Li Mochan stood up, his movements gentle as he helped Ye Jiuliang to her feet.

Once off the plane, Wei Xi and Wei Bei hurried over.

Seeing their disheveled appearance, Wei Bei asked with concern, "My Lord, are you alright?"

Li Mochan shook his head slightly, "Where is Wei Nan?"

After putting down the medicine bowl, Li Mochan picked her up, "Sleep a while if you’re tired."

"How is the situation with Wei Nan?" Ye Jiuliang leaned into his embrace, her head resting on his shoulder.

"The poison has been neutralized, but he hasn’t woken up yet," Li Mochan said.

Ye Jiuliang was surprised, "What do you mean?"

"He’s been poisoned too long; it will take a couple of days to recover even though the poison’s neutralized," he explained.

Ye Jiuliang suddenly understood, a bold guess forming in her mind.

"Mohan, what do you think is the purpose behind the mastermind not targeting Wei Nan?"

Li Mochan looked down at her, knowing they were on the same page, and he slowly said two words, "Antidote."

"You think so too?" Ye Jiuliang’s lips curved up slightly.

Those people had kidnapped members of the Dark Hall, and yet they had not killed them, only poisoned them. In the skirmish on the hillside, they had deliberately avoided Wei Nan. There had to be some connection between these two events.

The only explanation that made sense was they wanted to use Wei Nan to neutralize the poison they had administered.

Put another way, they were fully aware that even if they captured Wei Nan, he wouldn’t willingly work for them; rather than that, it was better to set a trap for Wei Nan to neutralize the poison of his own volition, with the bait being the kidnapped members of the Dark Hall.

Li Mochan nodded, pulling over a brocade quilt to cover them both.

"I’ve already had Wei Dong spread the news that Wei Nan has neutralized the poison of those few," he said.

"Are you planning to draw the snake out of the hole?" Ye Jiuliang leaned comfortably against his chest, her body tilting slightly.

"Wei Dong found out that the man in grey is settled in the M country, probably waiting for news from Wei Nan’s side," Li Mochan said.

Once the news that the poison had been neutralized reached them, those people might very likely target Wei Nan.

All they had to do now was wait patiently; they would willingly walk into the trap.

"I have a great idea," said Ye Jiuliang, mischievously smiling, lifting her hand to hook around his neck and whispering something in his ear.

Li Mochan chuckled, his fingertips lightly flicking her forehead, "Alright, let’s follow your plan."

His little rascals were certainly cunning.

Ye Jiuliang’s eyes narrowed, a cold light flashing briefly.

If they dared to plot against her Li Mochan, she would send them to have tea with the King of Hell.
