Chapter 662 - 670: I will follow her
Rock Bell brought chairs for the two of them and began speaking to Jane Sampson about her work in City S, "The folks at JK Company think highly of your insight. The photographer explains things to you once, and you can almost immediately produce the feeling they want. JK rates you very highly, saying you’re on par with Mandy Forest and Lotus."
"They really said that? Well, that puts my mind at ease. I was worried I’d be completely outclassed by Mandy and Lotus and be destroyed in a matter of seconds." Whether it was just to comfort her or not, the fact that Rock Bell was saying these things meant that Jane Sampson wasn’t performing poorly, so she truly breathed a sigh of relief.
This was her first major endorsement deal, and it was very important to her. She took it very seriously, so she really did put forth her utmost effort while working.
In order to maintain the best condition for work every day, she would go to bed around ten o’clock or eleven each night to get plenty of rest, and during those days, she even cut down on playing games on her mobile phone.
"The footage from JK will officially be released in the next two days, so whether it’s true or not, you’ll know once you see it for yourself, right? By the way, I heard there was a minor incident with the staff during filming. Was it someone you recommended? What was her name, Mona Calm? How do you know her?" Since Jane Sampson was a true newcomer in this circle, Rock Bell, playing the role of an elder aunt, couldn’t help but ask a couple more questions.
"I met her on Director Wilson’s film crew. She’s a really good person," Jane explained. "Last time when someone threw away my fruits, she was there to comfort me. She’s quite young, but takes her work very seriously and responsibly. Plus, she happened to be in City S, and it was such a good opportunity that I thought of her."
"Yeah, in this circle, it’s okay to make a few friends, but you have to choose wisely," Rock Bell said. "Those superficial plastic sisters are just a waste; better to not have them at all."
Jane obediently sat there listening, nodding or humming in agreement with whatever Rock said. She always felt that her agent went above and beyond for her.
"Do I need to accompany you to the premiere in Smytheton? If need be, I’ll push back company matters and go with you to Smytheton first." Originally, Rock Bell was supposed to go with Jane to the JK endorsement in City S, but because Daniel Taylor had surgery, Rock didn’t go.
Although Jane is a newcomer, she causes Rock Bell much less worry than the other artists she manages.
"I will accompany her," James Black suddenly said, breaking his silence. "So there’s no need for you to go."
Rock Bell’s gaze held a hint of surprise, but she didn’t show it too obviously.
This was somewhat unexpected.
So, the reason James Black had been inquiring about Jane’s schedule these past few days was this.
It wasn’t just because as a husband he wanted to be fully aware of his wife’s schedule; it was also because he planned to go with Jane to Smytheton.
"That works. With you there to keep an eye on her, I’m at ease. I won’t need to go," Rock Bell said upon seeing Jane secretly huffing at James, and she couldn’t help but chuckle softly.
Jane seemed to have quite a few reservations about James accompanying her.
"I haven’t lined up any other work for you temporarily. Currently, there are two scripts in my office for you to choose from. Once you’re back, take a look and select one," Rock Bell continued, pausing for a moment and smiling at Jane.
