Chapter 78: Three Films Released Simultaneously
Xiang Fei pushed open the door, holding three thick scripts in his hands, and walked over to Xiang Qiang's desk.
"Uncle."
Xiang Qiang was reviewing documents; he glanced up at him. "Hmm? Something wrong?"
Xiang Fei said nothing, simply slapping the three scripts onto the desk with a loud thud.
Xiang Qiang froze, looking down to see the top one titled *Hail the Judge*, the second *Lawyer Lawyer*, and the third *Mojin: The Worm Valley*.
"What is this..."
The corners of Xiang Fei's mouth lifted slightly. "Three new scripts, releasing at year's end."
Xiang Qiang frowned, picking up *Hail the Judge* to flip through a few pages, then opened *Lawyer Lawyer* for a look, before finally resting his gaze on *Mojin: The Worm Valley*, his expression gradually turning to shock.
"When did you write these?"
"Just wrote them casually when I had nothing better to do." Xiang Fei's tone was relaxed, as if he had merely sketched a few lines.
Xiang Qiang snapped his head up, staring at him. "Shoot all three at once? Release them by year's end?"
"Yes." Xiang Fei nodded. "Wang Jing will continue directing the *Ghost Blows Out the Light* series, so *Mojin: The Worm Valley* goes to him; Chen Chen Kexin will handle *Hail the Judge* and *Lawyer Lawyer*, releasing both together."
Xiang Qiang took a deep breath, put down the scripts, leaned back in his chair, and remained silent for a long moment.
Xiang Fei was in no hurry, simply standing there waiting for his reaction.
Finally, Xiang Qiang spoke slowly. "Releasing at year's end... are you planning to ambush Golden Harvest and Shaw Brothers during the New Year slot?"
Xiang Fei laughed. "Uncle knows me well indeed."
Xiang Qiang stood up, walked to the window, and stood with his back to Xiang Fei in silence for a while before suddenly turning around. "Ah Fei, do you know what it means to start production on three films simultaneously with a year-end release?"
"It means Win's Entertainment must mobilize all its resources; it means directors, actors, and crews will operate beyond capacity; it means the marketing budget must double." Xiang Fei's tone was calm. "But more importantly, it means Win's Entertainment will become the dominant force in this year's New Year slot."
Xiang Qiang stared at him, his gaze complex. "Where does your confidence come from?"
Xiang Fei walked up to him and picked up the script for *Hail the Judge*. "Uncle, take a look at this."
Xiang Qiang took it, flipped through a few pages quickly, his frown gradually smoothing out until he finally couldn't help but laugh aloud. "This script... has some merit."
"*Lawyer Lawyer* is a legal comedy starring Zhou Xingxing, packed with jokes; *Hail the Judge* is a period satirical comedy, also led by Zhou Xingxing; *Mojin: The Worm Valley* is an adventure suspense film continuing the momentum of *Ghost Blows Out the Light*." Xiang Fei analyzed them one by one. "Three films, three genres, covering every audience demographic."
Xiang Qiang closed the script and took a deep breath. "You've even decided on the lead actors?"
"Mm." Xiang Fei nodded. "Zhou Xingxing has already agreed to take on *Lawyer Lawyer* and *Hail the Judge*. As for *Mojin: The Worm Valley*... Wang Jing already has Hu Hu Bayi and Shirley Yang ready to go."
Xiang Qiang fell silent for a moment, then suddenly laughed. "You kid... silently arranged everything without making a sound?"
Xiang Fei shrugged. "I can't rely on you to worry about everything forever, Uncle."
Xiang Qiang walked back to his desk and picked up the phone. "Call Wang Jing and Chen Chen Kexin over immediately."
Ten minutes later, Wang Jing and Chen Chen Kexin arrived in a hurry.
As soon as he entered, Wang Jing shouted, "Brother Qiang, what's so urgent?"
Chen Chen Kexin, being more composed, nodded in greeting. "Mr. Xiang."
Xiang Qiang pointed at the three scripts on the desk. "Ah Fei's new projects; take a look."
Wang Jing's eyes lit up; he grabbed *Mojin: The Worm Valley* at once. "A sequel to *Ghost Blows Out the Light*? Excellent, excellent! I'll take this one!"
Chen Chen Kexin picked up *Hail the Judge* and *Lawyer Lawyer*, scanned them quickly, then looked up at Xiang Fei. "Shoot both together?"
"Yes." Xiang Fei nodded. "Time is tight, but the scripts are complete and the cast is basically confirmed; as soon as the directors agree, we can start production immediately."
Chen Chen Kexin pondered for a moment, then suddenly smiled. "Interesting. I'm in."
Wang Jing slapped the table. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's start preparations immediately!"
Seeing this, Xiang Qiang finally made the decisive call. "Good! Launch all three films simultaneously, release them at year's end, and ambush Golden Harvest and Shaw Brothers!"
After the meeting ended, just as Xiang Fei was preparing to leave, Xiang Qiang called out to him. "Ah Fei."
Xiang Fei turned around. "Uncle, anything else?"
Xiang Qiang stared at him and spoke slowly. "This time... you are targeting Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest?"
Xiang Fei laughed. "The market is only so big; they have occupied it for too long."
Xiang Qiang narrowed his eyes. "Aren't you afraid of their counterattack?"
"Afraid?" Xiang Fei's tone was indifferent. "For Win's Entertainment to rise, we must inevitably step over the corpses of a few giants."
Xiang Qiang fell silent for a moment, then burst into loud laughter. "Good! That's the spirit of my Xiang family!"
That night, as Zhou Zhou Huimin rubbed Xiang Fei's shoulders, she asked softly, "Releasing three films at once, won't it be too exhausting?"
Xiang Fei took her hand. "Don't worry, everything is under control."
Zhou Zhou Huimin sighed. "I'm just afraid you're pushing yourself too hard..."
Xiang Fei turned around, looking at her with a smile. "After this year's New Year slot, Win's Entertainment... will be the new king of the Xiangjiang film industry."
