Chapter 28: Even You Cannot Defeat My Soldiers
Wang Hu was considered a student with relatively high grades in his class, and the Back Spirit he awakened was a Fireball mage.
After hearing cries for help coming from outside the dormitory this evening, he instinctively went out to check what was happening.
Upon going out, he discovered a humanoid Zerg in the hallway, stuffing a Zerg egg into the mouth of a student who was struggling desperately. Not long after the student struggled, their body began to change; fine scales started growing on the surface of their skin, and their mouth split open into four petals, their scarlet eyes devoid of any human rationality.
Seeing this scene, a surge of intense anger and fear welled up in Wang Hu's heart. He knew that these Zerg were using humans as hosts to hatch more Zerg offspring.
He summoned his Back Spirit—the Fireball mage—without hesitation. The figure of the Fireball mage appeared behind him, surrounded by scorching flames.
Wang Hu launched an attack against the humanoid Zerg, carrying the flames with him. He released streaks of scorching Fireball, which flew rapidly toward the Zerg.
The Fireball hit the target, erupting with dazzling light and high heat. Under the burning of the flames, the humanoid Zerg let out a shrill scream, its body gradually charred, and it finally turned into a pile of Ashes.
Wang Hu rushed forward quickly, attempting to rescue the student who had been parasitized by the Zerg egg. However, he discovered that the student's body had already begun to mutate and could not be reversed.
He closed his eyes in pain, unable to bear looking any longer. He knew that this student was no longer Human, but had become a part of the Zerg.
Wang Hu took a deep breath and decided to completely eliminate the student, lest they become an accomplice to the Zerg. He ordered the Fireball mage to release its strongest fire attack, turning the student into Ashes.
Afterward, he saw that some dormitories had already been occupied by the Zerg, and the people inside had quickly turned into enemies. Wang Hu retreated to his dormitory and explained the situation outside to his roommates.
"There are too many enemies outside; we cannot rush out. If there are any survivors nearby in a while, we will pull them into our dormitory. Each extra person is one more chance at survival," Wang Hu said, looking at his three roommates.
The other three had no objections, but just then, the dormitory door was kicked open by a humanoid Zerg. Upon seeing the four students inside, a few drops of saliva dripped from the corners of its mouth, and a foul odor assailed their nostrils.
The Zerg lunged toward Wang Hu rapidly. When Wang Hu turned his head, he found that this Zerg was already close to him, and he felt as if his great-grandmother was already beckoning to him from not far away.
"Bang!"
A huge shield appeared in front of Wang Hu, blocking the Zerg's attack. Wang Hu was knocked back for several seconds by the powerful force.
"Damn! Thanks, Old Qiao!" Wang Hu thanked the roommate who had summoned the shield, then flames erupted from his hands, knocking the humanoid Zerg out of the dormitory.
"Damn! Where did all these Zerg pop out from!" Wang Hu couldn't help but complain.
When Yingzhou pushed forward to the dormitory where the battle had just taken place, he saw that the four people inside were not significantly injured, so he asked, "Do you choose to come with me or stay here?"
Wang Hu looked at the strong student before him, then glanced at the Krieg soldiers beside him who were filled with a murderous aura, and slowly said, "Classmate, we will go with you. You are Yingzhou from the elite class, right?"
"Hmm? You know me?" Yingzhou didn't recognize the student before him and asked curiously.
"I've heard of you. Everyone in the school knows there is a student named Yingzhou in the elite class who can summon many soldiers and is very strong!" Wang Hu nodded and replied.
Wang Hu's answer made Yingzhou slightly stunned; he hadn't expected his reputation in school to have already spread here.
"Since you have chosen to come with me, I will not let you down," Yingzhou said in a deep voice. "We must finish searching this building quickly and retreat once we are sure there are no survivors."
After speaking, Yingzhou turned to the Krieg soldiers and said, "We need to push forward quickly!"
The Krieg soldiers acted rapidly. They quickened their pace as they pushed forward, passing through the dormitory hallway, and more roars appeared ahead.
"Go to hell! You Alien Race!"
"Helao Da, I never expected you to turn into a Zerg!"
"Don't even think about making us become monsters like you!"
Yingzhou and his group pushed past a corner and saw seven or eight humanoid Zerg corpses already lying behind Helao Da, while the situation of the students facing Helao Da was not looking optimistic at the moment.
Several students had already been seriously injured and were being carried to the back by other students. The man facing Helao Da in the front was looking at his opponent with a solemn expression.
"You are all too fragile; you lose your combat effectiveness after being slightly injured. But I am different. As long as those guys you just killed are granted power by the Mother God again, they will be resurrected. Join us and become a greater existence."
"Helao Da! What 'greater existence'? You are nothing but a pathetic wretch!"
An ill-timed mockery came from behind Helao Da. Upon hearing this voice, Helao Da turned his head to look at Yingzhou.
"Hahaha, Yingzhou! I didn't expect you to really walk into this dormitory building! It seems you are quite brave!"
The parts of Helao Da's body that had been pierced by the Krieg soldiers had already healed, leaving only a few scars.
"It seems you still don't learn your lesson. I can beat you once, and I can beat you twice."
Yingzhou scanned Helao Da and the group of humanoid Zerg beside him and slowly said.
"Your soldier's bullets have a piercing effect. If you want the hostages behind me to be killed as well, then let your soldiers fire!"
Helao Da pointed at the dozen or so students behind him with impunity, the smile on his face becoming increasingly ferocious.
Yingzhou hadn't expected Helao Da to actually use the Krieg soldiers' laser bullets as a threat. Was he trying to threaten him not to open fire here?
"Heh, do you think you can beat me if you don't let my soldiers fire at you?" Yingzhou chuckled twice, looked at Helao Da not far away, and retorted.
"Hmph, otherwise? I am much stronger now than I was before! How could you possibly beat me?"
Seeing that his threat had worked, Helao Da smiled as if he had succeeded.
"No, you can't even beat my soldiers!"
Yingzhou held the Krieg Charge Whistle he had redeemed earlier in his hand and said disdainfully.
And just as he summoned 20 more Krieg soldiers, the already somewhat crowded hallway became even more crowded.
Yingzhou shouted loudly at these Krieg soldiers.
"Soldiers! Close in and clear out these Alien Race! Use your weapons to send them to meet their Mother God!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Yingzhou blew the Charge Whistle, and the sharp sound of the whistle rang out in the hallway.
