Chapter 5: Volume 1 Chapter 5  Dangerous Professor Makes My Soul Dizzy (5)

~7 min read 1,308 words

After a dental examination, it turned out her wisdom tooth was inflamed.

With an inflamed wisdom tooth, she couldn't have it pulled yet; she had to wait until the inflammation subsided.

The doctor gave her an injection of anti-inflammatory medicine and also picked out some anti-inflammatory medication for her.

Jiang Zhi fears nothing except injections.

After leaving the clinic, she looked toward Huo Yin; her clear, dark eyes were misty, the corners reddened as if she had been crying.

"It really hurts."

Huo Yin said, "Once the tooth inflammation goes down, we can pull it."

Jiang Zhi turned into a whining creature, "My butt hurts!"

Huo Yin: "."

Jiang Zhi was truly in pain, limping to his front; with her swollen jaw, she looked especially pitiful.

Huo Yin stepped forward, took hold of her arm, and, inexplicably, said, "I'll carry you."

He regretted it the moment he spoke.

But the girl's miserable cheeks lifted suddenly, her eyes seeming to fill with countless stars, "Okay."

Having said that, she excitedly wrapped her arms around the man's neck, tiptoed, and jumped onto his back.

The sudden closeness caught Huo Yin off guard; feeling the soft body pressed against his back, his whole body stiffened abruptly.

"I'm fine now!" Jiang Zhi whispered to remind him.

Huo Yin's thin, dark lips pressed tight; he reached out to steady her legs that were about to slip, then strode outside.

The distance from the hospital to the car wasn't far, but for Huo Yin this stretch felt endless.

The girl slumped on his back seemed no longer in pain anywhere, leaning against his shoulder, she asked, "Once my tooth inflammation subsides, Teacher Huo, can you bring me back to the hospital to have it pulled?"

The girl's warm, moist breath, tinged with a faint fragrance, sprayed onto his ear.

To the naked eye, the man's ear took on a hint of red.

Huo Yin frowned slightly, his stiff body growing tenser, his thoughts fixed on his ear, he murmured in reply, "Okay."

Jiang Zhi gave a small smile, "As promised."

They arrived by the car.

Huo Yin immediately released his grip and helped her to her feet.

The car drove toward Jiang Zhi's residential community.

Along the way, Jiang Zhi closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Perhaps because she hadn't slept well due to the toothache the night before, as soon as she leaned against the seat she grew so drowsy she couldn't keep her eyes open.

Midway through the journey, Huo Yin suddenly pulled the car over to the side of the road.

This stretch of road sees little traffic, the sky overcast, the interior of the car dim and silent enough to be frightening.

Huo Yin unfastened his seatbelt, turned his head toward the sleeping girl, and the dark lenses of his eyes narrowed dangerously.

The person before him had not a shred of caution, just sleeping there like that—just as when he once posed as a delivery boy to bring her takeout, the girl had likewise let down her guard so easily, even leaving him alone in her house while she went out to buy medicine.

Foolish.

Completely lacking vigilance.

She was the stupidest of all his prey.

Huo Yin snorted in laughter.

Right now was an excellent opportunity.

Huo Yin's fingers reached for the storage box, inside which lay his tools for extracting eyeballs and an anesthetic syringe.

But his fingers halted in midair, delaying the opening of the box.

After a while.

Huo Yin restarted the engine and continued driving.

Her wisdom tooth was inflamed and she had taken anti-inflammatory medicine; if he removed her eyeball now, it wouldn't be as exquisite and perfect.

Let's wait until she's better, then talk about it.

Huo Yin thought to himself.

Outside the window the sky gradually darkened, darkness creeping in, no light to be seen.

When Jiang Zhi woke up, she still thought she was at home, tried to sit up, bumped her head on the car roof with a bang, and felt a sharp pain.

When the car lights switched on, they suddenly dispelled the darkness inside.

Jiang Zhi saw the familiar scene and the man before her, rubbed her forehead, blinked dazedly, and said, "Still, still in the car."

Huo Yin had never seen such a foolish person before and was momentarily unable to reply.

After a moment, he answered with an "uh."

Jiang Zhi let out an "ah," took out her phone, and glanced at the time.

It was already eight-thirty.

She had slept from five-thirty in the afternoon until now.

She hadn't eaten dinner.

Thinking of dinner, her stomach began to growl.

Jiang Zhi held her stomach and gave an embarrassed laugh, "Sorry, I slept too long."

In the cramped, quiet space, Huo Yin naturally heard her stomach growl; he pressed his hand against the outside of the storage box, restraining himself, and said in a low voice, "Let's go get dinner."

Upon hearing that, Jiang Zhi instantly lost her post‑nap drowsiness, "Isn't it a bit late to keep taking up your time?"

She said it wasn't good, but her face was full of excitement and she had no intention of getting out of the car to go home.

Huo Yin: "."

Start the engine.

The car stopped before a high-end restaurant; as she followed Huo Yin out and stepped inside, the light was bright, and the restaurant's architecture and decoration everywhere exuded expensive luxury.

Although Jiang Zhi had money in her account, she would never come to a place meant to make people spend foolishly.

But if someone else is treating, it's different.

She looked at the dazzling menu, and her fingers couldn't help but twitch with desire.

Huo Yin coldly and mercilessly snatched the menu from her hand, saying, "Your wisdom teeth are inflamed; you can't eat spicy food."

Jiang Zhi: "???"

Watching Huo Yin order her a bowl of bland millet porridge, Jiang Zhi wanted to protest, "Since we're here, let me have just one! I promise I won't eat spicy food again!"

Huo Yin's attitude was clear: "No."

Jiang Zhi unhappily pursed her lips, muttering, "Who comes to a place like this and only drinks porridge!"

Who does that?

Devil!

He is just a devil!

Although Huo Yin couldn't hear her thoughts, from her expression he knew she was surely cursing him in her heart.

The corner of his mouth involuntarily rose.

Actually, seeing her pout made him quite happy too.

After finishing dinner, she said goodbye to Huo Yin.

Jiang Zhi sincerely thanked him, "Thank you, Teacher Huo!"

After she left, Huo Yin got into the car, preparing to go home.

His gaze suddenly fell on the scattered beige wool scarf on the passenger seat; he raised an eyebrow, reached out and lifted a corner of the scarf, and a unique fragrance of a girl wafted up to him.

This fragrance was intoxicating, hard to break free from.

Huo Yin's fingers, holding the corner of the scarf, gradually tightened.

Suddenly, he brought his nose close to the edge of the scarf.

The fragrance was rich, with a hint of warmth.

After taking a bath, Jiang Zhi lay on the warm bed, unaware that the man was perversely sniffing her scarf.

She rolled around comfortably, as if the day's fatigue had all dissipated.

777 suddenly spoke: "Villain Huo Yin Favorability 23."

Jiang Zhi rubbed her stomach full of millet porridge and murmured, "The millet porridge wasn't wasted."

She then added, "Still pretty stingy."

After so long, only 23 favorability had been added; thinking that after favorability comes hatred value, Jiang Zhi felt the road ahead was vast and uncertain.

777 wanted to say something but stopped: ". Having it is not bad."

Such a dangerous and inhumane pervert cannot gain much favorability in a short time; it needs to be gradual, step by step.
