Chapter 533: Yearning for Light in the Darkness!

The Dark Forest is immensely vast.

The further west you go, the more dangerous the Dark Forest becomes.

Moreover, after heading west, the Dark Forest continues to extend northward.

A few hundred kilometers west of the western boundary of the Sacred Flame Forest, you can see a crack splitting the ground.

This crack is not wide—only a few meters across—and its depth is unfathomable, unknown where it leads.

From within it, endless dark qi continuously radiates out, causing the air several hundred meters above this part of the Dark Forest to be filled with dark matter.

These dark matter clouds blot out the sky and sun; at night, they become even more terrifying, rising thousands of meters high.

Of course, beyond the forest, without the dense trees to contain them, these dark matter clouds cannot extend infinitely upward.

In fact, if someone flew directly over this crack, they would not see it at all.

The Dark Forest blocks even sunlight, leaving its interior pitch-black; for eyes that rely on reflected light to form images, how could it possibly be seen?

Several hundred kilometers west of this ground crack lies another crack, larger still, spewing even more dark matter.

Further west, there are even larger cracks.

Thus, the further west you go, the more dark matter you see in the sky.

Although sunlight cannot penetrate the Dark Forest, it still plays a vital role.

At the very least, sunlight prevents the dark matter from spreading infinitely upward.

Beyond the forest, the dark matter is directly exposed to sunlight, and over prolonged exposure, it is slowly broken down by solar rays.

Otherwise, given enough time, the entire continent would become like the Dark Forest.

These cracks grow progressively wider from east to west.

Moreover, the further west you go, the more such cracks appear.

It is as if someone had swung an axe and carved countless wounds across the earth.

And within some of the larger cracks, dark creatures are occasionally seen crawling out.
