Chapter 1245: Never Heard Of It
Vasi Kereleiya, once a mining hub, is now a Human liberation base.
The Human slaves once imprisoned on this planet have all been rescued and settled in temporarily constructed refugee camps.
Transport ships arrive every day to send them to Human planets in the rear.
The person in charge of the refugee camp is a Xiuluo Saint named Alixiya Weila, thirty-two years old.
She was personally appointed by Vulkan because she said, "I want to help those suffering compatriots."
"How many people left today?"
She asked.
The Adjutant looked at the Data Pad.
"Alixiya, thirty thousand people were sent away today. The first batch consists of the young people in the best physical condition; they will go to the rear to receive education and training, and then be assigned to various posts."
Alixiya nodded.
"What about those in poor health?"
"They are receiving treatment. The medical officer says most of them can recover, it just takes time."
Alixiya stood up, walked out of the office, and arrived at the center of the refugee camp.
People were everywhere.
An old man sat in a corner, silently watching all of this.
Alixiya walked over and sat down beside him.
"Old man, what are you thinking about?"
The old man looked up at her.
"Thinking about... we're free, but what now?"
Alixiya fell into Silence for a second.
"After this, you will be sent to the rear, receive treatment, receive education, and then be assigned to various posts. You will have houses, jobs, and dignity. You will never have to be slaves again."
The old man smiled, a smile that was bitter yet comforted.
"Freedom... it's truly good. But sometimes, I'm also afraid. I don't know what the outside world is like, and I don't know if I can adapt."
Alixiya held his hand.
"Old man, if you could survive, you will certainly be able to adapt. Our Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance will not abandon its own compatriots. You will have a new home and a new life."
A glimmer of tears flashed in the old man's eyes.
"Thank you... thank you."
Alixiya stood up and continued to inspect the refugee camp.
She saw a mother holding a child, feeding the child porridge.
The child was about three or four years old, thin as a rail, but their eyes were very bright, and they were greedily drinking the porridge.
"How is the child?"
She asked.
The mother looked up, her eyes full of gratitude.
"Much better. The doctor says he will recover soon. Thank you all... thank you for saving us."
Alixiya bent down and touched the child's head.
"Grow up well, child. The days ahead will only get better."
Eris.
This planet was once the most famous tourist destination of the Feng Qi Xing Alliance.
The entire planet was transformed into a massive Entertainment Plaza; some low-level planets were converted into Gladiator Arenas, and some races would participate in gladiatorial combat, fighting for survival on the planet's surface for the entertainment and betting of spectators from across the entire Bode Star System.
After the Feng Qi Xing Alliance surrendered, operations here were suspended.
But dozens of ships from various factions remained docked in orbit, waiting for the Gladiator Arena to reopen.
Today, another fleet appeared at Eris.
The flagship of the Blood Angels Fleet, the "Angel," slowly detached from the fleet and approached Eris alone.
Inside the Bridge, Sanguinius stood before the observation window, looking down at the planet below that had been carved away by half.
"Is this the property of the Paradise Entertainment Group?"
The Adjutant Azkaellon stepped forward and pulled up the Data Pad.
"Yes, Father. Eris, the largest Entertainment Plaza under the Paradise Entertainment Group. Using the planet as the venue, various races are dropped onto the surface to fight for survival. Spectators can watch remotely and bet on the outcome. Our alma mater, the Xiuluo Holy Star, was once a Gladiator Arena here as well."
Sanguinius's brow furrowed slightly.
"Where do those contestants come from?"
"The sources are complex. Some are captives from defeated races, others are races that participate voluntarily."
Sanguinius was in Silence for a few seconds.
"How many Aliens are on this planet now?"
"According to intelligence, there are currently about three hundred thousand creatures of various races on the planet's surface, waiting for the next round of gladiatorial performances. There are forty-seven spectator ships docked in orbit, from twenty-three different factions."
"So many?"
"Yes, Father. We have detected at least five ships from unknown star regions; their energy signatures are different from any faction we have seen before. They may be civilizations from the other end of the Bode Star System."
A glimmer of light flashed in Sanguinius's eyes.
"Interesting."
He turned around to face the officers on the Bridge.
"Prepare to land. I want to meet these 'spectators' in person."
The main orbital station of Eris is a massive ring-shaped structure, where hundreds of ships are docked.
This place was originally a gathering point for spectators, but now it has become a venue for various factions to observe the situation.
The Angel docked at the main berth.
The hatch opened, and Sanguinius walked out first, followed by fifty fully armed Blood Angels Space Marines.
In the hall of the orbital station, hundreds of representatives from various factions were gathered.
Some of them were merchants, some were nobles, some were adventurers, and some were just tourists here to watch the spectacle.
But when Sanguinius walked in, everyone was stunned.
That perfect face, that elegant temperament, that intangible pressure...
Sanguinius walked to the center of the hall, looking around at these Aliens from all over the Bode Star System.
"I am Sanguinius, Primarch of the Blood Angels. From this moment on, Eris is taken over by the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance."
A buzzing sound of discussion erupted in the hall.
An Alien wearing a gorgeous robe stepped forward.
His skin was pale blue, and two curved antennae grew on his head.
"Lord Sanguinius, I am a merchant from the Beike Star Alliance, representing the Beike Commercial Federation, conducting normal commercial activities here.
We have no hostility toward the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance; we just want to know if our investments will be affected?"
Sanguinius looked at him.
"Beike Star Alliance? As long as you abide by the treaty, your interests will be guaranteed."
The merchant breathed a sigh of relief and bowed repeatedly.
"Thank you, my Lord! Thank you, my Lord!"
Another Alien stood out, displaying the typical characteristics of the Ash People.
"Lord Sanguinius, we are just here to watch the competition and have not participated in any hostile actions. When can we leave?"
Sanguinius glanced at him.
"At any time. As long as you follow the order, do not provoke, and do not cause trouble, you can leave according to normal procedures."
The Alien nodded and retreated back into the crowd.
The atmosphere seemed to ease a little.
But just then, a discordant voice rang out.
"Heh, Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance? Is that the bunch that just wiped out the Feng Qi Xing Alliance?"
Everyone looked toward the source of the sound.
The speaker was a massive Alien, over three meters tall, with deep purple skin and a body covered in thick carapaces.
He had four eyes distributed on both sides of his head, which were currently flashing with a dangerous light.
Behind him stood a dozen Aliens of the same race, each exuding a powerful aura.
Sanguinius looked at him, his expression unchanged.
"Who are you?"
The Alien grinned, revealing a row of sharp Liaya.
"My name is Kesi, from Keluoke Star. You may not have heard this name, but in the northeastern part of the Bode Star System, our Keluoke Empire is the hegemon."
Sanguinius nodded.
"Never heard of it."
Kesi's smile stiffened for a moment, then became even more ferocious.
"It doesn't matter if you haven't heard of it; you will remember it soon enough. Our ships are outside, and our warriors are here. By what right do you take over this place? We have investments, bets, and contracts here. What does your war have to do with us?"
The dozen or so Aliens behind him stepped forward in unison, exuding waves of pressure.
