Chapter 1994

~11 min read 2,193 words

Next to it was a toy store, selling all sorts of Star Wars-themed handicrafts, including plush dolls of classic characters, classic lightsaber ornaments, badges, chess pieces, and gift sets of action figures.

Although Shiler was not a Star Wars fan, he was still quite interested in some of the classic figures. He bought a small Master Yoda doll, then bought some badges to take back as gifts for the staff at Arkham Asylum.

This was Stark's home turf. He began to endlessly educate Steve on the character prototypes of the dolls and what they had done, and started a frantic shopping spree, buying almost every item in the store. In the end, Shiler had to use his gray mist to help him carry them.

Finally, there was the most popular Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities. Dok-Ondar was an alien with a long neck and purplish-red skin, and he was also the most famous treasure collector on Batuu. The protagonist and his group came to visit him, actually wanting to obtain the lightsaber lost here by the Star Wars protagonist.

The items sold here leaned more toward being exquisite and elegant, and the style was relatively retro, such as globes with fine metal decorations, cups printed with Batuu-style patterns, small brass statues of past protagonists, and coins with embossed heads.

This was the gift shop in the Star Wars area, and of course, it was also Ororo's home turf, because she knew Professor X liked this type of style very much, and placing them in the British-style Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters wouldn't seem out of place.

Then she also bought cups and coasters for the female colleagues at the school, statue ornaments for the male colleagues, and what puzzled the group the most was that she had actually specifically bought a long brass sword for Wolverine.

"Don't look at me like that. It was when Jean called me earlier, she kept complaining that Logan had been searching for a long sword that was displayed on the porch cabinet of the Howlett estate when he was young. If he couldn't find it, he intended to just leave the porch of his new house empty."

Ororo looked down at the gift box she was carrying and said, "I don't know if this one will satisfy him, but I think the color of this sword matches his claws quite well."

By this time it was already past twelve noon, and the group was a bit hungry, so they didn't continue browsing the shops, but instead came to an extremely classic Star Wars scene, the best bar in the entire universe—Oga's Cantina.

The bar's entrance was small, a triangle with a rounded arc, filled with a rich, bustling atmosphere. After walking inside, there was a huge steampunk-style circular bar, with all sorts of people gathered around it, whispering and talking.

It was currently mealtime, so there were many people in the bar, and it was very noisy with heat rising. However, many people had already put on the costumes they bought at the clothing store, so it actually made the place look like a busy interstellar bar.

As soon as Steve walked over, the bearded bar owner used the bottom of a cup to knock hard on the countertop and said, "Look who it is, the famous Captain America from Earth. How do you have time for a drink today?"

Steve didn't shy away either, smiling as he walked over to sit by the bar and said, "I just came from the Andromeda Galaxy. We all heard that things haven't been peaceful in the Centaurus region lately."

"Oh, that's too bad." The bar owner raised the cup in his hand, turned around to pour drinks for the group, and said, "Interstellar pirates are running rampant again. That blue-skinned guy named Yondu doesn't know what got into his head, actually going head-to-head with the Kree Empire's escort fleet. If you ask me, he's truly stupid to the core."

Shiler and Stark both noticed that behind the circular bar, several smugglers wearing robes were whispering. Shiler pricked up his ears to listen; they were indeed discussing the situation in Centaurus.

"I don't know what the boss is thinking. What does building a security system in the Ring Sector have to do with us? We should just eat and drink when we go back to Centaurus. Can't we live without that little bit of smuggling profit?"

"Besides," one of the smugglers looked around at the surrounding environment and said, "This Earth doesn't look any different from Centaurus. The bar is still dilapidated, just like my hometown."

Another one gave him a light shove and said, "Talk less. Just do whatever the boss tells you to do. Is the beacon set? If the spaceship lands in the wrong place, watch out, the boss might feed you to the raccoon."

"Don't even mention that raccoon. I accidentally stepped on his tail last time, and he almost blew my chin off with one shot. He's not big, but his temper is certainly not small..."

Just at this moment, Shiler saw that the hand of one of the people holding a wine glass only had four fingers. This was definitely not something that could be done with special effects props.

He narrowed his eyes and lightly nudged Stark, who was studying the liquid in his glass, with his elbow. Stark leaned over, looked past the pillar in the middle of the circular bar, and looked toward the opposite side.

A flash of light shone on his sunglasses, and Stark raised an eyebrow and said, "The two aliens look like they should be the native race of the Green Land planet in Centaurus, called the Tata race... or maybe the Papa race, I forgot."

Stark lightly pressed a button on his glasses, and a lot of data appeared before his eyes. He clicked his tongue and then said, "This race is really ugly, like lizards walking upright."

"Sounds like they are Yondu's men." Shiler took a sip of the cold drink and then said, "Yondu wants to come to Earth? How could Thor let him in?"

"Does he want to fly a spaceship in? Our spaceport isn't finished yet, and there's no place for large spaceships to park. If they want to come, they can only fly those small spaceships that can only carry a few people. Those Asgardians probably aren't afraid of that."

"The question is, what is he coming here for?" Shiler said with some confusion, "He wouldn't be here for a vacation, would he?"

"That bearded guy is a mimic." Stark glanced to the side and said, "There are quite a few aliens in this bar right now. I have to say, they do a pretty good job of pretending to be human."

"Can they not? Yondu's adopted son is an Earthling, Peter Quill. Don't you remember him?"

"I only remember Peter Parker." Stark took another sip of his drink, and just as he was about to speak, he saw a burly figure and a woman walk in. He sneered and said, "Two more aliens."

The ones who arrived were Clark and Diana. As soon as Diana entered the bar, she became vigilant. At first glance, she could tell that many of the tourists here were not human.

And the pirates, who were more sensitive to energy than humans, immediately felt the powerful divine power radiating from Diana. The atmosphere in the bar instantly froze.

Many people stood up and stared coldly at Diana. The bearded man wiped the glass in his hand, tilted his head, and said, "A god? How could you be here?"

"That's what I should be asking you." Diana stared tightly at the bearded man's face and said, "You are not human. Why are you on Earth?"

"Looks like you're from the indigenous pantheon, but I advise you to stay out of our business, little girl."

As the bearded man spoke, a group of people wearing smuggler robes gathered around.

The remaining humans all stretched their necks with great interest, thinking this was a special program arranged by the park.

The next second, Diana flew directly into the air, her black hair dancing without wind, and the light of divine power overflowing from her eyes.

With a 'whoosh', the Lasso of Truth flew out, binding the bearded man opposite her tightly. Diana's figure nimbly lunged to the right, knocking down one of the smugglers on the far side with an uppercut, followed immediately by a mid-air whip kick, knocking down a whole row of people opposite her.

"Wait! Stop!!!"

Captain America shouted, "There are many people here, you can't fight here, everyone leave this place!"

"I am saving them." Diana looked coldly at Captain America and said, "These aliens have a very strong stench of blood on them. They are either pirates or smugglers. Do you expect the police to deal with them?"

"This is Earth, not anyone's dueling ground. Stop immediately!" Captain America shouted, his voice sinking into his dantian.

At this time, the pirates wearing smuggler robes had already started to draw their weapons. Clark also realized he couldn't sit idly by, and the red laser beams from his eyes directly knocked the gun out of a pirate's hand.

Stark threw a card upward, his armor instantly armed, and the spear in T'Challa's hand also emitted a shining laser.

Shiler saw that the situation was not right, immediately pulled Ororo over, and whispered a few words to her.

"Who exactly are you?" Diana, floating in mid-air, stared tightly at the bearded man bound by the Lasso of Truth.

"We are subordinates of the interstellar pirate Yondu."

"What are you doing here?"

"Yondu didn't tell us, but he needed us to infiltrate human society first, place beacons at designated locations, and guide the spaceship to land..."

Captain America opened his eyes wide as he looked at the bearded man, and T'Challa also narrowed his eyes, saying in a cold tone, "Interstellar pirates want to invade Earth? Who gave you the courage?"

"Stop wasting time with them." The mysterious light on Diana's body surged again, and she said, "The best way to deal with this group of aliens is to let them know how powerful we are."

After saying this, she was about to dive again, but at this moment, a pale figure floated up slowly, and extreme cold descended instantly.

Storm's long hair danced along with the ice storm, and the moment her eyes turned completely white, the polar storm ravaged the entire scene.

With a 'whoosh', everyone was frozen in place.

The area outside the bar was not affected. The humans who didn't know what was going on only felt a cold wind. Shiler, who had long since hidden outside the circle, walked in at this time and said.

"If Yondu wants to come, let him come. With so many of us here, are we still afraid of dealing with a pirate leader? Besides, he was able to enter the Nine Realms, so he must have been allowed by Thor. Maybe he's here to talk business."

"Regardless, we'll wait for his spaceship to land tonight and see what tricks he wants to play. Everyone disperse now."

After the freezing was lifted, both sides basically lost their temper. The human side was considerate of the ordinary people here, fearing that the other side would be desperate, and the other side didn't dare to offend the superheroes too much. On one hand, they really couldn't beat them, and more importantly, if they affected Yondu's plan, they would be in big trouble.

Just as they were about to disperse, the humans in the bar became excited and started to applaud and cheer wildly, which completely confused the pirates.

At this time, the real bearded bartender who had been knocked out in the back rushed out and said, "Today is a real celebration, let's have a drink!"

It seemed this was his original line, but in order to ease the atmosphere and let the ordinary people treat this as a real performance, Captain America also very cooperatively raised his glass and said.

"That was just a misunderstanding earlier, I'll pay for everyone's consumption!"

"Oh!!!!" Even more intense cheers erupted.

Captain America also looked at the bearded man who had already walked to the back door with a provocative gaze. The bearded man gave a muffled grunt and also said loudly, "Give them each a glass of the best wine, it's on me!"

Shiler darted to the bar, lowered his voice, and asked, "How much is the most expensive wine here?"

"Uh... about 68 dollars?"

Shiler grabbed T'Challa and pointed to the wine barrel behind him, saying, "The best craft beer on Earth is of course Vibranium-infused. Look, how much Vibranium can you add to this barrel?"

T'Challa stared wide-eyed at Shiler, and Shiler also looked at him.

After the two stared at each other for dozens of seconds, T'Challa looked left and right, then lowered his voice like a thief and said, "We don't have that much stock right now, it hasn't been smelted yet."

"Have you ever heard of futures?"
