Chapter 15: This human is pretty Waaagh!

~7 min read 1,312 words

The technology of the Green Skins is very strange.

At least to other normal races in the galaxy, the Green Skins' technology seems outright magical.

Because all of their technology stems from a mysterious power called "My Thought".

It's like an oil-burning engine that the Green Skins captured and installed on their own vehicle.

Faced with a situation where there's no oil to burn, if enough Green Skins use My Thought to burn soil, then this engine can burn soil.

Likewise, "My Thought" can not only be imbued into technological creations, but can also be used on anything.

For example, if enough Green Skins think you're Waaagh enough, then you truly are Waaagh enough.

Or, in human terms, you're really strong!

At this moment, Xisi rides his motorcycle, circling a group of Green Skins, his sidearm pointed at them, continually conveying fear to the Green Skin youths.

But when faced with Xisi's question, the youths were only briefly puzzled, then they stammered:

"My Thought...... you are."

One youth took the lead, the surrounding youths followed and nodded; seeing his goal achieved, Xisi twisted the throttle and chased after the other Green Skin youths.

Afterwards, the same encirclement, the same question; after receiving the same answer, Xisi continued to repeat the above process.

Only the legion soldiers at the back who completely didn't understand what Xisi was doing looked puzzled.

Until all the Green Skins fled, carrying a rumor that suddenly sprang up on Alert Star about the most Waaagh human, running toward the desert, did Xisi turn his bike around and return to the legion.

Such a few Green Skins could hardly generate My Thought, but Xisi wasn't worried about it.

Because even if only a hundred thousand Green Skins feel they're Waaagh enough, after a hundredfold increase it will become tens of millions of Green Skin My Thought.

And if it's a million, or even ten million...

I wouldn't dare say the influence could spread across the galaxy, but at least on Alert Star, Xisi will keep growing stronger under the Green Skins' My Thought.

The motorcycle returned, kicking up dust and sand.

A sandstorm swept through the army at great speed; at that moment all the soldiers, under clear skies, formed defensive formations, silently sitting on the ground and eating compressed starch.

After handing the motorcycle to a soldier, Xisi quickly walked back to his own Limanlus.

As the spearhead, his own Limanlus endured the most concentrated fire.

Only because its armor is far sturdier than a Chimera's did the Limanlus now merely have some dents, the whole vehicle still in near-perfect condition.

"How are the casualties?"

Coming up to the tank, Xisi took out his water bottle and gulped down a mouthful of water.

Although Bunoke and the others were still puzzled about what Xisi had just been doing, none dared to ask.

Taking out a report, Bunoke spread it on the tank's armor plate:

"According to the statistics just compiled, we have suffered roughly ten thousand casualties."

Upon stating the casualty figure, not only Bunoke but also the surrounding officers all showed a sense of pride.

Because Bunoke continued pointing to the lower part of the report, the statistics of casualties inflicted on the Green Skins.

"And we have inflicted at least seventy thousand casualties on the Green Skin alien forms!"

The Mortal Legion, lacking heavy firepower, vehicles, and artillery support, relied solely on infantry to fight the more numerous Green Skins in the wild; not only were they not completely slaughtered by the Green Skins, they actually achieved an exaggerated exchange ratio of one to seven.

If this achievement were to spread, even the Imperial Military Affairs Department would likely mark the unit Xisi raised as anti-Green Skin specialists!

Know that the Green Skins are not only technologically advanced, but also towering and exaggerated in physique; a massed charge can sometimes even hack down an Astartes with chaotic blows.

Compared to the Green Skins, the physique of ordinary mortal soldiers is vastly disproportionate, even exaggerated.

To be able to give such a title to a mortal unit under these circumstances, if this were to get out, the reputation of Xisi's 101st Regiment could instantly rival that of Kadia, one of the Empire's finest legions!

Bunoke and the others' pride on their faces could no longer be suppressed, and their gazes toward Xisi grew more respectful.

They certainly knew that their ability to achieve such an exaggerated battle result was entirely thanks to Xisi's leadership.

Setting down the water bottle, Xisi quickly glanced at the report.

Thereafter he didn't comment on the battle result, merely tightening the water bottle firmly, while organizing his gear he said:

"Continue marching forward, leave a few people to burn the bodies of the fallen, then let them return to the earth."

Bunoke and the other officers were stunned; the crowd exchanged glances, watching the soldiers who had just finished a slaughter, their faces full of weariness; after thinking, Bunoke cautiously said:

"Sir, should we let the soldiers rest a bit more?"

Xisi ignored him, directly jumping two steps onto the tank and re-entering the commander's position.

Putting on the commander's headset, Xisi gazed at the vast desert ahead and the faint Green Skin silhouettes in the distance, taking out his binoculars to scan while speaking:

"The Green Skins will be back soon, and in greater numbers; staying here is just waiting to die."

"As for resting......"

Lowering the binoculars, Xisi pounded the tank's armor with a thud-thud, after which the tank's engine roared to life.

"After waiting to die and returning to the Emperor, there will be plenty of time to rest."

Having said that, the Limanlus surged forward again.

Around, Bunoke and the other officers hurriedly made way, staring agape at Xisi's solution.

Not daring to stare directly at Xisi, a group exchanged a glance, even without sharing opinions; after a brief silence they turned and began carrying out Xisi's orders.

Soon, rings of flame rose from the ground, while ninety thousand soldiers rose again, dragging their weary bodies across the desert as fast as possible.

And on the tank, Xisi's body swayed with the Limanlus beneath him, his gaze toward the direction the Green Skins fled.

He slightly closed his eyes, the corner of his mouth lifting in a repressed smile.

In the direction Xisi was looking, a strange force was crossing the vast expanse, continually empowering him.

Moreover, this force, as time passed, continued to climb at an extremely rapid pace.

In the distance, another sandstorm surged forward across the sky; beyond the storm's horizon, the Green Skins' speeding motorcycles kicked up dust, far behind Xisi's legion.

The fleeing Green Skin youths brought back the news of Xisi being the most Waaagh human; at the same time, this news became the spark that ignited the already battle-hungry Green Skins completely.

Larger, stronger, more numerous Green Skin battle cries began to gather in the depths of the desert, and this time not only were there Green Skin battle cries, but also more tanks and mechs produced by the Green Skin tech talent 'Grand Tech Overlord'.

Engine roars echoed across the sandstorm, as distant skies began to show Green Skin low-altitude bombers; a new wave of sandstorm engulfed Xisi in his own divine might.

Watching the bombs haphazardly dropped by the Green Skin aircraft overhead be scattered by the sandstorm, only distant explosions bloomed over his unit.

Xisi retracted his gaze, lifted the visor shielding dust a bit, revealing only his eyes beneath the wide-brimmed hat, and looked toward the center of the sandstorm.

The earth-shaking great Waaagh accompanied by engine roars surged toward the soldiers with the sandstorm.

The soldiers' expressions were grim; Xisi raised his sidearm, turned, faced the soldiers behind him looking at him, and nodded toward the sandstorm:

"We……"

"Will cut through this group of Alien Forms!"
