaving him far behind once more.
