Chapter 485: Slit-Mouthed Woman

Chen Fan did not expect that serving as an observer on a dating variety show would be so boring.

Watching ordinary people fall in love was one thing, but the production team had even provided a script.

This completely restricted Chen Fan's room for improvisation.

As a result, the audience began to feel that something was off with Chen Fan.

"Chen Fan isn't like that on the show; he usually comes up with golden quotes constantly. What he's saying today is far too normal."

"Yes, yes, it's not interesting at all. I came specifically to watch Chen Fan, and now it's really dull."

"Let's go, let's go. What's the point of watching a bunch of ordinary people fall in love? If we could watch Chen Fan fall in love, that would be truly explosive, okay?"

Although these viewers, who had come specifically to watch Chen Fan, were leaving in disgust, the number of live viewers in the production team's stream continued to rise.

This was several times higher than when Chen Fan was not present.

The producer was overjoyed.

During the break, Chen Fan left the recording site, wanting to find out why the director had taken a group of staff members away from the scene.

Just as he stepped out the door.

Chen Fan encountered the director, who wore an anxious expression. 25

"Director, what's wrong?"

The director had initially hesitated and did not want to say anything, but considering Chen Fan's identity as a forensic pathologist, he thought it might be of some help.

So he recounted the cause and effect.

It turned out that one guest was missing from the production team today, but to avoid delaying the broadcast, the director had the program proceed as normal.

He sent the staff out to search.

Unexpectedly, the staff not only failed to find the guest but even lost contact with them.

The staff could only turn to the director for help, and the director had taken a group of people out to search for this guest.

They had been searching for nearly two hours and still had not found the person.

The director had originally not wanted to call the police.

Once an incident occurred on the program, it would definitely be shut down.

After hearing these words.

Chen Fan said, "Have you contacted his agent, or relatives and family members?"

The director nodded and said, "We contacted them at the beginning; they all said they couldn't find him."

Chen Fan said decisively, "Then don't just stand here in a daze; call the police immediately."

Since Chen Fan said so, the director also felt that even if nothing had happened before, something would happen now.

So he called the police immediately.

When the police arrived, they inspected the room where the guest had stayed, as well as everyone who had come into contact with the guest.

Just at this moment.

Li Tian also received another report.

Someone had discovered a corpse in a wasteland.

Moreover, the location of the report happened to be right next to the dating show's recording site.

The crime scene.

The dating show program had been temporarily halted.

The audience did not understand and speculated wildly on the internet.

The police also cordoned off the crime scene, waiting for the forensic pathologist and Li Tian and the others to arrive.

As the only forensic pathologist at the scene, Chen Fan conducted an inspection immediately.

And not long after.

Old Liu and Old Song and the others also arrived at the crime scene.

The viewers, who were new to the workplace, were stunned.

"I was wondering what Chen Fan went to do; it turns out he was participating in a dating show. Meeting a murder case while on a dating show can only be said to be fate."

"I told you Chen Fan is the Grim Reaper; wherever he goes, there is a murder case."

"I beg you all, accumulate some virtue; Chen Fan definitely didn't want this."

Old Liu stepped across the police line.

Chen Fan's inspection had yielded some results, and he said, "The deceased is a female."

"The body is incomplete; there are signs of dismemberment, cut in half at the waist from the navel."

"..."

Hearing Chen Fan speak, Old Liu called Chen Fan's apprentice, Liu Mengyan, who was not far away, over.

This apprentice still needed to be mentored.

"Whatever your Master says, you record exactly that."

Old Liu instructed.

Liu Mengyan nodded seriously and took out paper and pen to record.

For the sake of the audience, the cameraman did not point the lens at the corpse.

Everyone could only imagine the condition of the body through Chen Fan's verbal description.

"Oh my god, the body was cut in half? What kind of grudge must that be!"

"Could this be another psychopathic killer?"

"Who knows? But can the cameraman point the lens a bit lower? I want to see!"

"No, no, no, I don't want to see. I think the production team should release a pure version and a corpse version to satisfy two different types of people."

Chen Fan said, "The deceased's face is turned upward, arms raised, elbows bent, legs stretched straight out."

"The angle of separation is at least sixty degrees."

"The two parts of the corpse are placed facing each other, with a gap of about fifty centimeters in between."

"..."

"So cruel! It must be a psychopathic killer!"

"I know this person; he's a has-been celebrity. Could it be that he offended someone?"

"I'm not sure, but this way of dying is truly terrifying! Fortunately, it's daytime; if it were night, I definitely wouldn't dare to look."

Liu Mengyan recorded each detail one by one.
