Chapter 891 - 899: Who called my sister?

"Mom," Jane Sampson said in a hushed voice as she addressed Mother Sampton across from her, "you wanted to see me, what’s the matter?"

"Jane, there’s an urgent matter at home; you need to come back right away," Mother Sampton’s voice was filled with urgency, and upon closer listening, there was also a hint of anger, "Bright Sampton is going to turn the world upside down!"

After hanging up the phone, Jane Sampson quickly grabbed her purse and car key, and hurried down the building.

Once she was in the car, she then remembered that maybe she should give Bright Sampton a call first to ask about the situation.

With this thought, Jane Sampson swiftly took out her mobile phone and dialed Bright Sampton’s number.

Luckily, after a few rings, the call was picked up.

On the other end, Bright Sampton’s voice was somewhat hoarse as he called out to her, "Sister, what’s wrong?"

Jane Sampson hadn’t finished speaking when she heard Father Sampton’s roar through the phone.

Jane Sampson had not fully heard what Father Sampton was saying when the call abruptly ended.

When Jane Sampson tried to call back, the phone was already switched off.

Although she had only heard a few short sentences, Jane Sampson could really tell that Father Sampton was truly angry; his temper was even worse than last time.

Jane Sampson put away her mobile phone without further delay and quickly started the car to leave the guard team.

She didn’t know why Bright Sampton would suddenly start arguing with the family; the thing she feared most was that Bright Sampton was arguing with the parents because of her.

Her mind preoccupied with Bright Sampton’s matter, Jane Sampson drove faster than usual. Fortunately, the road was clear all the way, without any traffic jams, and she actually reached the Sampton Family home in one hour.

She hadn’t even entered the door when she could already hear the sound of arguing inside. The fact that it had been going on from the time she left until now showed just how intense the argument was.

"Bright!" Jane Sampson took off her shoes and, without even the time to put on slippers, ran barefoot toward Bright Sampton, who was in the middle of shouting at Father Sampton. Seeing Father Sampton raising his hand to hit Bright, Jane quickly pulled Bright behind her to shield him, causing Father Sampton’s slap to miss its mark.

"Sister, why did you come back?" Although Bright Sampton had received a call from Jane Sampson, he hadn’t clearly heard what she said over the phone because he was arguing with Father Sampton. So, when he suddenly saw Jane Sampson coming back, he was surprised.

Jane Sampson saw the fragments of Bright Sampton’s mobile phone on the ground level and immediately understood why Bright’s phone had been unreachable; it looked like Father Sampton had smashed it.

Bright Sampton scanned the people in the living room and asked coldly, "Who called my sister? This is my own matter, what does it have to do with my sister!"
