Chapter 62: Really Deserves a Beating
What a pity, there are still interrogators and judges behind, so we can't use Quirrell; otherwise it would take too long and problems might appear.
In a month or two, Quirrell's side probably won't have any problems for the time being, but in a year or two, it's hard to say.
He also needs to play some role; otherwise his title as a Law Enforcement Officer would be unearned, and it would affect his digestion of the Extraordinary Trait.
With the title of Hogwarts Law Enforcement Officer, Dali is no longer in a hurry to return to Gryffindor, so he simply starts strolling around the castle.
The Judicator Sequence's Sequence Eight Law Enforcement Officer places great importance on the concept of Jurisdiction. As long as Dali has seen a real person, a photo, or a sketch, he can firmly remember the target's appearance and gain extra sensing on the Extraordinary Ability level.
He possesses a memory ability of Mysticism significance for the routes he has walked.
He can detect abnormal factors and grasp subtle traces. When close enough, he can scout and sense unshielded things related to evil, chaos, or madness.
It is always linked with his Jurisdiction; the more familiar the place, the more he can exert his Law Enforcement Officer abilities, and once beyond the range, he can only rely on Extraordinary Ability.
Therefore, the more familiar Dali is with the situation at Hogwarts, the stronger the abilities he can display here, which plays a crucial role in his digestion of the Extraordinary Trait.
The whole morning, Dali almost walked through every part of Hogwarts Castle; aside from places he couldn't enter, like professors' offices or the ladies' restroom, he visited every accessible area.
This round of walking cost Dali a lot of time, because during the process he had to frequently activate Spiritual Sight to check his surroundings.
What surprised him was that Hogwarts Castle is far more complex than he imagined.
Many places, even Spiritual Sight cannot reveal the traces left by Magic, yet his intuition tells him those spots are discordant.
He recorded such places in his mind, intending to explore them properly when he has time later.
He even suspects that Dengbulido, as Hogwarts' headmaster, only knows part of the school.
The hidden secrets of the long‑standing Hogwarts are probably as deep as the Black Lake outside the school.
The entire weekend passed as Dali wandered around like this.
The news of his role as Hogwarts Law Enforcement Officer did not spread widely; only Harry and a few others knew.
The new week began quickly; aside from class time, Dali usually roams the castle, which greatly helps deepen his Mysticism connection with Hogwarts.
This point can be seen from the digestion speed of the Extraordinary Trait.
The Law Enforcement Officer's Extraordinary Trait digestion speed is clearly much faster than that of a barbarian.
This is mainly because the barbarian's role finds few opportunities at school; he can't just go around beating others.
Thursday.
"Flight class is this afternoon, I'm so excited!"
Luoen was extremely excited early in the morning.
Since the Flying class schedule was released, he has been looking forward to this day.
Dali and Harry, almost every day, have to hear him recount Quidditch and the story of him riding Charlie's old broom and nearly colliding with a hanging glider.
"Bad news: it's with Slytherin House students."
Harry reminded him.
"Ah, no!"
Luoen said regretfully.
"Is riding a flying broom going to be hard?"
Harry asked with a somewhat serious expression.
"It's not very hard; once you master the method, you can fly easily," Luoen immediately said.
Harry nodded, but this didn't ease his mood.
He glanced at Dali, who was leisurely reading nearby, and asked, "Dali, aren't you worried?"
"I see Hermione looking very worried; after all, this isn't knowledge you can learn from a textbook."
Dali set the book down, shook his head: "There's nothing to worry about; it's just control of Spiritual... Magic, not as hard as you imagine."
Harry looked at Dali and could sense that Dali truly wasn't worried at all; one could even say he was full of confidence.
"Alright."
Harry said dryly.
Dali truly excels at Hogwarts; there seems to be no subject he isn't good at, and in this regard even Hermione cannot shake Dali's standing.
"You don't need to worry; you have a flying talent."
Dali said casually.
"What? I have a talent, how could I not have known?"
Harry looked at Dali in surprise.
"What talent?" Luoen crowded over, and even Hermione, who was reading nearby, set her book down and cast a curious glance.
"Uh... while wandering Hogwarts lately, I went to the trophy display room and saw your father—my uncle by marriage's trophy. He was once an outstanding Chaser, leading the house to win the Quidditch Cup, so if you've inherited your father's talent, your use of a flying broom certainly won't be poor."
Dali said earnestly.
"This... really?"
Harry was in Disbelief.
"It's true."
Dali nodded.
"Ah, your father was actually a Chaser and won the Quidditch Cup, and you never told me."
"I didn't know," Harry said, a bit stunned.
"When we have time, I'll take you to see it, but now we should head to the outdoor field."
Dali checked the time; there wasn't much left before their Flying class began.
"Let's go."
They gathered themselves and walked together toward the outdoor field.
When they arrived at the grass outside, many Slytherin House students were already waiting there.
"I saw Ma Er Fu's hateful face again."
"Harry noticed Ma Er Fu in the crowd."
"Do you think he'll come over to mock us?" Luoen said.
"It's likely."
"After all, these past few days he's repeatedly said he encountered a helicopter while riding a flying broomstick."
Harry said.
"Potter, De Shi Li, are you so scared you can't walk?"
"Oh! I forgot, you come from Muggle families, you Lack seen a flying broomstick, let alone ridden one."
"Don't be scared and fall off the broom later! Hahaha."
"Ma Er Fu lived up to expectations, loudly mocking, causing the Slytherin students to burst into laughter."
"Harry's face turned grim."
"Dali stood to the side, watching Ma Er Fu."
"This kid really deserves a beating."
"He's never lost in a fight, never lost in an argument."
"Does he really think he won't get beaten at Hogwarts?"
"Dali felt his barbarian's Extraordinary Trait stirring."
