Chapter 1309: The Powerless Pirates (1)
The remaining pirates fired frantically.
Energy beams struck Sailusi's Power Armor, splashing sparks.
Saiweilu did not dodge, walking forward as his Bolter fired in continuous bursts, each shot claiming a life.
Behind him, nine Lamenters Space Marines filed in.
Before they could even display their skills, they discovered that Sailusi had already finished off these Alien pirates.
In less than three seconds, over a dozen pirates had all fallen.
Saiweilu did not look at the corpses and continued to walk forward.
"Spread out. Find the Command Center. Other squads, clear the port."
"Understood."
The port of the Nest of the Faithless was in total chaos at this moment.
Hundreds of pirate ships were docked inside and outside the port; some were starting their engines in an attempt to flee, some were still dormant without any reaction, and some had already been occupied by the boarding Lamenters Space Marines.
The hatch of a medium Frigate was blown open, and three Lamenters Space Marines charged inside.
The roar of Bolters echoed in the cabin, and screams rose one after another.
A few minutes later, the pirates on the ship were cleared out, and the Frigate had a new master.
The cockpit of another small assault ship was cut open by a Plasma Cutter, and a Lamenters warrior jumped inside.
Before the pirate in the cockpit could react, a Chainsword had already split his skull.
On the ground of the port, more Lamenters Space Marines were exchanging fire with the pirates.
Pirates swarmed from every direction; some held Energy Rifles, some held cold weapons, and some were even empty-handed.
They fired wildly, energy beams and live ammunition pouring down like a rainstorm, but those yellow figures moved steadily through the hail of bullets like statues cast from Steel.
A Sota, holding an Energy Blade in each of his four arms, charged toward a Lamenters warrior.
His speed was astonishing; all four Energy Blades slashed down simultaneously, leaving four shallow scratches on the Lamenter's Power Armor.
The Lamenters warrior lowered his head to look at the scratches, then raised his head to look at the Sota.
The Sota wanted to retreat, but it was already too late.
The Lamenters warrior's Chainsword swept across, and the Sota's four arms were severed from his body simultaneously, blood spraying out.
He fell to the ground screaming, his skull crushed by a stomp.
On the other side, several Lizardmen hid behind cover, firing frantically.
Their Energy Guns struck the Lamenters warrior's Power Armor, splashing only a few sparks.
The Lamenters warrior walked over unhurriedly, pressed his Bolter against the cover, and fired three shots in succession.
The cover shattered, fragments and flesh splattering together.
"They aren't human!" a pirate screamed, "They're monsters!"
"Run!"
"Run where? They're everywhere!"
"Surrender! I surrender!"
A Feilin threw away his weapon and raised his hands.
A Lamenters warrior walked up to him and looked down at him.
The Feilin's three eyes were filled with fear and pleading.
"Please... I surrender... don't kill me..."
The Lamenters warrior did not answer.
He simply raised his Bolter and pressed it against the Feilin's forehead.
The trigger was pulled.
The Feilin's skull shattered, and the headless corpse fell to the ground.
The Lamenters warrior turned and continued to walk forward.
Inside the Command Center, Waluoke stared at the holographic screen, his face ashen.
On the screen, the port area had already turned into a battlefield.
Those yellow figures were slaughtering his men.
Their speed, strength, and defense far exceeded ordinary pirates; every Bolter round could take a life, and every swing of a blade could sever several bodies.
"How many of them are there?"
Waluoke asked.
The deputy's voice was trembling.
"I don't know... at least dozens... no, hundreds... and it's still increasing..."
Waluoke's fists tightened.
"What about our ships?"
The deputy pulled up another set of data.
"At least ten ships have been occupied, twenty have been destroyed... the others are trying to flee..."
Waluoke turned abruptly, his eyes filled with rage.
"Flee? Flee to where? The Shattered Star Belt is our territory! If they come, we fight! Drive them out!"
The deputy asked.
"How do we fight? Our weapons can't pierce their armor, our speed can't keep up with their reactions, our..."
Waluoke interrupted him.
"Shut up!"
He walked to the weapon cabinet and took out a Heavy Energy Rifle.
"Gather everyone. Call up anyone who can fight. We have to block them at the port; we cannot let them in."
The deputy nodded and turned to pass on the order.
Waluoke checked the Energy Rifle.
"Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance. Let you taste the power of the Shattered Star Belt."
In the Gladiator Arena, when Kaloke heard the alarm, he was watching two slaves fight.
He stood up abruptly.
"What is going on?"
The pirate beside him shook his head.
"I don't know... it seems something happened over at the port..."
Kaloke did not ask further and walked quickly toward the Command Center.
Passing the tavern, he saw a chaotic crowd.
Pirates were surging in from all directions; some held weapons, some were empty-handed, and some were still putting on equipment.
They did not know what had happened, only that they needed to run.
"Kaloke! Kaloke!"
A young Feilin stopped him.
"The Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance has broken in!"
Kaloke looked at him.
"How many people?"
"I don't know... many... they are wearing yellow armor, they can't be killed..."
Kaloke's expression changed.
Could it be the space marines of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance?
He pushed the young man aside and continued walking toward the Command Center.
At the entrance of the tavern, several pirates were arguing.
"Run! While there is still time!"
"Run? The ships have all been seized by them, where are we supposed to run to?"
"Then surrender! Maybe they will accept a surrender..."
"Accept a surrender? Didn't you see? They don't accept surrenders! They kill everyone they see!"
Kaloke did not stop his pace.
Now was not the time for arguing.
In the slave market, when Geluke heard the alarm, he was taking inventory of the newly arrived slaves.
He raised his head.
"What is going on?"
A subordinate ran over, his face pale.
"Lord Geluke... the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance has broken in... the port side has already fallen..."
Geluke's pupils contracted violently.
"How many people?"
"I don't know... many... they are wearing yellow armor..."
After a second of Silence, Geluke made a prompt decision.
"Open all the cages."
The subordinate was stunned.
"What?"
Geluke looked at him.
"Open all the cages. Let the slaves run."
The subordinate asked.
"Why? Those slaves are worth a lot of money..."
Geluke interrupted him.
"Is money more important or is your life more important? If those slaves run, the pirates will fall into chaos. Only when it is chaotic will we have a chance to run."
The subordinate nodded and turned to open the cages.
Geluke took an Energy Pistol from the weapon cabinet and checked the ammunition.
"Lord Geluke, where are you going?"
Another subordinate asked.
Geluke looked toward the direction of the port.
"To find a way to escape."
He walked out of the slave market and disappeared into the chaotic crowd.
Sailusi walked along the corridor toward the Command Center.
On both sides of the corridor, pirates surged in from all directions.
Some hid behind cover to shoot, some rushed up attempting hand-to-hand combat, and some turned and ran.
But no matter what they did, the result was the same.
Death.
The roar of the Bolter echoed in the corridor, each shot hitting a target with precision.
The roar of the Chainsword rose and fell, each swing bringing up a mist of blood.
A Sota rushed out from the side, four arms each wielding an Energy Blade, hacking madly at Sailusi.
Sailusi did not dodge, simply raising his left arm to block those four Energy Blades.
The blades carved a few shallow marks on his vambrace, but did not penetrate.
Saiweilu's right hand had already seized his head.
Fingers tightened.
The sound of a skull shattering echoed in the corridor.
Saiweilu threw away the corpse and continued walking forward.
At the end of the corridor, a heavy metal door blocked the way.
"Command Center."
Saiweilu said in a low voice.
He raised his Bolter and fired three shots in succession at the door lock.
The lock exploded, and the metal door slid open slowly.
Behind the door, a dozen or so pirates were holding weapons, aiming at the entrance.
Saiweilu did not hesitate and charged straight in.
