Chapter 897: Combat Power Surge

He kept the remaining two for himself, to serve as his future battle assistants.

Next, he had Qin Peng lead soldiers on Yonglie Island to mark a huge clearing, and first released a Beast King of the revered rank.

Then he let that Beast King unleash the ferocious beasts of the Zao Hua Realm it commanded—over six hundred in total.

Qin Peng and the soldiers, upon seeing them, laughed so hard their mouths wouldn't close!

It wasn't over yet. Afterwards, Ye Liuyun successively released four more Beast Kings of the revered rank, each controlling five to six hundred Zao Hua Realm ferocious beasts.

Qin Peng and the soldiers watched, their jaws nearly dropping to the ground!

"Pick what you like, I'll give you two thousand! After you finish these, I'll give you ferocious beasts of the Yin-Yang Realm," Ye Liuyun said to Qin Peng.

He also released other Zao Hua Realm dragon eagles, letting them choose.

Qin Peng was now so excited he could barely speak, only nodding repeatedly.

After they finished picking, Ye Liuyun gathered the remaining ferocious beasts, and had the Beast Kings help the beasts and the soldiers sign Master-Servant Contracts.

After finishing, Ye Liuyun released the Yin-Yang Realm ferocious beasts, let Qin Peng pick another two thousand. Watching the soldiers complete their Master-Servant Contracts, he then returned to the Marquis's manor.

He kept the remaining ferocious beasts inside the Space World, letting them live there, and appointed a new Beast King to oversee the others.

Many soldiers lacked Storage Rings that could store living things, so Ye Liuyun had Du Yan arrange an emergency purchase of materials; he intended to forge a batch of Storage Rings for the soldiers.

Qin Peng was busy preparing the army. Ye Liuyun also took out a lot of stored ferocious beast meat to reward the soldiers.

The whole Yonglie Island was bustling, as if celebrating a festival.

Besides Qin Peng's dragon eagle, Ye Liuyun gave the army five other Beast Kings of the revered rank.

Suddenly six more revered‑rank ferocious beasts joined, and the garrison's combat power surged dramatically.

Within the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner, the Asura was also assisting Ye Liuyun in consolidating Yin Souls. His Soul Banner now contains nine revered‑rank Divine Souls and an army of fifty thousand Yin Souls.

Du Yan personally rode a revered‑rank dragon eagle, racing to Eagle Beak Island to purchase the materials Ye Liuyun needed.

Prince Liang's subordinates sensed the aura of a revered‑rank strongman and immediately reported to Prince Liang.

"Go see how far Yonglie Island has developed now."

Prince Liang also felt he hadn't paid attention to Yonglie Island for a while, so he sent someone to check.

Unexpectedly, when the scout returned, the news shocked him.

"Seven revered‑rank ferocious beasts? And two of them are dragon eagles?" Prince Liang could hardly believe his ears. "Where did this kid get so many high‑rank ferocious beasts!"

He hadn't expected Ye Liuyun to develop so quickly.

With thousands of Zao Hua Realm and Yin-Yang Realm ferocious beasts added, Yonglie Island's defensive strength now surpasses that of his Eagle Beak Island!

In fact, he knew about the last time Lord Yu dispatched troops to Yonglie Island. He had intended to wait for Ye Liuyun to ask for help, then sell him a favor.

Unexpectedly, Ye Liuyun not only solved it himself but also expanded his power.

"This kid's Guardian God Seal is extraordinary; he'll surely soar to the heavens!" Prince Liang exclaimed.

Developing so fast in such a short time proves Ye Liuyun is exceptional.

He immediately issued orders to fully support Yonglie Island's development, promote it, and grant it priority trade rights and other preferential measures.

After receiving the news, Ye Liuyun promptly responded by sending five hundred Yin-Yang Realm ferocious beasts as a return gift.

Then Ye Liuyun spent several consecutive days forging Storage Rings that can store living things for the soldiers.

Fortunately, the requirements for these Storage Rings are low, so Ye Liuyun could easily forge them.

A few days later, when he handed the Storage Rings to Qin Peng, Qin Peng was astonished.

"Lord Marquis, you can not only refine elixirs but also forge artifacts?"

"I can manage alchemy, but forging is truly beyond me; I can only grudgingly provide them for the soldiers!" Ye Liuyun said modestly.

Although he said that, Qin Peng's respect for Ye Liuyun grew ever stronger!

"How's the preparation for building an elite troop going?" Ye Liuyun asked about the elite soldiers.

"We're only at a scale of three hundred! Personnel are hard to find, Lord Marquis, don't be anxious!" Qin Peng replied.

"Hmm, I know, elite troops aren't easy to cultivate!" Ye Liuyun didn't press him further.

"Concentrate resources to train them, even let them go out for some honing!" Ye Liuyun suggested.

"Yes!" Qin Peng agreed.

Now the island has sufficient defensive strength, and he can also lead troops out for activities.

There are many Demon Cultivators nearby who used to harass them; it's time to clear them out.

After finishing his talk with Qin Peng, Ye Liuyun released a revered‑rank dragon eagle and rushed straight to Eagle Beak Island to find Prince Liang.

"Haha, what wind blew Lord Ye here?" Prince Liang personally came to greet Ye Liuyun.

"Prince, you're joking! I came to pay my respects, as is proper!" Ye Liuyun replied politely.

"Come, come, come, follow me to the study to chat!" Prince Liang knew Ye Liuyun wouldn't show up without a purpose.

Discussing secret matters is best done in the study, which has a pre‑arranged Formation that blocks Divine Sense detection.

After they were seated, Prince Liang finally asked Ye Liuyun's purpose.

Ye Liuyun didn't beat around the bush and spoke directly.

"I want to train my soldiers but don't know where suitable opponents are. Prince, do you have any recommendations?"

Prince Liang thought for a moment, then said, "Large‑scale deployments require a legitimate reason!"

Ye Liuyun continued, "That's why I came to ask you, Prince!"

Prince Liang smiled and hinted, "Actually the dynasty has always been troubled by those Demon Cultivators. If you're willing to send your own soldiers to eradicate them, you not only need no reason, you'll also receive the dynasty's reward!"

Ye Liuyun thanked him repeatedly. Only an elder like Prince Liang could understand the dynasty's intent.

"Haha, don't be so formal, I'll give you another tip. Some Demon Cultivator sects have cultivated Secret Realms. You can seize one or two of those Secret Realms as bases for training soldiers."

Prince Liang, pleased, gave Ye Liuyun another piece of advice.

Ye Liuyun suddenly realized, "Right, I can develop an army just like developing a sect!"

He thanked Prince Liang, then immediately rushed back to Brave and Fierce Island, having Qin Peng send out scouts to gather related news.

Upon hearing Ye Liuyun's plan, Qin Peng was also very excited. He finally had a place to use his martial skills, so while stepping up the eradication of the surrounding demon cultivators, he also sent out scouts to gather news about nearby demon cultivator sects.
