Chapter 18: Spider-Man Wraps! Teaser Trailer Released!

"No, I can't... I will always be your best friend."

"Just friends?"

"I can only give you this much... you understand."

"He made you promise... so I would be safer, right?"

After the funeral of Officer George Stacy, the weather arrived quite fittingly, drizzling with light rain.

Gwen Stacy held an umbrella, her eyes brimming with tears as she gazed at Peter.

Mark Webb remarked with emotion:

"I hope the film succeeds, and then we can continue collaborating on the sequel."

"Let's hope so!"

Xu Can and Mark Webb shook hands and shared a smile, after which the director was pulled away by other actors to celebrate.

Emma Stone quietly approached Xu Can's side.

She still wore her character's makeup and styling,

her beanie hat not yet removed,

and the crying scene mixed with raindrops had slightly smudged her eyeshadow.

This tear-streaked appearance was pitiful; it was hard to imagine that she was usually such a laughing, fun-loving goofball.

"Still not out of character?"

Xu Can teased, and simultaneously took a tissue to wipe away her smudged eyeshadow.

"If I were Gwen and you were Spider-Man, facing this situation... would you choose to leave to keep me safe?"

"What kind of trap question is that?"

Xu Can did not answer, simply pulling Emma's shoulder and gently embracing her.

"I only know that instead of worrying about the future, we should enjoy the present as much as possible."

Emma Stone smiled faintly, saying nothing, as her arms naturally wrapped around Xu Can's waist.

After two kissing scenes, and Xu Can's "improvised performance" last time,

the two were currently in a dating state.

More than friends, but not officially in a relationship.

This situation would be a bit too bold in China, but in North American dating culture, it is quite common.

Just like in the movie "La La Land," before the female lead Mia and the male lead Seb got together,

she was dating another successful person,

and Mia suddenly left the table, rushing recklessly toward the male lead Seb.
