A cynical PR executive dies in a drinking binge and awakens in the body of a young Daoist priest guarding a ruined temple in 1990s China—just as he’s about to be hired as a religious consultant for a major TV production. Using his modern knowledge and razor-sharp wit, he turns ancient Daoist lore into a lucrative performance, manipulating producers, directors, and crew with cryptic prophecies and flawless Feng Shui readings. But when a mysterious celestial being—beautiful, ancient, and terrifyingly powerful—appears to him in dreams, claiming to have chosen him as her vessel for cosmic renewal, his game of deception becomes far more dangerous.

As he navigates the cutthroat world of 90s Chinese cinema, dodges religious crackdowns, and uncovers hidden spiritual currents beneath the surface of modernity, he realizes his transmigration was no accident… and the celestial being isn’t here to guide him—she’s here to remake him. Whether he becomes her instrument or her equal depends on how far he’s willing to abandon his old self.
