Chapter 786: Keep the most beautiful time

Keep the most beautiful time.

May 9: Keep the most beautiful time.

The little bird still sings on the branch, the rose still buds in the morning dew, and blossoms in the sunlight..

History is nothing but a long dream, while reality is as beautiful as a fairy tale. Both the blooming and the falling of flowers are equally beautiful; they are colors scattered in time and space.

Thus a poet once questioned himself, saying: 'I can lock my heart, so why can I not lock away love and sorrow? In my long life, why is joy always like a fresh flower, appearing and then withering? What passes the quickest is always the most beautiful time.'

Facing the fleeting years, the poet asks, 'What passes the quickest?' Why are those always the most beautiful times? The poet wants to keep the most beautiful time!

Keeping the most beautiful time is not only the poet's wish; it is also everyone's wish. The Analects also record that Confucius had this wish: 'When the Master stood by the river, he said: "Those who have passed are like this, never ceasing day and night."' Even Confucius, seeing the rushing river, sighed, saying: 'This fleeting time is like water that flows away and never returns, departing day and night without cease. When will it ever return?' What more can we say of ourselves?

"Withered flowers cling to the luxuriant branches,

The birds have flown away,

Scattered, the fallen red petals cover the ground——

"Is life also merely such a glance?"

This too is the poet lamenting the flow of years, the hurry of time, and the brevity of life.

Then what exactly is the most beautiful time in life?

The answer is surely diverse. Lu Xun's answer to us is this: one must preserve life, two must continue life, three must manifest life. According to Lu Xun's words, the meaning is very clear: life is the finest, the time of life's existence is the beautiful time: we must cherish the time of life's existence, manifest life's beauty, and create beauty for the world........ \\
