Chapter 622: Jack Pirates!
Locke opened his eyes; he felt very shocked, thinking he was dead for sure. He looked at Hawkeye; he knew the hatred between himself and Hawkeye had been resolved.
"Thank you, Hawkeye," Locke said. "I will definitely work hard to become a powerful pirate and realize my dream."
Locke left the battle site with Hawkeye; he walked along the coastline, feeling somewhat lost in his heart. He knew he still had a long way to go before he could become a true Pirate King. He was thinking about his dream when he was interrupted by a cheer of "443."
"Hahaha, look at this kid, he's quite spirited!" a drunk man named Banks laughed and walked over. "You're a newcomer, right? You look pretty good."
Locke frowned; he did not like others interrupting his thinking. But Banks had already walked over, and he did not look friendly.
"What do you want?" Locke asked.
"Me? Of course, I'm looking for someone to fight!" Banks said. "The pirates here are all too docile; there isn't a single opponent who can make me feel satisfied."
"If you're looking for a fight, find someone else," Locke said; he did not want to waste time with this drunkard.
"Hehe, kid, you really don't know what's good for you," Banks mocked. "But it doesn't matter; I'll let you taste my power!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than he launched an attack at Locke. Locke did not retreat; he met Banks' attack, preparing to fight him to the finish.
Banks' fist technique was very wild; every attack was like a random mess. Locke's sword technique was very simple; every attack was accurate and error-free, looking very rhythmic.
The two's battle became more and more intense; their figures flashed quickly, emitting harsh clashing sounds. The surrounding pirates watched them fight, not daring to act rashly.
"You kid really have some tricks!" Banks laughed loudly. "But you're still too weak; let me teach you how to fight!"
He suddenly launched a ruthless attack; Locke could not dodge in time and was hit a few times. He felt his body was already somewhat exhausted, but he did not give up.
Locke felt his body was exhausted, but he did not give up. He observed Banks' attacks calmly and composedly, trying to find his flaw.
"You kid have quite a lot of stamina!" Banks laughed loudly. "But you're still too weak!"
"Is that so?" Locke said, his voice very calm. "I don't think so."
He suddenly launched a ruthless attack; Banks could not dodge in time and was hit a few times. Banks' body swayed, but he quickly regained his balance and revealed a mocking smile.
"Still not enough, kid!" Banks said. "You need more experience and strength!"
"You're right..." Locke said. "But I will become even more powerful and defeat opponents like you!"
He launched an attack at Banks again; his sword technique became sharper, and every attack seemed to be tearing the air apart. Banks was forced to retreat step by step; his attacks became more and more chaotic, without any pattern.
"You really surprise me!" Banks roared loudly. "But I have more tricks up my sleeve!"
He suddenly unleashed a mysterious move, and a strong momentum erupted instantly. Locke felt huge pressure; his sword technique became more and more sluggish, unable to contend with Banks' attacks.
"It seems I still need to improve my strength," Locke muttered to himself.
"Hahaha, kid, you lost!" Banks said with a laugh. "Come find me again next time!"
He patted Locke on the shoulder, then turned and left. Locke watched Banks' back, feeling somewhat frustrated, but he also knew he had to work harder to become more powerful.
"You're not bad," a pirate approached Locke and said to him. "My name is Jack, what's yours?"
"My name is Locke," Locke smiled.
"Locke, I heard you're a newcomer pirate," Jack said. "If you need help, you can find me."
