Chapter 39: Beiyue Sea Snake

Beiyue Sea Snake

Did I transmigrate again?

Chaosheng rubbed her dizzy head, a faint sense of confusion rising in her eyes.

Watching the little mermaid wake up without even glancing at him, Zhuche frowned in displeasure, a flash of darkness crossing his eyes.

Her long hair, hanging down loosely, blocked half of Chaosheng's face. Zhuche leaned over, bypassing the scattered purple hair, his pair of forest-blue pupils staring straight at the little mermaid.

His bewitching, enchanting voice carried a faint hint of seduction, "Hmm?"

Her slender neck trembled as if sensing something; a jolt of electricity shot straight into her mind, bringing a wave of numbness. Chaosheng closed her eyes in discomfort, and only after recovering did she gently open them to look at the pale, bewitching face before her.

A hint of gloom gathered in her purple eyes as Chaosheng said calmly, "Who are you?"

Her consciousness finally cleared. Feeling the familiar large tail, Chaosheng knew she hadn't transmigrated a second time.

She even recalled the fight with those two Beastmen from the Whale Shark Tribe before she lost consciousness.

She vaguely remembered that she seemed to have burned that physician to death, but what about Xizhi? Did she die?

How did she end up here?

A sharp pain flashed through her mind, and in her hazy state, she remembered that feeling of suffocation and oppression.

She widened her eyes and tilted her neck from side to side. Hmm? Her neck didn't seem to hurt anymore.

The bewitching face in front of her leaned in close, and his damp, cold breath sprayed onto Chaosheng's face, causing a faint itch.

"Who am I?"

Zhuche hummed a soft laugh. He tilted his head in the same direction as Chaosheng, his eyes filled with doting amusement.

"Do you want to know?"

"If you want to know, give me a kiss."

"..." Chaosheng's brows furrowed, a flash of indignation at being offended flickering in her purple eyes. Where did this hooligan Beastman come from?

Thinking of this, Chaosheng looked down and saw a flat, long tail slightly curled up amidst the swirling black mist.

It swayed back and forth, and the blue tail was lined with neatly arranged red circular spots. The two brilliant, extreme colors of red and blue fiercely captured Chaosheng's gaze.

Her purple pupils moved slightly with the movement of the tail, and her ignorant expression, paired with her clear and stunningly beautiful face, radiated a unique kind of beauty.

"Snap!"

The flat, long snake tail tied itself into a knot before suddenly whipping straight.

Zhuche's bewitching face once again occupied Chaosheng's line of sight. His exquisite, deep features were magnified, and his enchanting blue eyes were filled with dissatisfaction. His low voice carried a sticky, damp quality, "Ignoring me?"

"Is it very good-looking?"

The distance between the two Beastmen was too close. Chaosheng instinctively retreated; this Beastman made her feel very strange and very uncomfortable.

It was clearly their first time meeting, yet he acted as if they had known each other for a long time.

A trace of imperceptible vigilance rippled through her purple eyes, "You tell me who you are first?"

"Hmph."

Zhuche let out a cold snort and straightened up haughtily, the emotion in his blue eyes fading slightly, "My name is Zhuche."

"I am a Sea Snake Beastman."

After hearing this, Chaosheng nodded slowly, "Oh."

She could tell; he was indeed a snake.

"...?" Zhuche suddenly felt a bit put out, his bewitching, pale face darkening.

Before they met, he had been worried and anxious, fearing that the little mermaid would loathe and fear him because of his identity as a Sea Snake Beastman.

But when it came time to confess, seeing the little mermaid's indifferent, clearly uninterested demeanor, he was so angry his teeth itched.

"Aren't you afraid??"

? Afraid?

She wasn't afraid of snakes; when she was learning about medicinal herbs in the past, she had even specifically caught venomous snakes to refine medicine.

However, this was her first time seeing a Sea Snake that had attained sentience.

Thinking of this, a glimmer of brightness flashed in the depths of Chaosheng's eyes, and her tone carried curiosity, "Should I be afraid?"

"What type of sea snake are you?"

"Are you the poisonous kind?"

Zhuche's eyelids drooped slightly, his tone deep as he mimicked Chaosheng's tone, "Where do you get so many questions?"

"You still haven't answered me." Chaosheng had relaxed by now, her eyes tinged with a hint of interest.

"What kind of sea snake are you, really?"

Veins throbbed on his temple. Zhuche twitched the corners of his mouth helplessly; he was completely at a loss with the Mermaid Female before him.

"I am a Beiyue Sea Snake."

"I am poisonous."

Zhuche caught sight of Chaosheng's unchanging expression, his eyes deepening. A wicked curve tugged at the corner of his mouth as he wanted to be mischievous, "The highly poisonous kind."

"Just a tiny bit of poison could kill a little mermaid like you a hundred times over."

Chaosheng's interest waned slightly, feeling a bit bored, "That doesn't seem very poisonous then."

Her body was so small that killing a hundred of her wouldn't amount to much; if she met a sea beast as large as Baini, it would probably be hard to even pierce his skin.

Having his ability questioned by the Mermaid Female, Zhuche ground his fangs with a "crackle" sound. His forest-blue snake pupils stared fixedly at the spot an inch above that beautiful little neck hollow, as if he could already smell the sweetness of her blood.

Hiss, he really wanted to give her a bite.

"Sigh." Chaosheng looked at this void of a space and said faintly, "Alright, I need to go back."

"How do I leave?"

"My Beast Husband must be waiting anxiously."

It is said that one cannot see the sky here, and there is no telling how much time has passed.

Baini and Yinxu must be worried.

The inhuman snake pupils turned slightly cold, and a beautiful line traced along his elegant jawline; Zhuche looked at Chaosheng with displeasure, his tone cold and gloomy: "You have a very good relationship with your Beast Husbands."

Chaosheng nodded without the slightest hesitation, her face full of matter-of-factness, "That is only natural."

"Otherwise, why would I have them be my Beast Husbands?"

Zhuche stared fixedly at her, as if trying to catch a trace of a lie on her face.

But, there was none.

His flat, long tail stiffened, and sharp fangs secreted highly toxic venom, which flowed down his throat with a sour and bitter taste.

Clearly, they haven't mated, have they?

How could a female resist the temptation of supernatural abilities and not mate with a Male Beastman?

There could only be one reason for that, and it is that she does not love her Beast Husbands.

Perhaps even to the point of loathing her Beast Husbands, disgusted by their touch.

That is why she has delayed mating for so long.

At the mere thought of this reason, Zhuche became so excited and delighted that his pupils trembled and he whipped his tail wildly.

But now the female is telling him that she and her Beast Husbands have a very good relationship?

His bewitching, pale face collapsed instantly, and his scarlet snake tongue wanted to flick out to lick the female, wanting to prove the intimacy they once shared.

"Why have you stopped talking?"

Chaosheng looked impatiently at this strange Sea Snake Beastman, "If you aren't going to speak, I'll go find the way myself."

Chaosheng felt that this place was too strange; she remembered that this world was supposed to be entirely ocean, wasn't it?

Yet here, there seemed to be no trace of the sea to be seen.

But she had already transmigrated, which meant that anything was possible.

Perhaps this world was just this strange?!

Her large purple tail landed on the black mist, and strangely, it was not at all as difficult to move as it had been on the Ice Shore; she could actually swim as freely as if she were in the ocean.

Chaosheng swam around a couple of times in wonder, finding it extremely novel.

Sensing the female's happiness, the black mist ingratiatingly rubbed against her beautiful fish scales, contentedly accompanying the little female as she played.
