Chapter 104: Legendary Knight

~6 min read 1,090 words

Robin's body seemed wrapped in an invisible force, his speed, strength, and reaction instantly rose to a new level.

The two red giant wolves roared and lunged at Robin, their sharp fangs and claws flashing coldly, as if to tear him to pieces.

Robin merely waved his Great Horse Leather Steel Tang Sword, the blade flashing like lightning; the two wolves were instantly cut in half, turning into a burst of red energy that dissipated in the air.

Anxi's face turned pale in an instant, a look of disbelief flashing in his eyes.

He hadn't expected his strongest attack to be so easily nullified by Robin.

"This... this is impossible!" Anxi whispered, his tone tinged with desperation.

Robin stared at him coldly, his voice laced with a hint of sarcasm: "Knight Anxi, your strength is indeed impressive, but still not enough to threaten me. Now, it ends."

Before the words finished, Robin's figure already appeared before Anxi like a wraith.

Anxi hadn't time to react before Robin's Tang Sword pierced his chest.

"You..." Anxi's eyes widened, blood spurted from his mouth. He looked down at the blade in his chest, a flash of resentment and anger in his eyes.

Robin stared at him coldly, his tone resolute: "Knight Anxi, you are merely a pawn. The Wizard Council, the Round Table Council, the Black Wizard Covenant... they all use you. Now, you may rest."

Anxi's body slowly fell, the light in his eyes gradually fading.

Robin drew his Tang Sword, looked at the fallen Anxi, a hint of complex emotion flashing in his eyes.

"Young Master Allen!" Zhang Bolun's voice trembled slightly.

Robin suddenly asked: "Is anyone around?"

Zhang Bolun immediately understood; he is a knight raised from childhood by Viscount Weierke, absolutely loyal to the family.

Zhang Bolun said: "No! The nearest farm is still several kilometers away, and this is deep within the estate, usually very safe."

Robin nodded, skillfully removed the equipment from Zhang Bolun, then dragged it into a small grove and dug a pit to drop it in.

A small fireball was thrown onto Anxi's corpse, igniting fierce flames; only when the body was completely cremated did Robin have Zhang Bolun cover it with earth.

Robin stood at the edge of the grove, watching Zhang Bolun place the last shovelful of soil over Anxi's ashes, yet felt no relief at all.

Anxi's death is only a beginning; the Wizard Council will not let him go easily. And from now on, he will face even harsher challenges.

"Young Master Allen, what should we do next?" Zhang Bolun asked softly, his tone carrying a hint of worry.

Robin pondered for a moment, then said quietly: "Zhang Bolun, today's events must never be leaked. Anxi's death must remain a secret, otherwise the Weierke family will face annihilation."

Zhang Bolun nodded, his voice firm: "I understand, Young Master Allen. I will keep my mouth shut, and no one will learn of this."

Robin patted Zhang Bolun's shoulder, his tone grateful: "Thank you, Zhang Bolun. You are the Weierke family's most loyal Knight; I trust you. As long as you remain loyal to the family, I wouldn't mind training you to become a Great Knight, even a Legendary Knight."

Making grand promises like that, after hearing them enough you just get used to it.

At that moment, a distant sound of horse hooves came.

Robin quickly looked up, spotting several knights marching toward them along the road.

Leading them was the captain of the farm's knight squad—Leimeng.

"Young Master Allen!" Leimeng shouted from afar, his voice tinged with urgency, "Are you all right? We heard you were patrolling here, but you hadn't returned, so we came to check."

Robin quickly adjusted his expression, showing a slight relaxed smile: "Captain Leimeng, I'm fine. I just discovered some suspicious traces here, so I was delayed."

Leimeng breathed a sigh of relief, then looked around, asking softly: "Suspicious traces? Should I send men to search?"

Robin shook his head, his tone casual: "No need, I've already checked, nothing serious. Probably beast tracks, I'll have patrols reinforced later."

Leimeng nodded, then looked at Zhang Bolun, noticing his gear was a bit messy, and frowned: "Zhang Bolun, what's up with your equipment?"

Zhang Bolun's heart tightened, but his face remained calm: "I slipped in the grove earlier, nothing serious."

Leimeng asked no further, just nodded: "Good then. Young Master Allen, since you're fine, we'll head back. There are matters at the farm that need handling."

Robin nodded, his tone gentle: "Thanks for your effort, Captain Leimeng. You all return first; Zhang Bolun and I will check again, and we'll be back soon."

Leimeng led several knights away; Robin watched their backs, silently breathing a sigh of relief.

"Zhang Bolun, let's go back." Robin said softly, his voice weary.

Zhang Bolun nodded, then followed Robin, heading toward the farm.

After the routine inspection of the farm, Robin returned to the manor, lingering little, for after all, farming is something he only half understands.

The reason he inspected the farm was simply because his father had asked him to become familiar with the estate's production.

Early the next morning, members of the Wizard Council arrived at the manor.

Leading them was Nasida Light.

"Allen Weierke Walt, we are members of the Wizard Council, ordered to arrest you," Nasida said coldly, his tone bearing undeniable authority.

Robin's heart tightened, but his face stayed calm: "Arrest me? May I ask what crime I've committed?"

Nasida sneered, his tone mocking: "You're suspected of colluding with the Black Wizard Covenant, endangering the kingdom's safety. Come with us for investigation."

Robin knew the Wizard Council members were clearly after him.

He swiftly activated the Dragon Devouring Breathing Method, his Life Force and Magic Power surged within, ready for battle.

"What if I refuse?" Robin said coldly, a hint of chill in his eyes.

Nasida's face darkened instantly; he waved his hand, signaling his subordinates to prepare: "Then don't blame us for being impolite."

The next second, Viscount Weierke led his own knights to surround them.

"Sir, although the Wizard Council is powerful, this is the western kingdom, not your southern lands," Viscount Weierke said calmly, "If that Legendary Knight Anxi had come, perhaps he could have taken my son, but you lot?"

Viscount's wife Meilita said coldly: "Without evidence, you dare to raid noble lands, who gave you the courage?"

At this moment she was fully armed, holding a magic staff, silently watching Nasida and his group, ready to act.
