Chapter 637: A New Heaven (Please Refresh)
If asked how it feels for Su Lin to sit on the Throne of the Abyssal God,
he could responsibly tell others that this position is scorching—both physically and spiritually.
Because a certain coin-spender became Su Lin's counterpart and sat on the future side of this throne, the instant his essence was utterly siphoned away caused Su Lin, who governs the present and past, to be counted as the same person—and suffer along with him.
He watched as concepts were continuously drained from his body, like a nuclear-powered firefly consuming energy, the martyrdom effect and the Throne of the Abyssal God pushed to their absolute limits.
As long as he sat upon the divine seat, his spiritual will would never wither.
As long as his spiritual will did not collapse, he could maintain eternal indestructibility.
But this position was excruciatingly hot.
Unbearable, burning like kindling at every moment, and the future portion had already been stolen by that bastard Su Su Tuoni!
There was only one way to escape this King-of-Fuel experience.
Leave this divine seat—then the Abyssal God who governs the future would merely be a counterpart, "Su Lin," not his own future.
Then he wouldn't have to sustain this blissfully torturous state anymore.
"You cannot leave!" The Abyssal God had already tied his origin to Su Lin.
This thing is now just an accessory; if he steps down from this seat, the future Abyssal God will lose Su Lin due to the rupture of reincarnation and be consumed as fuel by Su Su Tuoni Su.
He would leave, of course—after finishing everything.
Looking at the tense body of "Nanatsu Shigeki" before him, Su Lin said nothing, reestablishing the connection between him and the former Abyssal Type-Moon Origin he had once linked to.
From the nested doll placed within the Holy Grail of the Grand Sanctuary, he transferred Emiya Shirou and the Servants of Chaldea into the "instance world."
Endless, within the Grand Void, lay a black abyss constructed from shattered remnants.
Information, concepts, laws, matter—ordered and disordered, piled and combined like a black hole, endless abyssal darkness pouring in, restructured into a "world."
This was a false Type-Moon Origin, a residue gathered from information and concepts that sank into the Abyss; the beings within, from soul particles to appearances, differed entirely from the originals.
Excluded were the Reincarnator records of those who participated in the Holy Grail War solely to complete their mission, without massacre or unnecessary complications.
Su Lin crushed the Origin before him and spoke to the chosen Servants below:
"Fuse with the historical origin of the Omniverse, adopt the spiritual foundation of the Servant Universe, kill every person in the records, bring back their souls, and throw them into Hell."
Doors opened, leading to various dimensions of the Abyss and different universes of the Void.
"I ask you, what reason drove you to issue this command to me? Pity for these fakes? Or some boring excuse like justice? What if I must deal with their families, friends, or innocent bystanders who stand in your way?"
Gilgamesh crossed his arms and stared directly at Su Lin: "You need not answer—but I may refuse. You may erase me from the level of origin!"
"This universe is my property. Even its remnants from before reincarnation—these trash have no right to touch them."
Su Lin cast a cold gaze; the twelve-winged avatar, adorned with starlight, gradually transformed into the slumbering Lucifer within the Wings of Ash, and as the Disaster Rhythm awoke, it began composing a magnificent symphony of the world's destruction.
"Then let their universe become ash too," Lucifer stood in the dawn's light, smiling cheerfully:
"Next time you dare offend my master, I will reserve a place for you in my newly built Hell."
"How interesting," Gilgamesh's lips curled into an exaggerated grin: "That guy's current state suits me perfectly! Tokiomi, let's go."
One by one, Servants bearing identical histories and artifacts from the Marvel Universe departed, stepping through the opened doorways.
"You're really going to..." Tenzan Lixiang was startled; last time in the Sea of Great Vows, they had destroyed only universes devoid of life or already in decay.
"Those worlds held no you, so it's natural you never obtained the historical data of these fakes."
Gilgamesh lifted his chin, gazing in one direction: "Look over there."
Tenzan Lixiang followed his gaze and saw Emiya clenching his jaw tightly, blood dripping from between his clenched fingers.
"Emiya Mama..."
Not just Emiya, but even those familiar individuals were wrapped in thick killing intent, as if contaminated by the Evil of This World.
A crimson glow flickered in Tenzan Lixiang's eyes; she turned back and saw overwhelming power ravaging heaven and earth—when the thing capable of severing the world itself was drawn from the King's Treasury: the Excalibur.
Even in the Marvel Universe, when his origin as the Eternal "Gilgamesh" had been sewn in and his physique deliberately preserved, he had never shown such seriousness.
"He's not acting out of mercy—just like us..."
"It's the rage of one whose treasure, dignity, and existence have been violated—a wrath that pierces all realms."
The Hero-King, standing atop the Summit of All Phenomena, his smile fully transformed into the grotesque fury of a demon: "Tokiomi, I acknowledge that he deserves to sit on that throne!"
Light and darkness converged into the twisted air; the weapon, fragile as glass yet imbued with the laws of creation and destruction, rotated—its hilt, alive, howling like a beast, gripped tightly by Gilgamesh, aimed at a pile of ruins—
and brought down.
There are second-generation rich kids, second-generation immortals, second-generation gods—but the most valuable of all is the second-generation Reincarnator.
Shhh—
Sawaragi Shii pulled back the curtains, dispelling the thick heather scent in the room; behind him, on the large bed, lay a woman he had brought back from a certain instance world—originally an empress's concubine from an immortal Dao world.
Her strength and growth potential were weak, but she was pleasant; he took her along while completing his mission to assassinate the emperor.
Just an invitation pass—his parents had sent him plenty of Reincarnation points yesterday, enough to waste for a long time.
"Good morning, Captain~" He was completely naked, greeting the bearded man on the neighboring balcony without shame.
The bearded man glanced at him, nodded coldly, and turned away.
He clearly didn't want to stay in the same place as him.
Tsk. A whore who wants to be seen as virtuous.
First-generation Reincarnators who passed the screening process all had some pride—but this guy? He took his parents' benefits to become their guard?
The Reincarnation Space is truly a wonderful place; I can't fathom why Dad made me leave after my team reached SS rank.
Infinite worlds' resources, treasures, power—all within reach!
Thinking of it made him irritable; he turned back and saw one of his concubines picking up the Western Knight's Sword he had placed in the room, examining it curiously.
Paf—
The oval-faced concubine covered her face completely, unable to believe Sawaragi Shii had suddenly become so brutal.
This Gao Zhijian the Vow of Victory was a trophy he acquired over a decade ago during a Type-Moon instance.
That Saber refused to follow me even unto death, and deliberately destroyed her soul core, just so I could seal this weapon away as a keepsake.
Too bad—the invitation quotas for that instance world are scarce, and teams above C-rank simply cannot be assigned there.
Otherwise, he would have had a way to control her now.
"I see this sword is glowing."
"Do you know I hate lies the most?"
A wisp of killing intent emerged.
If not for the Reincarnation Space's rule against killing, he would have killed this woman outright.
"Don't push your luck." He raised his hand to strike again, barking: "Who gave you permission to touch my things?!"
Pfft!
Sawaguchi Yuki stared at his own severed hand falling, before he could react, his other hand holding the sword was also cut off.
In the instant blood sprayed, the Victory Pact Sword dropped from the severed palm was snatched backward by a swift, majestic figure.
The next second, the world spun wildly.
He seemed to see his own neck spurting blood.
Isn't there a rule in the Reincarnation Space that forbids death and killing?
Sawaguchi Yuki's fading consciousness saw his parents crossing dimensions to arrive—only to be slaughtered instantly by the black knight with dark gold braided hair.
A world where immortal martial arts had revived; the awakened gods and demons had already been suppressed by the Great Zhou, daring not to stir—yet suddenly, a far stronger army of angels and foreign gods appeared from nowhere.
The moment these angels appeared, the Great Zhou activated its divine prohibitions, repelling them beyond its borders—but at the cost of all its energy.
Despite this, the few with the highest cultivation still stepped forward and summoned the last celestial official of the ancient Heavenly Palace.
Even if this meant certain death, the dignity of the Great Zhou's human race must not be violated!
"Great Zhou ahead—gods and demons forbidden to pass!" The white-bearded elder swung his flaming sword and charged resolutely: "Tai Bai Jin Xing stands here! The Heavenly Court shall endure forever!!!"
Behind him, every human showed grief and despair, yet resolutely seized their weapons and activated the blood-burning prohibition technique.
At that moment, the angels truly halted their movements.
"Hey, is the Mao Ri Xing Guan from the neighboring Heavenly Court office there? This is the Primordial Heaven Registration Office." The six-winged angel spoke through the Ten Thousand Worlds Communication Token.
"Thanks for the recent document exchange—we seem to have one of yours named Tai Bai Jin Xing."
The six-winged angel lowered the Ten Thousand Worlds Communication Token; a star official appeared beside him with a squad of heavenly soldiers and generals, instantly filling the air with boundless celestial radiance and divine qi.
"By the decree of Hun Tian Di: the Heavenly Court wages war against demons across all worlds. Any who harbor them shall be cast into the Eternal Hell!" The Mao Ri Xing Guan finished his proclamation at lightning speed, then turned to the white-bearded elder:
"Are you Tai Bai Jin Xing?"
The white-bearded elder froze stiff in midair.
"Go kill them." The Mao Ri Xing Guan ordered the several heavenly generals behind him:
"Capture this one and bring him back to present to Hun Tian Di."
A world steeped in strangeness.
Once the capital of a certain magical dynasty, it had once erupted in horrific disasters during its peak.
The king cast a forbidden spell, burying himself and his people within the Elemental Plane of Earth—but over the years, some of these strangenesses escaped to the outside world.
A Reincarnation team was currently conducting an investigation mission inside a palace tomb tens of thousands of years old.
Among them, a female Reincarnator wielded a Fire-Tipped Spear, her body shielded by auspicious light, sprinting through a sea of Samadhi True Fire with the team.
"Captain, your artifact is better than most artifacts exchanged for S-rank medals!" a rookie exclaimed: "Really obtained from an A-rank team battle instance?"
"The higher up you go, the less you should rely on the Reincarnation Space's team rank ratings or Reincarnator evaluations."
The red-clad youth explained beside him:
"The level of that Journey to the West instance world was never low—only the Nine Tripods suppressed all transcendent beings, including sages."
Had it not been for the restriction limiting roles to the Journey route alone, countless other Myriad Worlds, innumerable subordinate Middle Thousand Worlds, and Minor Thousand Worlds could have been explored.
"That old ox dotes on his son—we looted plenty of treasures after killing Red Hong Haier back then." The red-clad youth patted the coffin on his back and smiled:
"Just like this king who became a strangeness—he still thinks of his daughter. That's a weakness."
Not long after, they broke through the encirclement formed by the strangenesses and reached the center of the tomb's Wang Ting.
As agreed, they found the princess—who may or may not have escaped the royal city.
"Your Majesty, Princess Scarlett has been found."
The elegant woman gestured; the red-clad youth placed his coffin on the ground and pushed it toward the shadowed figure at the Wang Zuo.
All they needed was for this old mummy to open the princess's coffin lid—the corpse inside had been tampered with.
"Princess? But my son is missing." The shadowed figure spoke.
Knew it wouldn't be this simple.
Expected as much—such sentient strangenesses love breaking promises. This strangeness king merely wanted to go aboveground and torment the living.
"You could also tell us clues about your prince—we'll search for him too." The elegant woman went on guard.
"My son…"
"Yes, what's his name?"
"My ox-saint's child is called Red Hong Haier."
Creak… creak…
The shadowed king twitched, then came the sound of bones shattering and chewing.
A massive monstrous form emerged from behind the Wang Zuo—a red-eyed ox demon, chewing as it simultaneously growled the same question as the mouth of the strangeness king:
"The longevity lock you're wearing… it looks like the gift I gave him."
The entire tomb grew eerily silent, as the Reincarnators stared in horror at the ox demon growing ever taller, until it crushed the entire Elemental Plane of Earth.
Until the list obtained from Loki was fully mapped by the Heavenly Court, the newly established Hell Kingdom was filled with the souls of Reincarnators who had once entered the ruins of the Type-Moon Universe.
This long hunt, in which the entire Abyss was known, seen, and mastered, this revenge across time and space, had finally come to an end.
What puzzled Su Lin was that no one emerged from behind the Cycle Space to stop him, even though he had instituted rules allowing Spirits to kill within the Cycle Space.
Perhaps because these Cycle Users were utterly insignificant, or perhaps because he now bore the account of the Abyss's God.
"Be quiet."
Another porcelain-like scar appeared on Su Lin's face; he waved his hand, dismissing Yang Jian and Taibai Jinxing who wished to report something, and the nine dragon souls, embracing all colors, flew back from the Hun Tian Di's chariot.
Luxi's wounds had slightly healed; he did not know whether these Cycle Users or certain worlds were potent nourishment.
But it didn't matter.
The Ashen Wings and the Invincible War Dragon Armor, as vessels of his ontological division, had been reclaimed, and his condition improved slightly.
He looked down at the divine throne, at Qiye Zhigui, whose eyes were numb, and Loki, who was eager.
"Light the fire for me."
Qiye heard the voice from the throne—loud as a bell, supreme and ethereal.
He slowly raised his head; the words he had once heard in dreams and illusions echoed again in his ears.
Pure white flames engulfed him entirely; Qiye felt his existence, his life, dissolving within the fire.
If this were the end, it wouldn't be so bad.
He thought so, yet before him appeared a vast golden Holy Grail.
"As fuel, light the fire for me."
"Forge a new Heaven."
Countless souls gathered from the Abyssal Type-Moon Universe, along with him, flew into it.
Within the pure white world.
He saw a red-haired youth walking past with a white-haired girl.
"I made a wish to the Holy Grail."
In the instant they passed, boundless light shattered him and all the souls within, yet those calm words lingered in his ears, bringing an indescribable sense of peace.
Qiye Zhigui slowly closed his eyes, and time passed without measure.
Warm, gentle sunlight shone through his eyelids into his eyes.
He opened his eyes and looked down at the golden-haired woman he had just severed into seventeen pieces with his small knife; memories of the past flooded his mind.
"."
He looked around—at the city called Yuanye City.
The story began anew.
