In the primordial era of the martial world—before the Heavenly Demon Cult, the Nine Great Sects, or even the Five Noble Clans had ever existed—

Baek Yoonjun, a modern man who didn’t know the first thing about martial arts, was dropped into that alien world.

Terrified of everything around him, he fled into a deep, uninhabited mountain range.

There, driven by fear, he devoted himself to training so obsessively that he even forgot the passage of time.

By chance, he took on a disciple—and through that bond, he was dragged back into the world.

By the time he emerged, he had reached a realm as lofty as the years that had slipped by.

Yet with no sense of time or reality left in him, he still believed himself to be nothing more than a “third-rate martial artist,” and spent every day looking for an excuse to retreat back into seclusion.

“Master, just as you commanded, the grand plan to divide the world into three has begun.”

“…When did I ever say that?”

The disciples he raised out of boredom became the greatest warriors under heaven, shaking the world with their names.

The stones he tossed away in annoyance became the clues to legendary secret manuals.

But the true wish of the man at the center of it all was painfully simple.

“Ah… I just want to rot away in my room.”
