Chapter 646

Others had no idea about their plan.

Luo En frowned tightly; up until now, he had also guessed this.

But he still held out hope that perhaps one of the curses had been caught by him, yet also knew the enemy's plan.

But now it seemed this possibility was extremely low.

What Luo En needed to do now was to catch someone close to a lord curse.

But this was clearly very difficult, and would easily alert the enemy.

Luo En looked at Taiyilang.

After a moment of thought, Taiyilang spoke.

"If that's the case, then we can only take a desperate risk and strike now at those close to the lord curses."

Just as Luo En and the others were about to act, they suddenly felt something strange in the surrounding air.

Luo En looked at Taiyilang in surprise, while Taiyilang wore an expression of terror.

"It seems we've been exposed."

Because they had previously captured many curses, and all of those curses had vanished, the lord curses had quickly become alert.

They had planted numerous spies nearby, and Luo En and Taiyilang's actions were immediately detected by these spies.

Moments later, curses surged toward Luo En and the others from all directions, surrounding them in an instant.

"We meet again."

The lord curse's voice carried rolling fury.

He had already arrived before Luo En, and now his face was full of killing intent.

Luo En could feel the killing intent emanating from him, yet he still stared expressionlessly at the lord curse.

"Yes, we truly meet again, but it seems your situation is rather dire now."

Luo En said with a smile.

The lord curse glared angrily at Luo En.

"I gave you a chance before, but you didn't cherish it. Do you really think you can escape now?"

Luo En looked around at the curses and said helplessly.

"It seems I truly can't escape now, but it doesn't matter—I don't intend to escape anymore."

The lord curse looked at Luo En in surprise.

"What? Do you now want to die heroically?"

Luo En said.

"Heroic, perhaps—but dying is unnecessary."

As he spoke, a round, plump object appeared in his hand.

The lord curse spoke coldly.

"Do you think you can escape from under my nose using the same trick again?"

Luo En shook his head and said.

"This is a gift I'm giving you. I hope you'll take a look."

This round, plump object was indeed somewhat different from the previous one.

The lord curse stared suspiciously at Luo En; at this point, what trick could Luo En possibly pull off?

He ordered the curses around him to watch him closely and not let him escape again.

Then he stepped forward to stand before Luo En.

Luo En smiled at the lord curse.

"I never imagined we'd meet again under such circumstances."

As he spoke, he extended his hand.

The lord curse did not reach out to take it; he merely stared at the object.

"What is this? Tell me immediately."

Luo En said.

"It's a treasure. As long as you channel energy into it, it will emit light."

"I saw it in a certain place before, so I kept it on me."

The lord was clearly surprised; he had indeed heard of such a treasure, and one seemed to be stored in his own vault.

But he hadn't expected Luo En to have one too—he immediately reached out to take the treasure and examined it closely.

Moments later, his expression turned grim; how could this object be so similar to his own treasure?

Luo En said.

"So far, I still don't know exactly what its function is, but I'd like to give it to you."

The lord spoke coldly.

"Do you think this thing alone is enough to buy your life?"

Luo En smiled.

"Isn't that enough?"

This pearl was what Luo En had taken from the vault; he still didn't know its effect.

But since the lord had hidden this thing in his vault, it must be a treasure.

Indeed, judging by the lord's expression, he seemed to greatly favor this treasure—Luo En gained some confidence.

"I think you already know what this thing does, without me having to explain."

"So I believe exchanging it for our lives is entirely fair. What do you say, Lord?"

The lord gazed at the treasure in his hand, pondered for a moment, then nodded.

"If that's the case, then use this treasure, along with others, to trade for your lives."

At that moment, two figures stumbled over and fell to their knees before the lord.

They spoke.

"The storage vault has been robbed—large quantities of treasure have been stolen."

The lord was stunned, his face turning pale with rage as he glared at Luo En.

"Did you do this?"

Luo En looked utterly innocent.

"How could it possibly be me? Your vault is heavily guarded—how could I possibly get in alone?"

The lord shouted loudly.

"Quickly, lead the way—I must see for myself what's happened to that vault."

Then he turned to the Curses beside him.

"Lock these two up—I'll deal with them properly when I return."

As the lord and the Curses departed, Luo En clenched his fist, having secretly activated his Curse Power.

In an instant, it imprinted upon one of the Curses.

Before the Curse could react, Luo En killed it with a single strike.

The remaining Curses surged forward, aiming to attack Luo En.

But now Luo En showed no mercy—he struck instantly and eliminated them all.

The leader among them was one of the lord's personal Curses, and so he was subdued by Luo En in an instant.

Taiyaro and Luo En swiftly dragged the Curse to a secluded spot.

The Curse stared coldly at Luo En.

"What exactly do you want? Do you really think your petty tricks can defeat my lord?"

"How laughable—you'll be killed by him soon."

Luo En spoke calmly.

"How we die is none of your concern—but you will certainly be killed by us."

As he spoke, he punched the Curse.

That punch, infused with Curse Power, sent searing pain through the Curse.

Then Luo En bound him to the ground.

The Curse glared furiously at Luo En.

"What exactly do you want?"
