Chapter 96: Initial Preparation of the Antidote

Initial Preparation of the Antidote

The Beastman who arrived was none other than the Whale Shark Tribe elder; he was bruised and swollen, his body hunched, following behind Baini.

He looked as if he had suffered a tremendous grievance.

Baini shrugged his shoulders and explained with an indifferent expression, "I just wanted to catch any random Beastman."

"Then I happened to run into him, so I brought him along."

With so many Beastmen in the Polar Sea who had consumed Sea Spirit Ginseng, Baini had originally intended to just find one near the Black Rift Valley and be done with it.

Who knew that the group of Beastmen at the Black Rift Valley would all be arguing.

It was nothing more than the Whale Shark Tribe and other Beastmen in a standoff.

Seeing this, Baini had a bit of a mischievous thought and brought the Whale Shark Tribe elder along.

He hadn't agreed at first, but after being punched twice, he slumped over and accepted his fate.

Tsk, how boring.

Chaosheng looked at the wrinkled, dispirited Whale Shark Tribe elder; a flash of helplessness crossed her face, and after a soft sigh, she said, "Forget it, this will do."

Her probing gaze fell upon the Whale Shark Tribe elder, and Chaosheng asked calmly, "Have you consumed Sea Spirit Ginseng?"

"About how much have you consumed?"

The Whale Shark Tribe elder rubbed his hands together, his eyes full of calculation looking at her hesitantly, and he stammered, "Used it, of course I've used it."

"Before, it was basically three stalks a day; now, it's usually one stalk a day."

As for why it became one stalk a day, that was something to ask her.

The Whale Shark Tribe elder glared at Chaosheng with resentment.

Chaosheng ignored the malicious look from the Whale Shark Tribe elder; she calculated in her mind, and the look she gave the Whale Shark Tribe elder changed, as if she were looking at a dead man.

He had eaten that much?

Although the toxicity of the Sixth Tier takes effect slowly, one cannot be so reckless.

Chaosheng looked at Changye, who was standing idly to the side, "Changye, come over and assist me."

"Oh, alright."

Changye walked over, somewhat dazed, and waited quietly for Chaosheng's instructions.

Chaosheng took the White Cold Leaves to the shore, used wind to isolate a small space, introduced a wisp of seawater, and ignited a cluster of flames beneath the seawater with her other hand.

The wind above rotated rapidly, condensing the steam and channeling it into another small space.

Once only some salt and impurities remained in the seawater, Chaosheng withdrew that part of her ability, and the salt grains fell gently.

Next, focusing all her attention on this separated pure water, she placed the two White Cold Leaves into it.

She ignited flames beneath it again, waiting for the fire to heat the water bit by bit.

The dancing yellow flames were reflected in her purple eyes; Chaosheng observed them without moving, the green leaves slowly dyeing the water green, brewing from pale green to deep green.

After a while, Chaosheng withdrew the flames and looked at Changye, "Feed him a drop of blood."

"Huh?" Changye looked at the Whale Shark Tribe elder with disgust; wouldn't giving it to this kind of Beastman be a total waste of his ability?

Then he looked at Chaosheng, full of reluctance, and pleaded, "Can I not give it to him?"

Chaosheng laughed helplessly, as if looking at a disobedient child; the medicinal liquid in her hand was still bubbling and churning, and she gently persuaded, "Be good, I want to see the effect."

"Tsk! Are you capable or not?" Baini lowered his brows and eyes, looking at Changye impatiently, "What are you dawdling for?"

"Oh, alright." Changye hung his head in defeat, walked over listlessly, and looked at this detestable Whale Shark Tribe elder; a trace of malice flashed in his deep black eyes. Taking advantage of the Whale Shark Tribe elder's lack of attention, he pinched his jaw open fiercely, then put the index finger of his other hand into his mouth, steeled his heart, and bit it until it bled, "You'd better catch it!"

The bleeding finger hovered above the Whale Shark Tribe elder's face, and the fresh blood condensed into a drop, dripping into the Whale Shark Tribe elder's mouth.

The Whale Shark Tribe elder looked in terror as this drop of blood entered his mouth; he had heard that some Beastmen's blood was poisonous—these Beastmen weren't trying to poison him to death, were they!

After completing the task, Changye quickly flung the Whale Shark Tribe elder's jaw away as if he had touched something dirty, then bared his teeth and ran to the seaside to wash his hands.

"Chaosheng, I'm done."

"Good."

Chaosheng's attention was entirely on the Whale Shark Tribe elder; just before, Chaosheng had already placed a wisp of Witch Power onto the Whale Shark Tribe elder's body.

Having probed the Whale Shark Tribe elder's physical condition, it stayed inside.

Until that drop of blood fell, the originally black-green and moldy internal organs improved by two parts, the ominous black-green aura diminished, and some of the already necrotic organs slowly recovered.

Is this Changye's ability?

It is indeed interesting.

A very useful ability.

Chaosheng nodded slightly, feeling that wisp of Witch Power with great spirit.

After figuring out the situation, she raised her eyebrows, "Baini, open his mouth."

"Alright."

Receiving the instruction, Baini walked over without a moment's delay.

The Whale Shark Tribe elder widened his eyes, looking in panic at this powerful and highly oppressive Male Beastman; the fear in his heart left him unable to speak, and he could only shake his head helplessly—no, don't.

He didn't want to die yet; he still wanted to live a little longer.

Baini looked at the middle-aged old man who was crying from fear; a flash of disgust crossed his eyes, and his tone was fierce, "Cooperate!"

With great force, he restrained the elder's jaw, forcing his mouth open.

Immediately after, a stream of scalding water drilled into his mouth, sliding down his throat.

The Whale Shark Tribe elder thought in despair, it's over, I'm really going to die this time.

Once the last drop of medicinal liquid was fed, Chaosheng signaled to Baini that he could let go; Baini simply gave a flick of his hand, and the Whale Shark Tribe elder's face slammed to the side, gasping roughly in a wretched state, unable to catch his breath, "Cough, cough!"

"Ha..."

He clutched his throat in fear, as if that would prevent that strange water from entering his body.

Chaosheng walked slowly to stand before him, her rounded toes tapping slightly, and her cold, eerie voice drifted down from above, "If you don't cooperate, you will truly die."

"I... cough, cough."

Elder Whale Shark leaned forward weakly and said with resentment, "I won't believe your ghost stories!"

"Watch your tone!"

Before Chaosheng could speak, Baini, having heard this, kicked Elder Whale Shark directly in the tailbone, knocking him flat onto the ground.

Elder Whale Shark, stripped of his former majesty, lay dejectedly on the icy ground, feeling that heat surging into his body; it was over, he was truly going to be killed by these Beastmen.

Chaosheng saw exactly what Elder Whale Shark was thinking at a glance and was provoked into a laugh, "I already said, you won't die."

"It is only because you are lucky today that you were chosen by Baini."

"Otherwise, given your condition, you wouldn't live past three months."

"You're spouting nonsense!" Elder Whale Shark roared in a rage while lying on the ground, his neck bulging with the effort, "How could I possibly not live past three months!"

"I am perfectly fine!"

Hearing this, the corners of Chaosheng's mouth curled into an ambiguous arc, her deep purple eyes dark and inscrutable, "Of course you would think you are perfectly fine."
