Quarreling

Baini's expression turned ugly in an instant, and he looked at Baiqi and Lianxun, who were swimming toward them, as if facing a formidable enemy. "Why did you come?"

Baiqi swam over, holding Lianxun in an intimate manner. The two Beastmen had an excellent relationship; the usual stability on Baiqi's gentle face was diminished, replaced by a hint of joy, as if she were happier than Baini, who was getting married today.

"What kind of talk is that? Today you are getting married, and I, as your older sister, cannot come to chat with you?"

"Sister..." Baini looked at her with some helplessness. His gaze fell upon Lianxun beside her, and he turned his head away with a gloomy expression, not wanting to spare him even a single glance.

Lianxun arched his eyebrows slightly, playing with his own damp, hanging hair in a seductive manner. He cast a light, airy glance at Baini, his eyes filled with arrogance mixed with sparks of fire.

Baiqi, however, seemed completely unaware of the strange atmosphere between Baini and Lianxun. She turned her eyes toward the other female present and introduced him with an eager tone, "Chaosheng, this is my Beast Husband. His name is Lianxun."

"Isn't he good-looking? He is the best-looking Male Beastman in our Tribe!"

Chaosheng's eyes flickered, and she replied politely, "Baini has told me about him."

The last time she and Baiqi met, they were both a bit reserved.

She had not expected to see such a side of her; she was like a youth completely lost in passionate love, her brain burned by the fire of love and unable to hold anything else.

She was pressed tightly against Lianxun, the two of them as inseparable as conjoined twins.

This notorious criminal female must be thrilled to have latched onto Baini and Yinxu!

"He is my only Beast Husband. I like him very much."

Lianxun arched a brow, his body leaning obliquely against Baiqi like a willow branch. He lifted his chin slightly, arrogantly waiting for Chaosheng to call him brother-in-law.

Chaosheng's expression was indifferent. "Good, I know."

It was completely contrary to what Baiqi and Lianxun had expected.

Lianxun narrowed his eyes in resentment. A notorious criminal female dared to ignore him like this?

"Chaosheng, has some Beastman told you something?" The smile on Baiqi's lips stiffened, and her expression turned somewhat ugly. "You know, rumors cannot be taken as truth, and aren't you also..."

As if venting the anger that had been building up in his heart for a long time, Lianxun said all of this in one breath. Anyway, after Baini married this female, he could no longer be considered a Beastman of the Jingju Tribe.

Baiqi tugged at Lianxun's arm, signaling with a panicked look, "Lianxun, stop talking."

Baiqi's expression was stunned, as if she had been hurt by Baini's words. "Ani..."

Lianxun lowered his eyes, first soothing Baiqi in a gentle tone, "Mate, don't take it to heart."

Then, a flash of viciousness crossed his eyes. Again? They didn't put him in their eyes at all! None of these Beastmen thought highly of him!

"Baini, I was the one who said it. Why are you yelling at your sister?"

"And was there anything I said wrong?"

"Besides her looks, what is outstanding about this female you found?"

"As the Beastman with the most talent and potential in the Tribe, you found such a notorious female."

"You even implicated the Tribe so they couldn't buy the Sea Spirit Ginseng."

"Our Tribe doesn't just have you as a Beastman with special abilities."

"You are truly selfish!"

"And you still have the face to look down on me, to look down on Aqi!"

Chaosheng listened quietly. With every extra sentence she heard, her face grew darker.

By the time she heard the end, Chaosheng's beautiful face was already overcast with clouds, her purple eyes filled with frost.

"I am indeed a notorious female."

"But so what?" Chaosheng chuckled, a look of disdain flashing in her eyes. "At least I am upright and honorable."

"Unlike you, who are incompetent and therefore scheme against your Mate's younger brother."

"You..." Lianxun pointed at her viciously with a trembling hand. Since he married Baiqi, no Beastman had dared to point at him and curse him like this.

Even Baipei and Baini had to consider Baiqi's face; no matter how much they disliked him, they wouldn't be so insulting to him.

Chaosheng's expression was calm, her gaze indifferent, and a faint, elusive smile curled at her lips. "Me? How about it?"

"Was I wrong in what I said?"

"Lianxun, don't let me know you are still scheming against Baini behind my back."

"I will take responsibility for the Sea Spirit Ginseng matter myself; I will not let the Beastmen of the Jingju Tribe die from a Spiritual Sea Riot."

"Otherwise, I have plenty of ways to make your life miserable."

Lianxun's effeminate face was black to the extreme at this moment. On what grounds? How dare this female who has nothing be so arrogant?

Just because she is a female? Is that why the Leader accepted her so easily?

Baini looked away, not looking at her, his voice low, "Sister, you should take care of yourself."

"Mother will not allow an incompetent female to become the next Leader of the Tribe."
